Welcome to your unique o'zark retreat. This renovated & tastefully decorated home has everything you need for a comfortable vacation with family and friends. Your host, Shawna, goes above & beyond to provide an incredible 5 star experience every time. Enjoy our spacious private backyard new BAR with a firepit area & private hot tub to relax in Seasonal. We have added a full outdoor covered living area with 120 inch movie screen Floor to ceiling covered with fairy lights ivy and wisteria . Gypsy hanging lights off barn looking rafters, chandelier, L shaped sectional couch with gorgeous gas fire table with gold and rose gold shimmering stones for the ambience. Also another lower level covered outdoors so feel free to move a seat and prepare for an evening light show . Inside you will find things like a full 2 stand up arcade games and amazing little artifacts , crystals and unique pieces from many places all throughout the home. This wonderful home is over one hundred years old and restored original floors in most of the home . You can see the original construction of this exquisite home just by walking through and paying attention to the really nice doorways and entryways some doorknobs along with just little things that we dont see anymore. But this original charm and with the modern touches make her just beyond amazing and make you feel like you belong . The house makes you feel wanted as you enjoy her on vacation , work or just any reason you stay . Great flow of positivity and energy are shared . Minutes away from gorgeous swimming and cliffs to climb and jump into the water to cool off . Picnics , floating and family fun everywhere. We have many hidden local spots that are not over populated. Little paradise places in our quaint little town. A hop skip and a jump away from great food and some local shops . Walk to our downtown with the family and your precious four legged family fur babies. Outdoor indoor NEW BAR for outdoor Fall winter fun 💕

We absolutely loved our stay! The charm of this 100-year-old home was wonderful, and the interior has been beautifully updated and decorated to perfection. The owner communicated with us throughout our stay, which we truly appreciated. The home and grounds were spotless, and she gave us excellent suggestions for places to visit and dine—every recommendation was spot on. The property is also very family-friendly, with toys and play structures in the yard. I only wish our grandchildren had been with us to enjoy it all! We will definitely stay here again.

Lovely home -enjoyable stay

It was the perfect place to enjoy some family time while in the area for a wedding weekend. The outdoor space was very nice to have a relaxing morning coffee.

Shawna is super helpful and friendly. The house beyond exceeded our expectations. Very clean, lots of extras, as well as fun little things for my teens to explore. We will be back for sure!

This was our second stay at this house and works perfectly. Loved the time there and may be back for a 3rd. The kitchen or pretty much all rooms are large enough for our group to be comfortable and close. But enough spots to run off to have some alone time. Loved it there!!!

There were several issues with the house. We were informed of some of the issues in advance, and were told they would not affect our stay. Those issues, along with the issues we were not informed of in advance, did in fact affect our stay greatly. The listing needs to be updated with the current layout (the basement area is not usable for multiple reasons).

There is no merit for this accusation for many accusations made! I was in disbelief of the amount of dog hair that covered my entire home . I truly mean that it was covered so badly that you couldn’t tell I had a zebra rug . I’m a huge animal lover but this was absolutely unacceptable. I also was never made aware of any issues that the guests had and I was In touch the entire time asked if they needed any recommendations for anything. You can see in no other review is any of this mentioned. I don’t understand why any of this was said but I have to believe it’s because they knew how bad they left it 😉

Great place to meet

We enjoyed our time. We met my sister and husband from Nashville there (it was equal distant from our homes). It was a good place to sit and talk, and enjoy each other. The beds are comfortable, and we found it was well equipped and stocked, although we did little cooking. The laundry was in the basement, which was a bit of a challenge for our age (Late 70's). I and "Alexa" did not get along well, but we managed to get around that issue (may be our age, again). All in all, it was a good place to stay, and we would stay again.

A True Home Away From Home

We’ve stayed at this wonderful home several times while visiting our teenage daughter who is staying at a treatment facility in Missouri, and every time it feels like a comforting hug. The layout is so unique and charming—it really gives off those “cabin in the woods” vibes while still being spacious and full of all the modern comforts you’d want. It’s immaculately clean, and the cozy eat-in kitchen is one of our favorite spots to gather for meals and conversation.There are plenty of bathrooms (a huge bonus when everyone’s getting ready at the same time!), and the beds are incredibly comfortable. It truly has a warm, homey feel that has meant so much to us during these emotional visits. Everything you need is there—from thoughtful amenities to the peaceful setting—and we’re so grateful to have found a place that makes our family time feel even more special.Highly recommend to anyone looking for comfort, coziness, and a place that feels like home the moment you walk in.

