Ralph was an amazing host. We needed a property and live locally for a short term rental and this house on Airdrie was absolutely fantastic. Ralph made the check-in and checkout process so seamless and was there if anything did come up, thankfully it did not. We would highly recommend this to any travelling guests or families.
This vacation rental was even better than described in the listing. The property and grounds are beautiful. The house has every amenity imaginable and is very well organized. In particular, the kitchen is very well equipped, the bathrooms have been updated nicely, and the beds are extremely comfortable. All in all, a wonderful experience; a home away from home.

This property has it all!
This property met our expectations and then some! On our approach we were pleasantly surprised with this delightful neighbourhood. A well-maintained street with quiet but friendly neighbours. A lovely green tree lined road which provided shade for our hire car during the August heat. Once inside the property there were lots of 'Wows' and 'Ahs' as we aquainted ourselves with what would be our home for 2 weeks. We were met with the cool from the airconditioning (outside was 30'C when we arrived at midday). Furnishings fitted the bill perfectly, the main living areas neutrally coloured and very clean. Wood floors and thick rugs complete the look. I was amazed at how well the kitchen was appointed with gadgets and plenty of cooking equipment: pots, pans, bowls and utensils. I managed to cook up quite a storm when we had our Canadian family for lunch. Outside there is a gas BBQ which works off the mains supply- what a brilliant idea, we haven't thought of that yet in the UK! Again, many a tasty dish was created on that grill. Downstairs, the cellar (basement) is under development. However we were able to use the beautiful hotel-style bathroom with huge power shower, although my concern is that damp may be a problem in the future. Would love to come back and see how the basement is converted. Upstairs is a haven for coolness during the hot summer with aircon in all 3 bedrooms and a fan at the top of the stairs. We found the aircon noisy as we Brits are not used to it so we turned it off for sleeping. The rooms remained cool until the morning. Furnishings again as seen in the pictures are spot on and well looked after. How lovely to find the cupboards in the main bathroom well stocked with quality toiletries, sun cream and a first aid kit. Towels are white and fluffy although a little small for our tall family. The beds were some of the most comfortable we have experienced while on holiday. Lots of novels and magazines can be found around the house with tips on what to do in Toronto. The position of the house was perfect. Far enough away from the bright lights to give us peace when we wanted it but only a 25 min bus and subway ride to the city. There are some fantastic shops, restaurants and bars only a 5 minute walk away including Loblaws the supermarket just round the corner (with a big carpark). There is a well cared for cemmetry at the end of Airdrie which was nice for a tranquil stroll or jog and gives access to more shops. A super place to reflect.

The owners appreciate the very positive reviews from this guest and would like to take this opportunity to advise on the future vision of the basement renovations which are currently underway and targeted to be complete in the next few months.
The next step in the renovations will be to extend the marble flooring in the bathroom throughout the basement hallway. For added comfort, the bathroom and hallway will also feature in-floor heating. In addition, a gas fireplace has been installed in the living area of the basement with a thermostat control for guest comfort. This area will offer a leisure setting as a second living room for our guests. The renovation plan will also include an exercise area for guest use. A dehumidifier has also been installed with direct hookup to the basement drainage system to support continuous management of humidity moving forward.
In terms of the air conditioner, we can certainly appreciate our guest’s sensitivity to A/C operation not being acclimated to the use of A/C on a regular basis in the temperate UK climate. The air conditioner system installed at the guest property is a high end unit placed within the home attic to maximize A/C efficiency and effectiveness. The operation of the A/C unit does run more quietly than the traditional A/C units placed in windows, however, per our guest’s note, the A/C can be shut down and/or temperature adjusted to minimize night use and yet sustain/maintain comfort.
The perfect home away from home in Toronto near family
This beautiful home suited our 3-generations perfectly: one comfy queen-size bed for my husband and me, one queen-size bed for my daughter and son-in-law, and two twin beds for my granddaughters in the third bedroom. The house felt roomy on three levels. The deck looking out at the lovely garden was where I like to enjoy my morning coffee and croissant. Not only were we in walking distance of my nephew's family, but also the Bayview Avenue shopping. I found Rathier to have world-class French pastries and Alex Farm had the an incredible choice of cheeses. As a bonus, I met the next door neighbor who joined me on the deck for a glass of wine one sunny afternoon.

Oasis in the City
Our family of four had the pleasure of staying at this property for a month. We were greeted with gorgeous new landscaping around the property and comfy cozy house interior. It felt like an oasis in the City. Very quiet, birds chirping, nice neighbours. Communication with Ralph was great and provided written instructions about the house and surrounding areas. I would recommend this property to anyone seeking a central and safe neighbourhood in Toronto.

Perfect location in Toronto
Knowing Toronto very well we picked this lovely home because of the excellent location, close to the city and in a wonderful, quiet neighbourhood. We were a family of 4 adults, so the layout of the house was perfect for us. It is more than a vacation rental, you really feel at home there. It is clean, well equipped, you could not ask for more. The listing description was absolutely accurate. We would come again, thank you Ralph !!

