This was a perfect weekend getaway . Did lots of cooking and lazing around and not much else. Beautiful spot for it.

Everything was good, except...

Its a very nice property for the price. Very clean, easier to find than you would think, listening to the river pretty relaxing in the front yard, the hot tub was a spot on amenity. There were only two very minor things that I would do to make this VRBO better and safer. The BBQ grill needs replacement (low flame, doesn't burn hot enough to cook much and the make shift steps leading down to the sitting are behind the house are sketchy. I would definitely stay here again, because I am confident the two things that bothered us will be taken care of pretty easily. P.S. we had a blast with the Guinness Book of World Records and Ripley's Believe it or Not - that was an unexpected bonus that provided a few good laughs.

Don't be fooled!

  • 1 of 5

I've stayed in many rentals in the Mt Hood area and have always had wonderful experiences. But upon reserving this property (unfortunately for a last minute trip so I was unable to cancel my reservation) I received an email from Vacasa with a long list of Do's and Don'ts including how to park at this location! Also the pictures are very deceiving and there is another home within 10 feet of the driveway. The kitchen supplies are minimal at best and include melted plastic spatulas/pancake flipper, and very chipped plates and bowls. The oven is electric and when l started to use it the main large front jet wasn't plugged in, then we discovered was broken! The ceiling fan in the living room didn't turn on, there were no spa towels in the "spa towel closet", and there's a discarded hot tub on the side of the house. Seriously, do not be fooled by the pictures. Details really make a house a home and a stay more convenient for guests (pot holders anyone??); this home is only a rental to make a quick buck. I didn't even mention the treacherous back steps, and the garbage left out front from the last renters...

Owner's Response: We are disappointed to read this review. The neighbor is 30 feet away and very much keeps to herself. We double-checked the kitchen supplies and found everything in good condition except for a couple of plates. We have ordered more pot holders to enrich the number there. We were unable to find anything wrong with the stove, but we will keep an eye on it. We have several fans for guest use as well as a new ceiling fan on order. The hot tub had just been replaced with a new one, and the old one that was at the side of the house is now gone. We will remind housekeeping to fully stock the hot tub closet with hot tub towels and to schedule additional trash pick-up when needed. Thank you!

Nothing worked. Not dog-friendly.

  • 1 of 5

The pictures of this home need to be updated badly. The beautiful, clean home on the first picture is not what you pull up to. There is random junk outside everywhere, pieces of glass in the gravel, piles of tile, rusty oil tanks, the chairs around the fireplace out front are mis-matched, one is an office chair?! Advertised as dog-friendly however dogs are not allowed on any furniture, not only was my dog stuck inside all week due to the neighbors letting their dog off leash (and chickens) to run throughout the front and back yard, but she wasn't even allowed to cuddle on the couch with me. The mattresses are hard as rocks. Washer/dryer are non-functional (a week of washing towels in the sink and hanging out to dry) fun. Washer had smelly, stagnant water sitting inside undrained. Only 1 functional fan. Wireless was unsecured and very spotty. Jets in the hot tub were non functional. We contacted the website with concerns on day one and have yet to hear back. Very disappointing trip, it is clear that the owner of this property has no pride in their rental. I would not rent or recommend this property to anyone. I suggest doubling the stock of towels if you are not providing guests access to a washer and dryer. I should have pulled right out on day one and requested a refund.
