Here, sailors, surfers and kiters will find heavenly conditions with a high guarantee of sunshine and a fresh breeze from the Baltic Sea, which ensures a pleasant climate in the hot summer months.

The proximity to the most popular kilometers of sandy beaches on the island of Rügen, which can also be reached via a well-developed network of cycle paths, makes Wiek a holiday magnet for bathing, cycling and hiking holidaymakers.

The harbor with its two harbor basins forms the center of the resort, around which the idyllic village has developed over the centuries, which has retained its fishing charm, not only with the sailing and passenger ships in the harbor and the small fishing boats.