Perfect location size and ammenities
We were very impressed with the house. It accommodated our large family comfortably. The rooms and beds were extremely comfortable, and we were able to sleep well without disturbing each other. The upstairs bathtub is a bit tricky for adults, but the downstairs shower made up for it and we used it to bathe mostly the kids. I found it amazing that we never lacked a thing, anything you could have possibly needed was available. I loved all the appliances. I honestly felt like I was at home, and had always lived here! It was hard to leave! The location was also perfect. We were 10min drive from the heart of downtown Toronto, and 10 minutes from my family's home. It was an easy walk to shops and restaurants off Bayview, but we also trekked up to Young and thought it was easy. The public transportation is also very easy to use. When we won't be staying with my parents when we come to visit, we will love to stay here again!

Loved this house.
What a great rental property in beautiful Leaside in Toronto. The house is exactly as shown. The heated floor in the basement bathroom is wonderful.
Linens, pots, pans, furniture, the best we have found in a rental property.
We liked the location because it is away from the concrete jungle but close enough to travel downtown within about 20 minutes.
We easily travelled to Niagara Falls, a couple of wineries, the Distillery District, Art Gallery, Kensington Market, attended a Blue Jays game and more.
We were walking distance to the Starbucks and a Gelato shop on Bayview Ave!
Our daughter lives about 10 minutes away so we easily entertained them and other relatives.
Ron sends such good information, especially if you have never visited Toronto.
We had a great time.

charming
While holidays should be trouble free, the test of a great host is how he or she or they manage problems. We had a couple of minor issues and Ralph, from three time zones, away was able to resolve them quickly and smoothly.
The house is charming. There was room and comfort for two parents and three teenagers. The porch and backyard were perfect for a summer dinner for ten grownups while the guys went to a Blue Jays game.
The neighborhood is typically Toronto:a quiet enclave close to all necessities and 10 minutes walk from a World Class grocery store (Longo's).
The house is off the subway line but easy driving to downtown.
Thanks again to Ralph for a wonderful time.

Wonderful home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your delightful home in Leaside. We were in Toronto for our daughters wedding and hosted a few 'get-togethers' here. The garden was lovely for the pre-wedding pictures and for our small grandsons to play in. The home was clean, comfortable and we love the neighborhood. Walking to the shops along Bayview was great. All three bedrooms were lovely. The downstairs bathroom was the favorite ... but we really appreciated having two for us all to get ready. Thank you again.

Fantastic Experience in Leaside!
We had a fantastic experience with this vacation rental. We stayed for one week in November 2012 (two couples with three small children between us). The house was immaculate and tastefully decorated, without a lot of nic nacs which was important for us since we had three toddlers running around. Basement was semi-finished which worked out well for us, since the kids could play in the carpeted area which currently does not have furniture (though I believe the owner is planning to furnish it in early 2013). Kitchen is gorgeous and the appliances (including washer and dryer) are top-notch. Backyard is also lovely. Cleaning products and paper products were all provided, as well as some toiletries. Owner was proactive and very responsive to any of our queries -- a real pleasure to deal with. Neighbourhood was great -- lots of little shops and restaurants a block away, and parks and the library within a short drive so perfect for people travelling with kids. We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a quality vacation rental in a great Toronto neighbourhood.

Beautiful home
Thanks Ralph for the beautiful rental while we were in Toronto, it was just as advertised only the pictures didn't show how nice it really is! We all had a great time at the wedding and your house provided a great place for us to hang out with family between the wedding and the reception. Everything was very clean and new and your decor made us feel like we were at home. The new bathroom in the basement is awesome and I'm sure when the rest of the basement is finished it will be beautiful as well. All in all we had an absolutely great time and I would highly recommend your home to anyone visiting Toronto.

Good Location, Nice House
My family (2 young kids, 2 adults) and my parents stayed at this house in July and we were very impressed with the quality of the home. Very well and tastefully furnished. It's in an excellent location to downtown if you want to be close to the city, but escape some of the traffic. Also, it's in a great location for shopping and eating. The owners were GREAT to work with. Very responsive and informative. Overall, we had a nice time and would definitely recommend this rental to anyone wanting a quick get away to Toronto.

A Perfect Place to Stay
Our family of five (three teenagers) enjoyed a very pleasant stay at Airdrie Rd for three months. The property is beautifully appointed, with comfortable furnishings, a magnificent fireplace, and a pretty back yard. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything we required to whip up meals for family and friends, and we made good use of the outdoor entertaining area. The kids loved soaking in the claw-foot bath, while the basement is fitted out with a hot and strong massage-head shower! We were also provided with an assortment of books, magazines and dvds. The neighbourhood is gorgeous, with leafy tree-lined streets, and a great range of shops, cafes, restaurants and amenities within an easy walking distance. Public transport is a breeze, with bus and train services getting you downtown in under 20 minutes. The owners are very helpful and accommodating, and are always available for assistance, providing us with everything we needed for our extended holiday. We loved exploring Toronto's various neighbourhoods and attractions, and the kids loved all the rides at Wonderland. If you have a car, make sure you get out to the small towns like St. Jacobs, Niagara-on-the-Lake or Picton.
A truly memorable stay in a top location.
It was very difficult to leave our home away from home.

Great Home - Great Location!
My wife and two children stayed at this lovely home in July, 2010. We couldn't have been more pleased. The house is very clean, spacious, comfortable and well maintained and equipped. The kitchen is state of the art. The back yard (deck, furniture, garden, bar-b-que) were made for relaxation. In addition, there is a wonderful assortment of shops and restaurants only a 5 minute walk away. We had a great time in Leaside and highly recommend this house to you.