What an amazing family . I love having my repeat guests that treat my home like their own home . I hope they will continue to come back and have this as their vacation home yearly . Beautiful house - with some caveats.

The house is very clean. Host has taken very good care of rooms and is mindful of functionality for guests. We loved the comfy living room couch. King bed is comfortable - didn’t test other beds, but they look similar. Water pressure is very good. Bathrooms are clean and functional. Gate at top of stairs is nice touch. Everything inside is as Host describes - with a few exceptions.. Photos lead to believe there is supply of K-Cups for Keurig machine, but is empty. May want to ask ahead to be sure - lesson learned. “Full stand up arcade” is actually mini-arcade cabinet. No deal breaker, just a detail not in photos. Living room ceiling fan light works, but fan does not - Host stated they’re working on this. May only be an issue in hot weather, so not a big deal. It is a very nice place. However, yard area is a disappointment. While the lawn is very well-kept, one side of area has become over-grown to the point the fence is completely engulfed in foliage, over-hanging branches or shrubs. Covered theater has wiring of hanging lights that are cut, bare ends of wires dangle down halfway to floor. One string of lights is cut down, and lying atop furniture. There’s no 120 inch movie screen - but I did not ask, so maybe I just missed it. This was apparently not in-season for hot-tub, as is not present - you might ask, if this is an item you expect to use. Back yard has been neglected for some time, compared to beautiful photos posted.

Doug his wife and two dogs were wonderful guest's for the 24 hours they where here . I communicated with them well as they had a few questions. I actually have Ivy and wild roses on one side of the outside areas on the fence to an area that isn’t a part of the yard that anyone would use . But it’s actually pretty . Also my side fences also have grape vines also on them seen in the photos . We have had a ton of rain more than normal years here in this part of Missouri. We also have a fully shaded back yard and with that comes leaves and we have walnut trees . As was said the lawn was great but I can’t help the wind leaves that blow to the decks . I do try as my staff blows everything and cleans up each week on the yards . I’m sorry that you may have had leaves . I do give everyone my number and if there are any issues I also welcome everyone to call as I did to Doug and his guest. The hot tub is a portable hot tub as shown in my photos. It is seasonal. We have a covered deck area that we change for the summer is full of beautiful furniture a table to eat outside chandelier and other amenities for summer. We also have 120 inch screen with a Wi-Fi outdoor player that in my instructions for the house it says if you would like to use this, please let me know. I do not like to keep the screen hung up at all times due to wind and rain. If my guest needs something, I will be there I Give everybody my personal cell phone or they can go to VRBO app and contact me.

Amazing, sweet neighbors , so feel free to say hello to everybody, and they will say it back . Up and coming little piece of country with a growing economy and restoration of the oldest homes and the new homes .
Love the little town neighborhood activities and the convenience of flout places less than a mile away . Also swimming areas and hiking. Pickle ball court and park you can walk to also .
You can walk to stores and restaurants but walk the other direction and see the gorgeous trees and little farmettes .

We have thought of every detail that you could need for a perfect vacation. All of the added features & ammenties make this property truly one of a kind.
I added an indoor / outdoor NEW BAR so fall and winter you can still be outside and have an amazing time . Also music that you can play your favorites on because I have a subscription and device . Please ask for the outside music as I can keep it outdoors.
Besides a wood fire pit I also have a gorgeous modern gas fire pit .
A selfie wall to have your memories forever 💕.
I’m a hands on host if needed . I can help plan your events and tell you the best places to eat and shop . With notice I also can help with a specific/ special occasion set up . I used to do many events and love it . Don’t hesitate to ask 😉.
I love having my repeat guests as that’s what I strive for each stay . But if your a first or last time I do everything you need always .
This home is over one hundred years old so if you love the architecture, work of older homes that have been remodeled, but still carry the charm of what it was when it was built then you will love this home even more . Modern with the amazing charm that once was is just such a unique character to still have. Great vibes here 🥰😉
