A trusted, family-owned business proudly serving Maggie Valley and Waynesville travelers since the early 1990s.

Set in the gated Cataloochee Ranch Estates, Mountain Dayz Cabin offers sweeping views of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and a blend of luxury and rustic comfort. With a sauna, hot tub, and two fireplaces, this home is ideal for those seeking both relaxation and adventure.

The open floor plan features hardwood floors, large windows, and a stone fireplace, while the upstairs master suite offers privacy and beautiful natural light.

A four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive vehicle is required during the winter months (November 1 through mid-April) due to possible snow and icy mountain roads. The property is accessible year-round, but weather conditions can change quickly at higher elevations—please plan accordingly.

A wonderful place to spend Christmas/new years! Our family came to ski Cataloochie and ended up spending half our time just relaxing at the cabin…the hot tub was wonderful for relaxation, the kitchen well appointed and all the beds were so comfy - even our picky tweens loved the lower level to have their own space away from mom and dad.Highly recommend for families!

Although the cabin itself is a bit outdated, they are doing their best to keep it up to date with brand new appliances. The location is everything to this place and we enjoyed the short drive to the Smoky Mountains as well as beautiful hikes on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Bonus were the donkeys! Beautiful and kind creatures who made us feel welcome by greeting us joyfully every day we would pass them!

Such an amazing home to vacation in! There was plenty of room & everything we needed was easily located. Paul was a great & helpful host as well. I enjoyed how close to town it was & the donkeys to & from the house were a joy!

Christmas stay

My husband, son, and myself stayed at the property for our annual Christmas getaway and not only was the house perfect and very accommodating, the checkin process was very smooth! The beds were very comfortable and loved chilling in the jacuzzi or playing a few games of pool. I would 100% recommend this place to stay at!

Memories made

We loved the area because the neighbors weren't too close and the house felt private but it was a close drive to lots of activities. We enjoyed this vacation so much because we were able to spend it outdoors with the kids and they had so much fun. No one was on devices or electronics except down time at night ;) We made a lot of great memories on this trip!!!! We'd love to come back!

The house and the view was just what was needed to relax. The kitchen is well equip. Loved the espresso machine. The view of Smokey mountains was beautiful. The donkey was a treat greeting us coming and going.

Awesome experience!

Now that I have been to the mountains I can tell it is quite an experience to live and everyone should at least try it once. In fact, one of the things that make your experience such a good one is the place you stay, and this cabin does an excellent job in welcoming you. It has everything you need and it perfectly furnished for comfort!

Fantastic Getaway!

This home was perfect for our family of 4, and we would definitely come back and stay here again. The sauna and hot tub were wonderful to come home to after spending the day exploring the area. The location is stunning, but believe them when they say to plan your first arrival before dark. The dirt road is winding and a bit bumpy, and the driveway is daunting the first time. The house was clean and comfortable, and had everything we needed for our Thanksgiving stay. It was nice to have a wood fire on the main floor, and also charming to have the basement gas fire while we played pool and hung out. We highly recommend this home for anyone's vacation!

Very nice family getaway in the mountain

Our family of 6 stayed at this well-maintained mountain cabin for 4 nights. House was well-equipped with everything and the kitchen was well-updated with nice appliances as well. Kids enjoyed the hot tubs, but we only wish the hot tub was hotter as we could not control the temperature and was getting cold at night times. Everything else was fantastic!

Wonderful place!

The property was beautiful! Well maintained, gorgeous views, beautiful kitchen, plenty of space, and a nespresso machine! I would consider staying at this exact same home. My only concern was the cameras on the porch near the hot tub. It felt a little uncomfortable and invasive! Other than that, I give this place a 5star!

Perfect Mountain Getaway

This home was perfect for our family of 6 with kids ranging from 4-14. Everyone had their own space and the views were fantastic off the porch at every time of day whether we were drinking coffee or relaxing in the hot tub after hiking in the Pisgah. It was far enough away from town to feel secluded and there are lots of towns to visit with hiking, swimming, museums, breweries, etc. The property managers were very responsive to our needs when I had questions. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, pots and pans, etc so you don’t have to eat our every night. The downstairs area with the pool table was great at night so we could hand as a family buy the bigger kids could stay awake and watch tv, listen to music and shoot pool while the little ones went to bed. We will be back here for sure!
