About Corinne

I served on the board of Tahoe Cedars Property Owners in Tahoma from 2000-2004 working on several programs. In driving the development of the West Shore - Best Shore and The West Shore is the Best Shore trademarks, this was done to formalize the long held affectionate name reference. The property owner's association can now use and market the taglines to promote the highly desired west shore with the intention for proceeds to go back into the community. The license plate frames that I developed - the original chrome and black license plate frames with the bear paw sold like hot cakes and 100% proceeds given to the Marie Sluchak Community Park. Many folks still ask for it! We have a 30 year established El Dorado County dog leashing and licensing ordinance - safety and well being of dogs and citizens is top of mind - we have been able to reduce the large packs of dogs that ran wild in the streets and yards without any consequence or control. Having supported bear protections obtaining funding for aversion efforts that encourage bears to go back into the forest without harm. As a champion of the west shore I know we can continue to improve the quality of life and understanding between part time, full time homeowners and tourists. As a banking and payments entreprenuer, have been in my own consulting practice for many years, working for card companies, banks and processors launching many Visa related programs and products. I finished graduate school in 2010 with a MA in 21st Century Leadership at St. Mary's College in California. I love France and as a Francophile, hope to live there someday and emerse myself in the language and culture! Have huge black male 7 year old IntCH Bouvier des Flandres 'Handsome Hutt' who is my companion and best buddy!

Corinne purchased this house in 1998

Why Corinne chose Lake Tahoe West Shore CA

I rebuilt the original main chalet (Mt. Air House) that faces 4th Avenue keeping the original framing (beams), the roof and stone slab foundation is original. I then expanded to accomodate guests while adding a dining room, separate Fir Top Studio, 1.5 car garage, detailed breezeway, new decks enhancing the property including full scale landscaping, all over a period of six years. A true labor of love. After ten years, with all the positive feedback and interest I decided it was time to share it! Come on by - there is no place like it - great price too for the bundle of amenities, conveniences, quality and beauty of the property inside and out, central location, access to lake and the Homewood Ski Mountain just minutes away!

What makes this house unique

Chalet de Huttlinger won the 2009-2010 Garden Glove Award this year for Tahoe Cedars Tahoma, so the very large yard, lawn and blooming flower boxes and urns, sitting areas and having the various little squirrles, chipmunks, (sometimes Black Bears) and the many birds that sail in for a sip in the fountain are reminders of the beauty of nature all around just by stepping right outside the door or onto deck. You will love it!

Charming, well-maintained, cozy.

I highly recommend Chalet de Huttlinger The property is beautiful - wonderful curb-appeal. The kitchen has high-end appliances and well stocked with all the cooking utensils, etc. The owner provided fresh ground coffee, wonderful wine, water and thoughtful food items. The bedding is luxurious and is well stocked with pillows and towels. There were fresh flowers, which made my stay special. The location is not far from the lake and Meeks Bay Beach, which is my favorite.

Charming Chalet!

  • 5 of 5

This place is an absolute gem! If you like warm, cozy french cottage style place for a family get together, then look no further. The Chalet will always remain special to us - We had planned our 3 month old's first weekend vacation at Tahoma and the chalet surpassed all our expectations. Corinne welcomed my family with some local chocolate brownies and wine. The kitchen was amply stocked, bedding was gorgeous, bathrooms equipped with toiletries, outdoor spa super relaxing and there was no dearth of towels and sheets. I personally enjoy places that have character - and the chalet was full of it. If you appreciate art, then you will notice it in every corner of the place - from kitchen cabinet knobs, cutlery designs, bedding to furnishings. This place is aesthetically pleasing and has a warm feel to it. My family loved it so much that we spent an entire day just laying in the chalet playing board games, enjoying brunch in the patio and relaxing in the outdoor spa.

We were having an amazing stay and we didn't feel like leaving. So, I requested Corinne for a late checkout and she generously offered an additional night free of cost. Since work beckoned us the next day, we graciously accepted only the late checkout. I highly recommend the Chalet - This place will not disappoint you!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. The personal touches such as wine, cheese, crackers and delicious brownies. Also, gorgeous flowers in all the rooms. It was better than a 5 star hotel.

Beautiful and well appointed home on Tahoe's West Shore!

  • 5 of 5

We were lucky enough to find Chalet Huttlinger during a last minute hunt for space over the very busy 4th of July weekend. The home, the grounds and all of the amenities are top notch. Corrine was very communicative and has very clear instructions on how to work all of the key home features. The house has forced air in both units, the BBQ is like new, the hottub was spotless, the kitchen was outfitted with every tool you need and the grounds were spectacular. We will be back!

Quaint, cozy and super dog friendly!

  • 5 of 5

Corinne is an amazing host -- extremely thorough, accommodating, and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She even ended up dog sitting for us while we went skiing! She was able to show us all the great paths to walk the dogs, and give us a thorough tour of the house. The chalet is clearly a work of love for her, and all the beautiful little touches she has built into this home emanates from every corner.

We traveled here with another couple and our 3 dogs (yes three!), which Corinne approved to our delight. She had wine and brownies waiting for the human guests, and cute dog treats for the dogs. The kitchen is small but we had everything needed to cook meals and enjoy them in the dining area. The chalet is a bit tight, but it has everything you need. And if I struggled to locate something, Corinne was a responsive text away. We also liked the layout because it allowed for more privacy -- the second bedrooms is essentially a separate house connected by a breezeway so both couple enjoyed maximum privacy. Very lovely stay, ideal for couples traveling together or families with older children.

Nice getaway spot. I will back.

As a professional angler and guide, I stayed at the Fir Top Studio at the chalet as I was traveling through. I have seen many lodges and this one is gorgeous, warm, inviting, and the host is very accommodating and supportive. I will be back!
