Great home for our family

We enjoyed our time in this home. It was a great location close to many beautiful places. The home was nicely renovated and large with good living areas for relaxing after long days exploring the coast.

Great place to stay in a quiet neighborhood. There’s an excellent coffee shop right up the road, but it isn’t a commercial area at all. Super cute cozy house.

Charming home near historic Bath

We had a lovely stay with three generations (6 total) staying in this generous home for a nearby college graduation. We toured area towns, went to the beach and the maritime museum - all wonderful and convenient. A great place!!

Great Location

The property is very close to bath and its restaurants and shopping. We also enjoyed being close to the Library (great children’s section and the Maritime Museum ( also good for kids). Equal distance between Reid State Park and Popham Beach and near to other quaint towns.

We had a super stay in Bath. The house is family friendly and comfortable. The kitchen is updated and super well-stocked for cooking. The lower level bathroom is also updated, roomy, and includes top-notch laundry. There are three bedrooms and another full bathroom upstairs. There are mini-splits to cool and heat the house throughout. The extra den/t.v. room was a nice addition and the living room is a good size with a dining table. We had five adults and a baby and had plenty of room. We also enjoyed sitting on the deck outside. This house is very practical. It is not stylish (furnishings/decor average) and the deck/backyard needs some care. The staircase is old and a very narrow and has an electric chair on one side. Decor aside, I gave our stay five stars because we loved our stay, felt the price was good, and thought the location was convenient (about one mile to downtown). We would stay again!

Great Stay

The House was exactly as noted in the VRBO Listing. Was clean and ready to go upon arrival. The House is an historical landmark...but has been updated and remodeled in some respects, but retains its roots if you look close enough. I recommend this property if you happen to be traveling to Bath.

Great house and location.

A+ We had a great stay. Sheri was great at communicating before our arrival. Upon arrival, entry was easy, the house was as described and very clean. Everything worked perfect. The location is great for exploring Bath and the surrounding areas. We were in town during Heritage Days and it was a 2 min drive or 15 min walk to all the goings on. I’d definitely stay here again.

All the comforts of home

Very comfy house for 2 couples. Lots of space to relax, cook, dine, play cards. Furnished for comfort. Washer and dryer a plus for travelers. Enjoyed outdoor deck, A/C. Stairs might be a concern for some, and sloped ceilings upstairs, but a great house for a family or small group.

Convenient location with attention to details

We had a comfortable stay in Bath, ME and were very pleased with all of the special touches and attention to detail that helped make the stay easy, such as USB ports next to each bedside, information booklets with area details separated by type of activity, easy storage by the front door, and other touches that made it obvious the owner put great thought into it all. I had a very enjoyable stay with my family (3 generations). Would definitely recommend to others!

Nice property, quite location

A great property, accurately described. Property was clean and in good condition, and in a quiet neighborhood. Very nice kitchen, deck, and living room areas. Bathrooms are fine, downstairs could use a redesign so the laundry area was separate, but perfectly fine.

Awesome Location for Traversing Maine!

Centrally located to major tourist sites and cities, Bath is a charming, quaint, and chill town. Great food, a great laid-back breath of fresh air. The house was perfect for our family. It was fully stocked, clean, and comfy. Zero complaints. We have stayed in many rentals over the years, and this house by far had the best staples for use and comfy beds. Located about a mile out of town, if you want quiet and a lovely water view while grilling or sipping coffee, this is it!

It was wonderful at 1317 Washington Street!

The stay was wonderful. The house was as pictured, the rooms were perfect, the A/C was fantastic! The deck was comfortable (the only thing we discussed was maybe some cushions for the chairs, they were very hard). The six ladies were there for a three day golf tournament and we said we wished that it was an annual because we would love to stay there every year! The parking was an issue, we thought, and then we were able to park in a lot one block away - it was perfect for four cars to accommodate six different tee times. Overall we give it a fantastic rating, highly recommend!

Just Okay Overall

The property was not very clean. We were there for 3 weeks with no access to a vacuum to clean in between and no real cleaning supplies (rags, windex, cleaners). Sink in bathroom did not drain adequately. No lobster pot or tools to eat at home. Quite surprised for Maine! Location okay to access surrounding areas. Property manager most helpful and responsive when needed.

I was very surprised and disappointed to receive your review. I make it a point to be available and responsive to all renter concerns, and responded to you immediately when you contacted me with a question early in your stay. Yet in the times we talked and communicated via phone and email at no time did you mention any unhappiness with the cleanliness of the home. I manage the property for the owners, and have had this business for many years. I take immense pride in the cleanliness of my rentals. I have over 100 reviews from my properties where renters state how clean they are, including one from the renter just before you of this property. Had you made me aware of your concerns I would have immediately sent a cleaning crew, more supplies, or whatever you needed. And I left basic cleaning supplies in both the kitchen and downstairs bathroom, as well as a broom and dustpan. I am disappointed that rather than giving me the opportunity to address the problem in real time you chose to instead share a negative review after it was much too late to correct any issue. I hope you had a safe journey home to Florida.

Bath, Maine

The photos in the listing are a bit deceiving. There were 5 of us - a couple in their upper 50's, a couple in their 60's and sister 80 years old. The staircase is very very steep. The King Size bedroom is next to the kitchen with barn doors and no A/C. The photos show this room as a dining room. The back patio had no shade. The photos show a large orange umbrella. No cushions on outside wood seating. The photos make it look as though you can walk to water. Not so, it is private property. We did not find an area to walk to water the listing states 5 minute walk to water. Overall the house was comfortable and clean but bring toilet paper and coffee. For 5 people we only had two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom and 3 caffeinated K-cups. Other K-cups we were not interested in. There is a drip machine and some coffee in freezer. We went and bought toilet paper and K-cups. There are a few things I was disappointed about but if I mentioned might be considered nit picking but I have stayed at better equipped VRBO's in the past.

Thanks for your feedback, Helen. I wish you would have reached out during your stay, as much of your disappointment would have been resolved. It's tough to make it better for our guests when left in a review ! My apologies that you were disappointed over a few things.... we strive for happy guests, as you can see from the majority of our reviews !! We do only leave enough paper products for each rental to get our guests started, (as stated in the welcome letter) and we are sure to leave a variety of k-cups, teas and coffee, sometimes they are not to everyone's liking. Most of our guests bring along what they prefer as to ensure they have the flavors they like ! We are a short walk to the Kennebec River, which is accessible to us from town land, not private land owners. The home is an older home, so the steps are definitely not what you find in a new home ! Again, we appreciate your feedback, as it helps us to improve ~

Great place

Overall great place, appointments, and neighborhood. Communication was prompt. Only thing to be aware of is the parking is somewhat limited. We could only fit 2 vehicles in the driveway, and with limited street parking and 3 vehicles in our party we had to get somewhat creative. Other than that I would recommend.

Everything a guest might need!

We enjoyed staying at this home very much. It was clean and comfortable and nicely appointed for guests. The kitchen was very nicely outfitted with everything you might need for cooking or baking. The deck was a very nice place to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather and catch a glimpse of the river. However there is no access to the river within walking distance that is not private property.
