Why Karen and Stephen Seymour chose Pine Point

Karen and Stephen have always loved the ocean and spend more time walking on the beach in winter than in the summer! Pine Point is one of the best beaches they have ever walked, and the community is not over-commercialized.

Fantastic - will return

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was excellent and Pine Point is amazing! This was my first time visiting Maine and could not have found a better place. Only a few minutes from Portland by car and from the beach by foot. Very warm feel in the cottage itself and very well-utilized space. The beds are a little short (at 6'4" my feet protruded rather far from the edge) but having said that there is no wasted space. Everything is comfortable and the cottage is a great value for where it is. The hosts are wonderful and have clearly thought of everything! Visitors are even provided a hand drawn parking map to alleviate any potential issues. I have recommended it to others already and will continue to!

Peaceful and Serene Beach Cottage

  • 5 of 5

This was our third year staying at Karen and Steve’s Rose Wind Cottage at Pine Point Beach. We always go on the off-season but the cottage is so perfectly tucked away it really feels private and yet it is only a short walk to the beach. Karen is a wonderful property owner and the cottage is very well maintained. We love to watch the birds, play games, walk the seashore and go up to visit Two Lights State Park. If you’re looking for the perfect little peaceful getaway- this is it.

This was the perfect cottage for a weekend away from the city. I would love to stay here again if I'm ever up that way.

It was good for what we needed this trip

  • 4 of 5

The house is a short walk to a beautiful beach. This is a cute, but tiny place. I would recommend for 2 people, or 2 adults with kids that don't want to hang out with them. :) There are two small bedrooms, and in living room, a loveseat and 3 kitchen chairs to sit on. For sure, most people are there to be outside; there is a picnic table and a couple of chairs. We were there right before everything closed down in mid-October, so weather dicey. Cottage seems recently renovated, and is decorated in a Maine, beachy theme...kitchen well-equipped. There is apparently a parking battle going on with the neighbors, but they never showed up, so all clear. (Pine Point in general probably has parking issues when things are busy...guessing that's true of the whole coast of Maine). Fun restaurant "The Garage" within walking distance and "Pine Point Grille" and ice cream place nearly. Also "Holy Donut"...oh my goodness. We were close enough to Portland to drive easily, and Portland has lots to do and see. Overall, a good experience.
