LeHommeDieu Cove Family Getaway @ Island Drive Inn

New construction home on ythe chain of lakes in Alexandria - Welcome to Island Drive Inn!

This 4 bedroom (+ bunk room) and 3 bath house is ready for your family to have an amazing getaway. We have sleeping for 14 in 4 large beds and 6 bunk beds, plus a pack-in-play crib.

It's located on a large lot on the inlet of Lake Le Homme Dieu with access to everything the chain has to offer.

Everything is new! The open main level gives the whole family a chance to be together. Chill by the TV/Fireplace or enjoy a meal together. The well-equipped kitchen and dining area seats 14. Plus there is a gas grill for you to use.

A covered screened in deck with lots of seating gives you options for enjoying the view. The large rec room in the basement offers a wet bar and game table with lots of games provided. Watch TV by the fire or choose a book from our library.

You can walk out to the spacious yard to enjoy the patio, fire pit, sandbox, kayaks and lawn games. A dock is available for you to tie up your boat (or rent our pontoon). Parking for 4-5 cars or boat trailers. Please note: video monitoring is used on the outside of property only.

All the bedrooms have lots of closet space with hangers and a suitcase valet. The bathrooms are large with lots of towels provided. (just bring your own beach towels).

Pets are not allowed for short term rentals. A $500 fee will be charged if pets are brought to property.

Pontoon is available to rent with daily or weekly rates directly from owner. Seats up to 12 people, not suitable for tubing or skiing. 2026 rates (2 boats available ) = $1600/4-7 days, $1000/3 days, $500/1 day
(Must refill tank or $50 charge).

Property was very good. Missed having a lake view. Channel getting out to the lake is very shallow. Had to drag bottom with my pontoon is order to get out to the lake. Floor in kitchen was not very clean when we arrived.

The only concern we had was, the showers on the main floor were slippery. The mat in the shower made it worse! Perhaps different mats would help or grab bar.One chair in dining room area was back unstable.

This house has become part of our family's annual vacation tradition. It perfectly suits our three-generation family of 10 (this year included kids ages 2, 4, 6, and 8). We eat most meals in house, and this well-stocked, spacious kitchen makes the work easy. Each year we listen for birds in the screen-in porch, tracking them on our Merlin app. The dock is perfect for young anglers, who pulled fish in faster than we could take them off the hook. Finally, we love kayaking, spotting turtles and herons. The owners keep both the inside and outside looking great, and they communicate well. This great place has brought us precious family memories.

Beautiful place to stay with our family! The pontoon was a big hit! We had great weather and were able to enjoy the lakes, the beach near by, fishing and swimming every day.
