This a nice location for Mississippi River enthusiasts, Driftless bluffs enthusiasts and train enthusiasts. The house was nice and clean, the kitchen was equipped well, and is a perfect place for couples.

This was a beautiful place. It was even better in person than the pictures showed! So peaceful and relaxing! Despite the bird hunting shots in the morning, we enjoyed this place completely from sun up to sun down!

Set up well. Everything was there that we needed. Host communicated well and responded quickly. Beautiful location; right on the Mississippi main channel. Three days of beautiful sunrises.

Amazing location of the house along the Mississippi River, with very easy access to the lovely dirt roads in the region for gravel bicycle riding. The house was amazingly quiet except for when the train was passing through, but if the windows are closed, the train noise is very much minimized. The kitchen has everything you need to make simple meals, and the garage was an amazing place for us to work on our bikes.

Wonderful Place

This place was amazing and we would definitely stay again! The property is very clean and you can't beat the view! We loved hanging out on the back patio in front of the fire table watching all of the boats go by on the river.

Parent Weekend at College

We stayed the weekend to visit our son who goes to college locally. What a great little spot right on the Mississippi River. Beautiful sunrises that illuminated the entire cottage. Super clean and everything we may have needed was provided.

Perfect little getaway

We loved the location right on the river! The most beautiful views and sunrises in the morning. Lots of boat action to watch also. House was great, clean, simple and stocked with all the essentials. We stopped at the gas station a few times and it was very cute and the people were very friendly. Saxon Hall had the best pizza and entertaining atmosphere. We definitely recommend this place to stay if you looking for a relaxing yet entertaining stay.

Fun on the river!

Fishing paradise. Cleaning station was great. Bed comfortable. Kitchen perfect. Bathroom excellent. View spectacular. Ambience 10/10. See you again soon!

Great place for couples fishing getaway

This little house was perfectly clean and appointed. Our host, Cathy, was very responsive to our questions. She had the patio cushions out for us and the house cool when we arrived. We brought a fishing boat with us. The Wildcat Landing boat launch was super close and we easily docked our boat at the floating pier for the week. We enjoyed fishing in various parts of the river, but actually caught the most right off the dock. Cathy even has a fish cleaning area in the garage, and she took care of the fish guts for us. Afternoons on the patio were perfectly shaded, so enjoying the gorgeous view with an evening cocktail was very comfortable. LaCrosse is only 20 minutes away and a very nice city to wander. We plan to be back sometime next summer.

Loved being right on the river

Very nice, clean and comfortable. We would have liked shades or curtains on the sun facing windows, but we loved the view of the river.

Beautiful!! Will be back!

Wonderful little stay on the Mississippi River. The most AMAZING sunrises to wake up to ... as well as beautiful moon rises over the river. We will definitely be back! Fun little bars in town if you wish to step out ... had a blast. Ran down to the meat market across the border in IA, and that was a hoot! Very CLEAN and had every thing you need in a kitchen to cook anything. Wonderful host!

Wonderful Little River getaway

We had a wonderful two night stay at the river house. Communication was great. The house is just as advertised, clean, pretty a great location, and fully stocked for anything we would need. We definitely look forward to coming back for another visit.

Rest & Relax

My girlfriend and I chose this rental for a weekend get away to unwind and decompress from our jobs. This place was exactly what we needed. Not too big and not too small. Located right on the water with it’s own boat dock making this a perfect place if you plan boat/water activities. The morning sunrises here are perfect!

Riverside getaway

This property is so cute! And the views are beautiful! The sunrise is worth getting up for! The property owner is great with communication and very nice. The fishing off the dock was great and will for sure be back again!
