Welcome to The Elm Street Inn, an 18th century house with modern amenities. The house is across from Smith College and a short walk to Downtown Northampton. LGBTQ friendly. Everyone is welcome. This is a beautiful decorated suite with a jacuzzi tub and shower. The jet is not working inside the jacuzzi.

Great location, very close to downtown. The place itself was very clean, charming, and comfortable, with a bit more space than the photos show. The mini fridge and microwave were helpful to have during my five-night stay, though there was a variety of restaurants nearby as well. Xianxiu was very communicative and responsive before and during my stay, and keeps a beautiful property. I would recommend this property, without hesitation, for anyone seeking a quaint, quiet stay in Northampton.

The Elm Suite was delightul - cozy and full of charm! It was a perfect location for everything in downtown Northampton! You only need to park your car once and can easily walk everywhere to restaurants, bars, shops, and music venues:-)!

The host was very nice but the quality of the room was poor. The floors very uneven, light from the 1st floor showing through tge cracks. The carbon monoxide detectors had motion censors that lit up the entire room. The beds were as hard as a rock and the pillows were very flat and old. I booked the room because the listing had a whirlpool tub. Shortly before my stay I learned the jets dont work. Upon check in I told her one guest was leaving Thurs am and I had another staying Friday night and I might need 1 more towel. I was told it would be a 20 charge. Only 2 towels for a 5 night stay with 2 people is crazy.

Thank you for your feedback. As this is the historical house, the floor is poorly insulated. I understand that charging guests extra for the towels is not the best practice. No more extra charge for the towels. I will write it in detail that the jets are not working for the jacuzzi. I am sorry for your unpleasure stay with us.

Our stay here was amazing! The host was great about checking in and was super responsive. The room is quaint and cozy. The bathtub was perfect for a romantic weekend getaway. We both have back problems and the bed was comfortable and we both woke up pain free. We will definitely be back! Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful room!

The place was terrific and exactly as advertised: it was clean, charming, had an extra bed and a great bath. It wasn't a large space, but everything was in the right place, and it was well appointed. The surrounding area is also lovely.

Amazing Stay in Northampton

The space was exactly as advertised AND MORE. It is an amazing place to stay while in Northampton, within 15 minutes walking distance to the downtown where almost all the attractions are located. I came to this suite for a wedding and it is amazing. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a place to stay in Northampton.

I love the experience of hosting and meeting new people! I am a Smith alumna, and a special education teacher at a local school district. I work during week days from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., but live in the house - Willow House and will love to meet you between 7 - 8 p.m. Please feel free to knock at our door to say hi, introduce yourself or anything you need. I will also be available in case of emergency during the day.
