About this property

Gîte on the border of Ardèche and Cévennes for 4- 8 people

Rest and relaxation in an old, renovated stone house from the 16th Century. This part of the estate, formerly used to supply the castle of Aujac, consists of 3 rooms, 2 bedrooms, a living room with kitchenette and 2 complete bathrooms. The rooms are connected by stairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas hob, oven, large fridge and dishwasher. You can reach the rooms via a separate entrance. The terrace is equipped with a parasol and rattan garden furniture. The pool is located slightly below the house in the garden.
The sights of the Ardèche are worth a visit, the Cévennes invite to hikes. In the valley flows the Cèze, which offers cooling with crystal clear water. In the village there is a good restaurant and a Dépot de Pain in about 400m distance.
For occupancy of more than 6 people is a separate cottage with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom.

Dreamy area and building, bad communication

The house is really interesting and the surrounding area and garden are really amazing. Communication was really poor. We never received any information about check-in, and we had to call various people to make sure we could actually get in. We also never got any info about checking out. We were confused about the description - it sounded like we would get 3 bedrooms, but only had 2. If you could call them bedrooms... They were not really private. One was in the entrance room and you couldn't get in or out without disturbing the people who slept there, and the other one on the 1st floor shared the roof with the kitchen so you could hear everything. It was not made with respect for the lovely building but made from wood that made it look like a cheap summer vacation house. The pool area was amazing! The garden like a fairytale. But we were unsure if it was private or if we shared it with other rentees. We in general didn't receive any information but had to figure everything out ourself. Still, we had a great stay there, and were, in general, happy with the listing.

Pour les amoureux de la nature

Très belle maison bourgeoise (apparement de plusieurs centaines d'années) entièrement rénonvées à neuf, c'est très joli. Un petit havre de paix, pierres et plantes au beau milieu des montagnes! Notre hote a toujours été disponible pour nous!La région est pour les amoureux de la nature: Aujac est situé dans le site Natura 2000 "Hautes vallées de la Cèze et du Luech". Montagnes, forêts, oiseaux, et charmants petits villages.

Wunderschönes Haus in den Cevennen

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in Aujac! Das Haus von Sylvia und Hartmut ist traumhaft schön und mit einem gemütlichen Innenhof und einem erfrischenden Pool ausgestattet. Es liegt mitten in der Natur! Im angrenzenden 5-Häuser-Ort Aujac gibt es ein sehr gemütliches kleines Restaurant mit einem leckeren 3-Gang Menu. Zum Einkaufen muss man rund 20 min mit dem Auto durch die Serpentinen der Cevennen fahren. Der kleine Fluss Cèze lädt zum klettern und baden ein, er ist in ca. 5min mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Hartmut ist ein ganz netter und aufmerksamer Gastgeber, der alle Wünsche sofort erfüllt. Für Kinder ist das Haus gut geeignet, wir hatten ein Kleinkind und ein Baby dabei. Noch einmal vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit, wir kommen sicherlich wieder!!

Ein tolles Steinhaus

Ein tolles Steinhaus mit einladendem Pool, schönem Aussenbereich. Das einzige, woran es uns wirklich gefehlt hat, war eine gut ausgestattete Küche. Es gab leider nicht genügend Töpfe, um für 8 Personen anständig zu kochen.
