Make sure you bring some of your own towels. Also detergent for the wash machine. There were 8 of us and we each got one towel for 4 days.

Thank you for your feedback! We do want to clarify a few things for future guests reading this review. Our home accommodates larger groups, and we provide one bath towel per registered guest, so for a reservation of 8 guests, 8 bath towels are provided. The home also has a washer and dryer available for guests who would like to wash towels or clothing during their stay. As noted in our house manual, laundry detergent is not provided, so guests planning to use the washer should bring their preferred detergent. We also provide a starter supply of essentials such as toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. These supplies are intended to get guests started rather than provide an unlimited supply for the entire stay. Over the years, we've learned that leaving large quantities of supplies unfortunately leads to excessive use, and sometimes those supplies accidentally find their way into suitcases at checkout. 😊 Our goal is to provide a well-stocked, comfortable vacation home while keeping expectations reasonable and our rates fair for everyone. For a 3–4 night stay, we feel one bath towel per guest, along with access to a washer and dryer, is a reasonable setup. We always encourage guests to review the house manual before arrival so they know exactly what is provided and can pack accordingly. We appreciate you staying with us and hope you otherwise enjoyed the home and your trip!

Stayed at the Mad River Cabin for a fall golf trip and we couldn’t have picked a better spot. House was clean and well appointed, exactly as advertised. Thiago was quick to respond during the stay and was very communicative beforehand about the check in process and what to expect with the house. Can’t recommend this host and house enough.

Ski week

House was very clean upon arrival and plenty of room for everyone. It had snowed one of the nights and the driveway was plowed in a timely manner. It was close to the mountain which was great especially after a long day of skiing. We really enjoyed our stay here and we will be sure to return.

Mad River Cabin was a perfect location and set up for a three night stay with our two families for some skiing at Waterville Valley to mark the new year. It was about 15 degrees outside for most of our stay, and kudos to the rapid clearing of the fresh snow that arrived one of the nights we stayed. Because of the cold, we spent most of our time off the slopes in the spacious and comfortable game room of the cabin. The pellet stove and wood-burning fireplace kept us cozy for TV, games, and catching up on books. The bedrooms were comfortable and provided ample space to rest and recover, and the incredible dining room table was perfect for our party of 8 to eat together. We really enjoyed our stay, and we hope to return at some point in the future!

Beautiful

Hi, we enjoyed this beautiful house for a gathering between family and friends for a bachelor party. It was a hot July weekend! We found local water holes to keep busy during the day and hung by the fire pit at night. The only downfall was no a/c on the first floor of the house, only upstairs bedrooms. We were unable to utilize the beautiful game room because of the temperature. Most rooms and sleeping arrangements were on the 1st floor due to our large party so, that would of made them a little bit more comfortable. Thanks for opening your home to us, we enjoyed it!

Hi Cassandra, We made sure to make mention in our ad that the second floor has Window AC Units but the first floor doesn't have AC, only fans. As of right now, there are ceiling fans in every single room, there are even 2 in the living room, plus 3 - 4 floor fans to help circulate the air. Everyone should have known up front that the home doesn't have Central A/C and July can be hot. Unfortunately, that is out of our control at the moment and we are honest about this in the property description. Everything else that we can do to ensure you have a great stay we will (and have) take care of! Thank you.
