Enjoy an economical, modest but clean lakefront cabin perfectly positioned for Mille Lacs ice fishing and winter adventure. Bring your fish house, snowmobile, or gear—or ask about local rentals. We welcome 1-2 well-behaved dogs with no pet fee. Locally owned but professionally managed and cleaned, to assure a worry-free stay.

Our one-level, well-maintained cabin sits on the Mille Lacs channel—just minutes from:
• Ice road access & multiple plowed lake entries
• Snowmobile & ATV trail systems
• Kathio State Park winter hiking & snowshoeing

The Cabin

A simple, comfortable space with everything you need after a cold day on the ice:

Great place for a family getaway!!

This was a great place for us to stay with our famiy. The home is so warm and well-appointed - really could not think of anything more that they could have provided. And the management company, Sanctuary, didn't leave anything to chance - great communication and care that we had a wonderful stay.

Great Location and Access to Mille Lacs

Having the house on the little canal was a great way to gain entry to the bigger lake or paddle around when the lake seemed too big and choppy. The house was clean, well-appointed, quiet and the beds were great. We really enjoyed our visit and would go again!

Mini vacation at Mille Lacs

Mike was our contact person, and he was always available if needed. We even got to check in early, which hardly ever happens! The place was immaculate, and we will definitely be back.

Great Property

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It was great to have a fenced area for the dogs, and the home was very clean! The one thing I would say is that the pictures don't show how large the home is. This would be a great place for a family or a few friends to get together.

Property was well-equipped and very clean, with plenty of room. Great for families. We had a private dock for our boat, and the launch was located conveniently across the channel. Loved the hot tub. We also appreciated that the property is dog-friendly, with a fenced in back yard for our two dogs.

Family vacation

Came up for a long weekend with our kids. House was clean, beds were comfy. Property manager was quick to respond to any questions I had. The kids enjoyed the canoe and paddleboard in the canal, and the fenced yard gave the dog some room to run safely.

This is a great property and location for you and your family! Close to lots of water activities and a few minutes away from Garrison, where there's fun stuff to do. Property is exactly as described, very clean and comfortable. Lots of things to do on property, if you want to hang close to home and relax! Highly recommend.

Great family stay

Our family spent MEA weekend here and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We were able to enjoy fishing from the dock, the canoe, the hot tub and all the amenities the home provided. The kitchen was stocked, there were games/toys and it was very clean for the most part. The only concerns we had were all the leaves that accumulated on the porch and around the doors to the house and the hot tub not seeming very clean. Overall, we would definitely choose to stay again because it felt very homelike and comfortable!

Girls week

Came up for a relaxing weekend and it was amazing. Perfect fenced yard so we could keep an eye on the dogs while we enjoyed the hottub, the dogs enjoyed watching all the birds over the lake and canal. Can see the lake from the backyard but was sheltered from the wind gusts we had that week. Great table for games and lovely kitchen for meal prep. Everything was super nice and clean, we had an awesome time!

A Taste of Heaven

My stay at this home was quiet, picturesque and beautiful. It was very clean, cozy and comfortable. Big kitchen that overlooks a family room with comfy couch and TV. The waterway and view of Mille Lacs was peaceful and beautiful. The fenced in yard for the dogs was an added bonus that you don't see often in VRBO rentals. My dogs and I enjoyed many hikes and trail runs in the area so this was the perfect place to crash at night. My communication with the property owner was extremely responsive too. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic Family Lake Cabin

The property sits right on a channel to the lake. It’s a well kept lake home with amenities as advertised. Had everything we needed for grilling, dishing, family game nights, movies for the rainy days and lots of space for everyone. Kids loved it, fenced in backyard was a great add. Kept the kids and dog out of the lake when they shouldn’t have been in it! Evenings ended with quiet campfires and s’mores. Would recommend for a family vacation - enough for everyone to enjoy and plenty of time to fish!

Great place to stay with easy lake access.

The property is very well kept, the beds are very comfortable, linens clean and plentiful. Kitchen nicely stocked with dishes/pots/pans/utensils. Hot tub well maintained. Owner response very quick when needed. On the down side, the back door light is on 24/7 and when you let dogs out at night you get a you a mouthful and houseful of bugs. My only other complaint is the amount of extra fees. The nightly fee is reasonable but the additional charges/service fee added an extra $125+/night, which is crazy but I did know this at booking. Overall, definitely would stay again.

Fishing Getaway Vacation

We stayed at this property for a fishing getaway vacation and it was the perfect place for us. We love staying on this canal as it is very easy for us to get our boat into the lake and a safe place to keep it without having to take it back out each day. The home is exactly what the pictures show and everything available made our stay very easy. The best part was the availability of the hottub and ping pong table, it added a little more fun to the home than we normally would have. Perfect place for our vacation!

This was one the most beautiful house with great amenities.

I’d go back to this house with a heartbeat. The location of this place is amazing. It’s brilliant for a perfect gateway with friends and family. Mike was an wonderful host and checked in on a timely basis to make sure everything was smooth.
