A little history:
The Saint-Pierre district is considered to be the birthplace of Bordeaux. It was only natural that this ancient Gallo-Roman port, which later became a medieval city, should take the name of the patron saint of fishermen. In the 12th century, the port was filled in. The ramparts of the walled city fell in the 18ᵉ, with the development of the Place de la Bourse. What remained was the 35-metre-high Cailhau defensive gate and pedestrian or semi-pedestrian lanes whose names recall the district's commercial and craft vocation: rue des Argentiers, rue des Bahutiers, or rue du Chai des Farines. In the 16ᵉ century, the district was also populated by bourgeois families around the church of Saint-Rémi.
Public transport:
If you are coming by car, a car park (public and paying) is located under the Place de la Bourse 200 m away.
Public transport:
- Tramway A (stop "Place du Palais") 100 metres from the flat
- Tramways A, C and D (stop "Porte de Bourgogne") 100 metres from the flat
Other remarks :
- Quality sheets, towels and tea towels as well as some coffee capsules, tea bags, sugar, salt, pepper, olive oil...... are provided and your bed is made on arrival.
- Free Wi-Fi access!
- In order to comply with legislation, your booking will require the signature of a contract (mobility lease). To do this, we will need a few additional items (identity card, insurance, supporting documents). Unfortunately, we will not be able to give you access to the accommodation unless you sign a contract in due and proper form. This does not affect the conditions agreed via our website or via the various rental platforms.
On site, you will be welcomed by the Cocoonr team, the agency specialising in "ready-to-live-in" rentals, who will be on hand to help you throughout your stay to make the most of it.
