When you aren't working on your tan or exploring the main drag of this coastal town, spend a bit of time soaking up the salty breeze on the front or back deck with a favorite beverage and book in hand. Inside, neutral tones, high-end furnishings, and coastal decor will greet you with open arms to provide the utmost comfort for each lucky guest. When mealtimes come around, showing off your culinary skills will be a blast with a stove, full fridge, dishwasher, and ample counter space for meal prep. Not to mention, the rest of the gang can hang out and watch favorite shows and movies on the TV in the adjacent living room as dinners are cooking. A dedicated workspace is also available for guests. At night, rest up in the bedrooms, each of which has been outfitted with a new, firm mattress.

Great House, But a Few Simple Things Could Make It Fantastic

First of all, the house and location are great- 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom just a block from the beach with two covered vehicle spaces. We were there for a beach volleyball tournament, which was just a 10-12 minute walk. Covered front and back porches were great places for a morning cup of coffee or to watch a passing rain shower. The only downsides were that 1) the unit could have been cleaner (hair in the showers and on the linens) and 2) a lack of communication from the hosting company. Vacasa reached out to inquire about cleanliness with a rating scale a few hours after check in. At that time, we had not yet noticed the master shower had hair in it nor had we pulled back any covers to reveal stained linen and hair in the sheets on a downstairs bed, so we gave it a clean rating. After discovering these a few hours later, we changed the rating and a Vacasa team member reached out immediately indicating that a local person would be in contact the following morning. No one ever did reach out throughout our stay, and we simply dealt with the issues. Also just a note, the kitchen, while having basic necessities for cooking, does not have any other items you may expect from staying at other VRBO properties, like salt/pepper, extra paper towels, or trash bags. The listing didn’t say that they did have these items, but this is just something that we would’ve like to read on a review so we were better prepared. All in all, it’s a great house in a great location!

Firstly, don’t rely on previous reviews regarding the amenities at the beach house. No beach accessories are available; you’ll need to bring and buy your cooking condiments if you plan to cook anything. The house itself is comfortable if you’re mainly using it for sleeping, but it wasn’t immaculate when we arrived—there were even beer cans left on the patio, and the rest of the house could have used a little extra attention. The location is convenient, though; you must cross a main road to reach the public access beach parking lot.

Perfect for family of 5.

Plenty of space for a family with 3 grown children, nicely decorated, and well within walking distance of the beach, food and other coastal attractions, as well as nightlife. The outdoor shower was an excellent bonus we used often. And very nice to have the wagon and beach stuff to carry chairs across the street. We would gladly return to this property.

Beautiful home

21 Palms is a well decorated house in great condition with easy and quick access to the beach. It was well maintained and extremely clean. The outdoor shower is very helpful to clean off the sand and we enjoyed both porches on the house as well.

So clean and nice!

This house was so clean (I'm a clean freak and was worried) but all of the bedding and towels were crisp and white, clean floors, clean bathrooms! The outside is also so convent (you can sit on the porch). The garage had a wagon full of everything you could need for the beach! (paddle boards, tubes, chairs, umbrellas, etc). The walk to the beach is under five minutes, it's right across from a beautiful beach. Would recommend this place! Can't wait to book again on our next stay!

The home was clean. It had basic kitchen equipment, new bath linens, all the things it listed. It’s a quick trip to the beach. We enjoyed the games and over all had a good time here. We did find that the water pressure was not the best and two out of the three beds were not comfortable. The motel across the street also had very bright lights at night. This wasn’t a bad place to stay and we would stay again, if the beds were better.

Comfortable

How was comfortable and roomy. Only dislike was we wished the outside shower worked to help elevate sand in the house. Other than that it was fine.

Great location!

The house was very nice, but wasn’t very clean. No front access or handicap assessable. Queen beds weren’t very comfortable. Back deck to pond was nice, but didn’t allow complete access to it without walking through the weeds. Just a walk to the beach was nice and in the heart of everything. Over all had a great time.
