About this property

San Antonio home near BMT, Riverwalk, Alamo, and Sea World

Welcome to your comfortable home away from home while you visit our wonderful city. This is a quiet neighborhood with convenient access to many San Antonio destinations. It’s just 3.5 miles to Lackland Air Force Base. Sea World, Riverwalk, The Alamo, Fiesta and more are all easy to get to from here. There’s also a Walmart in the neighborhood so you can easily grab any items you may have forgotten at home. The house has smart tvs in all bedrooms along with the living room and loft. There is a community pool close by open June-October, Tuesday-Sunday 5 am till 9 pm. The pool is not owned or controlled by the host and is subject to closures for maintenance. No refunds for pool closures but guests are more than welcome to make use when it’s open.

Roomy house

Very nice house with spacious rooms, perfect for our group going to BMT graduation. Close to the River Walk and Sea World. Very close to Lackland AFB. Host, Justin, came to reset the TVs we couldn’t figure out. Very responsive and nice to talk to. Receptive to a few suggestions. We would definitely stay again.

BMT Graduation

This property was perfect for our trip!!!! We had 10 people from 3 states. The rooms were clean and neat, the kitchen had all the items you need to cook meals. The property owner was very attentive with very small issue(tv remote). Rooms are spacious, closets are huge, kitchen is large, we all had plenty of room. I highly recommend this property!

Nice sized house with plenty of rooms and beds. Easy check-in process and close to the military base. The house is in need of care, specifically the bathrooms. The upstairs shower had water back-up and the toilet made a piercing noise while filling up. Otherwise a pleasant home.

Great central location

We stayed for 4 days and it was very accessible to all attractions in San Antonio. The only issue we had was there were no bath mats or some kind of nonslip mat in the tubs, which were extremely slick when showering. We had one adult fall and get hurt as well as a child that fell and busted their chin open. We were also told there was a community pool and found out it was not in working condition after we arrived. Otherwise a great place to stay!!!!

Huge house

The house was huge! Big enough to sleep 13 different people. From my 2 and 3 year old. All the way up to my parents and siblings with their spouses. Only tiny complaint was this was our first house not equipt with a variety of pots and pans to cook food at the house. Owner was very responsive to my questions. Overall wonderful place to stay

Great SeaWorld trip

The house was a great size for our group- two families, friends, and a boatload of kids. There were not a lot of serving pieces and the pots/pans weren’t huge for the group- so you might have to plan accordingly. We used paper plates and plastic silverware as much as we could. Location to Seaworld was perfect. Left the house and 20 minutes later we were walking into the park. Walmart is super close, HEB isn’t too far away either. It was fantastic to have a washer and dryer. The neighborhood was nice enough for walking around. Would stay again.

Very close to Lackland, helps with a short ride to the early AM Graduation Ceremonies.

The Base, grocery shopping, restaurants are close by and settled within a nice and quiet neighborhood. The home is roomy enough for family members to have their own space when needed and family room and kitchen big enough for 14 adults to gather and socialize. We had a great time. Only request is for mirrors in each room upstairs as there is only one bathroom upstairs with 4 bedrooms and the carpet could use a good cleaning to remove spill marks. It is not dirty, just a lot of carpet spill marks. Again, we had a great time at the house. Thanks Justin.

Communication with owner was great. He responded very quickly and was transparent regarding an issue with the bathroom in the master bedroom. The listing was accurate and the house was as described. The house is very convenient to local restaurants and Walmart is a three minute drive from the house. I loved that it was convenient to Lackland AFB.This house is great for large groups. Everyone was comfortable. My only complaint was the shower liner in the upstairs bathroom. It was filthy and needs to be changed. Everything else was good. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was great for preparing quick meals.

Amazing!!!

I just got home from a long drive but I had to leave a review. The house was just as advertised. It was very. Close to everything. 10-11mins away from BMT graduation gate. I had an issue with the upstairs tub on the first night around 8pm and contacted the property owner and he offered to come and fix it. I denied it due to the little ones being in bed but he had it fixed before graduation was over that next morning. He always has a quick response time and I love that. He answered all my questions. So if you are in town and have a large family like I did this is the property for you. It was very neat and clean but also big and family ready. THANKS JUSTIN!!!

Hoped for better…

Nice place, but left with mixed feelings about our stay. We had missed the fact that it was pet friendly and that the garage wasn’t listed as one of the pieces that was included. Both our own fault and not major issues but both were still a bummer for us. Location was great and gave us all the access to the city & everywhere we wanted to go without issue. Parking probably would have been a concern if our whole group had come as expected. We had booked this Vrbo for 14 people and 6 in our party couldn’t make it. This was a good thing as we also would’ve had a hard time cooking for 14 based on the pots and pans that we could find in the kitchen. Even with 8 of us we ate in shifts. The bathrooms were okay, but definitely plan to bring ALL toiletries as only hand soap is provided. Having done other Vrbo’s in the past we kind of expected items similar to a hotel stay at least (shampoo/conditioner, hair dryer, etc) but didn’t have any. Again, not the end of the world but also not expected. One of the biggest disappointments was the neighborhood pool. (one of the main reasons we booked this location) It ended up being closed the whole time we were there but we didn’t find out until we reached out to find out about the access card or how to get in. This was a huge disappointment to our kids as we were coming from a colder climate and had been planning this for a while. Overall, the stay was okay, but we had hoped for better.

This property exceeded our expectations!! Location was great, community pool within walking distance, (if you like walking) house was spacious, and very nicely designed. The only thing that wasn’t the best, was its cleanliness. Carpet wasn’t nicely vacuumed, and table top was dirty.

Fun extended family vacation

We went to San Antonio for an extended-family vacation and we enjoyed our stay at this property. Lots of space for adults/teens/kids, parking for multiple vehicles, huge community pool with splash area for younger kids. The owner was very quick to answer all our questions before and during our stay.

Why they chose this property

My house was set up to maximize comfort at a reasonable price. It lists 8 beds and those are all real beds, no air mattresses or couches used as part of that. The living room and loft let you have 2 groups doing their own thing or letting the kids have their own area to play. Plus a spacious back yard with outdoor seating, table, and bbq.

What makes this property unique

An upgraded a/c that was added to handle large groups in the house even in the Texas summer. It might not sound like a big deal, but after hearing of other houses in the area unable to get below 78 degrees in the summer with a full house, I made sure mine won't have that problem.
