About this property

Les Bergeries across from a 16th-century manor house

Welcome to Les Bergeries, a house of character nestled in the Domaine de la Fresnaye, a historic monument of the sixteenth century located in the heart of the Perche.
More than just accommodation, we offer you an immersion in a place steeped in history, surrounded by a wooded park and remarkable landscapes. Every summer, the estate hosts exhibitions and the manor house is open to visitors, helping to discover this exceptional heritage.
The house, which has just been completely renovated in a chic and sober style, benefits from a privileged location within the estate. You will have a terrace and immediate outdoor spaces. The park of the manor, with its remarkable trees and its different viewpoints, is a full part of the experience of the stay.
It is important to note that the estate is open to visitors during summer afternoons, but the visiting areas are separate from the cottage, allowing everyone to enjoy the place serenely.
We also live on the property, in another outbuilding without vis-à-vis the house.
Les Bergeries develops about 120 m² on two levels.
On the first floor, an entrance leads to a bright bedroom equipped with a 140 x 190 cm electric bed and a private bathroom with WC. The glass roof is closed by blackout curtains, the window by shutters and blackout curtains.
The open, fully equipped kitchen offers a privileged view of the famous charm planted under Henri IV, a true emblem of the estate.
The dining room comfortably accommodates meals around a large wooden table, while the living room invites you to relax with its sofas and pellet insert.
Upstairs, the master bedroom offers a beautiful view of the manor house and has a 160 x 200 cm bed and a private bathroom with toilet. The window is blacked out by interior shutters.
An office allows you to work in peace and quiet with a view of the Percheron countryside. This room also has a fold-out bed to accommodate two additional people on request.
A third bedroom offers two beds of 90 x 190 cm and has an independent bathroom with bath, double sink and toilet. The window is closed by shutters and curtains.
Outside, a private terrace equipped with a plancha allows you to fully enjoy the summer evenings.
Many areas of the estate, shaded or sunny, also invite you to walk and contemplate.
A pond with a small waterfall, fish, aquatic plants and dragonflies is located between the cottage and the manor house. Supervision of young children is therefore essential near this space.
Shaded parking available at the back of the house.
The gîte is non-smoking inside.
