My husand and I stayed in the apartment for two weeks and loved the privacy and convience to everything. We used the coast beach pool every day and enjoyed sitting on the lounge chairs at the beach. The sunsets are indescribly beautiful so that became our ritual every day. The staff at the Coast are very friendly and helpful. There is a small market just a 10 min. walk on the main street and they have a good selection. The host was very responsive to all questions and the cleaning staff was great.

Had a wonderful 2-night stay at this charming apartment in Tamarindo. Check-in at The Coast hotel next door was quick and easy, staff were very welcoming and we loved the privacy of our own apartment with use of the hotel amenities. They provided us with our garage door opener to access off-street parking as well as a key card for our own private street entrance, so we felt super safe throughout our stay. We didn’t even need to get in the car again as the center of town with lots of bars and restaurants was an easy 10-minute walk. The apartment had a fully-equipped kitchen and the bedroom and bathroom were both spacious and very comfortable (bed was wonderful!). Katrina, our host, was very responsive and answered all of my questions immediately. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend the apartment and host to anyone looking for a great experience in Tamarindo.

The staff were extremely friendly and professional. I would have liked to speak to the actual person that was in charge of renting the place, as we have stayed many times... and through the years have enjoyed the home, and would have liked to express our appreciation as well as our disappointment to see the prices rise by 44 percent for the new year 2026! Pura Vida!

Hi Philip, we are very happy to see that you have enjoyed your time at the apartment, regarding the price increase, we had not increased the price of this unit since we decided to rent as short term rental years ago, the prices reflects the current economy, dollar exchange rate based on our local colones, and is competitive compered to units in the area that share similar amenities. We do know it’s not ideal to have to increase our prices, but because of the location, hotel amenities, and all this entails we have seen the need to do it to be able to operate, we hope to see you again in the future, we did maintain less of a price increase in the months of September and October, as it is our low season!

Enjoyable 4 night stay!

Very close to the best part of Tamarindo beach, but also right beside the main road. It has a lovely balcony we enjoyed sitting on every day. We also appreciated the access to beach loungers at The Coast Hotel next door.

Loved the suite clean and spacious. We were able to view so many different birds and monkeys right from our deck. Great that we were able to use the coast resort next door!!

Great access to the beach!

This was a great location in a more quiet part of Tamarindo, yet still close enough for a very easy walk to restaurants. The beach access is right there. It was a great stay and we would stay here again.

Great Place and People.

We were very pleased with the quiet end of the beach and the amenities we were able to use at the Coast Hotel. Always felt very safe. Staff at the Hotel were absolutely amazing. Will definitely return to this location in the future.

Great location in Tamarindo!

This spot was perfect for our stay in Tamarindo. Walking distance to anywhere you want to go and the beach is just steps from the door using either the public access or the hotel. Staff is all super nice, everything is clean, and this is a great spot! We hope to back!

Beautiful Magical Location

The place was spotless when we arrived. We had access to the pool, beach, and comfortable lounge chairs. The staff were attentive and friendly. We couldn’t believe how wonderful everything was, from the well stocked kitchen to the beach chairs and boogie boards that were on the porch. Each morning, we relaxed on the balcony with fresh brewed coffee listening to the tropical birds. We were coaxed to the beach by the sounds of the waves filtering through the trees. It made our stay in Tamarindo a vacation to remember. We want to come back and stay at this villa again.

Hi Cecil, we are glad you enjoyed your time at the unit, we would like to clarify that although this is a beachfront property, we don’t offer a beach view from the apartment, as you stated we do have lots of trees on the property, they are meant to be there to help with shade and be the home to birds and monkeys that may pass by! Sometimes the water pressure in town tends to be low but we will definitely work solutions so this experience is better in the future. The perfect place for a couple!

This is a beautiful apartment on the beach in Tamarindo. It was our sanctuary after long days of surfing, e-foil sessions, sunset cruises and long walks on the beach. There are awesome restaurants seconds away. I highly recommend Sofia across the street. You get a 10% discount with the affiliation with the Coast Beachfront Hotel. Also, private off-street gated parking is superb. Used the outdoor shower and foot cleaner every day at the apartment. Will definitely rent this beautiful place again! Thank you!

Quiet End of Tamarindo Beach

We enjoyed our first visit to the Tamarindo Beach area very much. The apartment and hotel beach area was a quiet get-away from the busier, more touristy part of the area. I can't say enough good things about the hotel staff--they were all attentive and always ready to help with whatever we needed. The car service they arranged for us to and from the airport was excellent--dependable and enjoyable rides! Another outstanding memory is the restaurant Sophia right across the street from the apartment. Incredible food, service and live music! The bakery is also awesome for breakfast or takeout to the apartment. (10% discount for all hotel/apartment guests.) We look forward to visiting here again.

Casa Woodbine Apartment is located in a great area. It’s an 8 minute walk to the busy downtown area and about 100 steps to the beach. Having access to the Coast Hotel pool and private beachfront chairs was a major bonus. We used the pool everyday. It was never super busy and some days we had the pool to ourselves! The staff are amazing - friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the privacy of the apartment and the private deck for morning coffee and evening night caps. The lush foliage between our deck and the house on the beach in front of us provided privacy and the opportunity to see birds and monkeys and lizards which was lovely. The king size bed was more comfortable than our own bed at home! As for the apartment space, it was perfect for the two of us. Full kitchen was great as we do like to cook while on vacation to save money. Brand new fridge and the stove worked well. We were able to drink the water from the tap so no need for expensive water bottles and the resulting plastic waste. We did have to chill the water in the fridge tho as it does not run cold from the tap. This apartment does need a bit of refreshing. The furniture was comfy but worn and a few stains. There is a lot of road noise during the day but was quiet all night for sleeping. The kitchen taps need replacing as they leaked and were loose, but these things did not affect our comfort. We felt at home here and would stay again. Katrina the host was very responsive and accommodating

Relaxing stay!

Loved staying in this bungalow! Showerhead in the bathroom was an upgrade improvement from the last time we visited! As well, the outside rinse off shower head and faucet that were installed at the base of the stairs helped with rinsing off before ascending the stairs to the the apartment. Absolutely loved our stay! It's the perfect setup... close to the beach and close to the town! This was our 3rd stay!

So so perfect

We just returned from what the best trip of my life. This apartment was so perfect, yes it’s 10 mins to town by foot but it also allows you get away from the crowds so you get the best of both worlds. The staff was so friendly and the apartment was cleaned everyday. I would highly recommend this place the pictures are exactly what you get.

Best Place Ever

Condo was large, clean, and cool. The security is robust and convenient. The staff was friendly and attentive. The whole place felt cozy and the pool was great. Easy beach access with board rentals. Oh and daily room cleaning. And a web-interfaced TV. Well stocked kitchen. Yeah it was great!
