Tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood, just 3 minutes from downtown Oakhurst, this charming home gives you the best of both worlds—quiet serenity with easy access to town with several restaurants, gas stations, grocery stores, post office and a variety of shops. Think sophisticated furniture, a touch of high tech and just the right amount of rustic charm. With central heating, cooling, and a pellet wood stove with a fan, you’ll be cozy no matter what Mother Nature’s doing outside.

Each bedroom is a personal sanctuary, featuring comfortable beds, premium sheets, fluffy pillows, and a Google enabled table clock that’s more than just a timekeeper—it plays white noise, music, or gives you the latest news or weather. Just say "Hey Google" and ask for what you want. Each bedroom has an extra seating space to relax with a drink and read the paper or catch up on your phone.

The master bedroom is your own retreat: a plush king bed, a 50” TV for binge-watching, and an electric fireplace for maximum coziness. Plus, the ensuite bathroom has dual sinks, a tiled shower (with seating for ultimate luxury), and a soaking tub for when you want to pretend, you’re at a fancy spa.

The kitchen is fully stocked and ready for your culinary adventures or last-minute takeout. Custom cabinetry, quartz countertops, and a perfect view of the outdoor waterfall while you cook. It comes equipped with a gas stove, fridge/freezer, microwave-toaster oven-air fryer combo (yes, it does everything), and a coffee maker that serves both K-cups and ground coffee from a local shop.
Enjoy ultra-pure drinking water from a dedicated reverse osmosis spigot at the kitchen sink, backed by a whole-house water filtration system. Refresh with every sip. There are also 2, high-quality air purifiers in the home. One in the living room and one in the master bedroom---perfect for health-conscious travelers!

The living room is perfect for group naps or movie marathons, with a huge leather sectional that has power zero gravity recline, power lumbar, power headrests, and USB ports for all your devices. Enjoy a variety of streaming apps on the 65” TV, play board games, or just read a book in peace. Gig-speed Wi-Fi means you can stay connected or take a break from it all.

The front porch has a three-person swing for morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail, a prime deer-watching spot. Be sure to keep a safe distance and do not disturb the wildlife.

Prefer more privacy and serenity? Head to the backyard, where there’s a private covered patio, with comfortable outdoor furniture, a gas fire pit table and a pellet BBQ, right in front of the built in waterfall. Perfect for relaxing with a drink while bird watching and wildlife viewing. There is a large hot tub perfect for melting away your stress and tensions. At night, turn off all the lights and enjoy stargazing.

If you have an EV, we offer access to a ChargePoint EV charger by the garage! It’s a Level 2, 48-amp charger with a 23’ cord. If you have a Tesla, or any other EV that does not have the J1772 port, you will need a J1772 adaptor to charge your car. Just ask for the code during check-in to unlock the EV charger lock box.

EV fee policy:
We offer free EV charging on the first day of the booking.
After the first day, you will be charged for the power used by the EV charger. Generally, around $25-$30 per charge to fully charge a Tesla. At the end of your stay, I will send a request for payment along with a screen shot for each day the EV charger is used, showing the daily cost for EV charging

The host was very welcoming and communicative. We booked last minute, and Dan was great. The house is beautiful, with a well stocked kitchen, and nice location, which was close to Oakhurst but felt secluded enough to feel like a getaway. The list of things to do at check out was also very reasonable. Additional pluses: multiple large air filters, hooks for towels (a small but important thing that many rentals don’t have), and the hot tub was perfect.

The home was absolutely gorgeous! 15 minutes from Yosemite entrance, had all the extras which made you feel like you were home! Great Yosemite location

Property is very nice and well equipped. We had everything we needed. Location is great, about 35-40 min to Yosemite gate. Oakhurst has a couple of grocery stores that are well stocked. We ate in most of the time, but there are several restaurants and fast food options.Only issue is cooling sysytem for house couldn't quite compete with 106 temps, but that is probably expected. We really enjoyed staying at this properly.

Beautiful Home with welcoming hosts

Our family stayed almost two weeks at this home. It is a beautiful setting and the outdoor areas are wonderful. Each day we saw deer in the front and back yard.The kitchen is the most well stocked out of any home we have stayed at. Perfect for those that like to make some meals at home. The location is great with many grocery stores and restaurants just down the road. Oakhurst is central to visiting many charming small mountain towns plus Yosemite is about an hour away. Bass Lake and the casino are also very close. The host Dan had great communication and was available when we had a question. The entire house was exceptionally clean and well maintained. I highly recommend staying here.

Perfect central location and comfortable

Great location and home for us to explore Bass lake and Yosemite. Kitchen is well stocked, especially the coffee pods and tea selection. Plenty of utensils, pots and pans to cook comfortably. The only thing to keep an open mind is the swamp cooler during peak heat hours between 1pm and 5pm where the interior could get in the lower 80s. But the cooler is very effective through the night and early morning hours as it will keep you cold. We loved the hot tub and the waterfall, both features we thoroughly enjoyed. Fanrastic spot!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in the small town right outside of Bass Lake & Yosemite. We have rented vacation homes before but never one so well equipped with everything that could possibly be needed being away from home. Beautiful house with a waterfall in the backyard that we enjoyed while looking out at the local wildlife including deer & wild turkeys. There is a great hot tub that we enjoyed as well. The house is fantastic & very clean. The master bed was extremely comfortable & while I normally don't sleep well away from home, I did here. We had an opportunity to go to Bass Lake for some fishing with our young boys & a day trip to gorgeous Yosemite as well! We hope to return in the near future!

Exceptional home!

We had a lovely stay at Pleasant Pines. Pictures were accurate and the kitchen was well stocked. Unlike many vacation rentals this home has high quality, comfortable furnishings. The small, fenced portion of the yard was perfect for our two small dogs and the balance was great to explore. The patio was peaceful, and we had the waterfall running for most of our stay. The neighborhood was quiet, and the home is only 1 mile from two large grocery stores and multiple dining options. This home is just a small drive away from the South entrance of Yosemite, Bass Lake, and a casino. Lots of options for activities. As a side note, I was traveling with my senior parents and this home was perfect for those with limited mobility as there are no stairs and both bathrooms offer walk in showers. I look forward to staying with Dan and Vera again.

This is a pleasant, secluded house and we would rent again. Location is a couple minutes from town center; circular driveway is great. Checkin was as easy as it gets. We liked the spacious, well-supplied kitchen at the opposite end of the house from the bedrooms so you can converse or work early/late without bothering the sleepers. Spacious, clean bathrooms. Beds were a little soft for my liking and pillows were a little firm but that’s a matter of personal taste. The house is filled with interesting gadgets (electronic couch, smart clocks, 4K TV, wireless waterfall control, Nest thermostat, hot tub connected to wifi, alarm systems). The various outdoor video cameras reduced the sense of mountain seclusion somewhat, but I understand hosts wanting to keep an eye out. Wifi didn’t always work but there was enough Verizon LTE coverage for backup. We rented during cold stormy weather and didn’t use the outdoor fireplace area but will do so if we come back in another season.

Great house with cooling issue

The house was beautiful and the pictures were accurate. Kitchen was well stocked. Wifi worked well. Nice to have the waterfall. Rooms were clean and plenty of towels were provided. The hot tub only has 1 working jet that is powerful - the others are very weak. We did experience a problem with the cooling system. The owner had work done on a generator at the house just before our arrival and when we checked in the evaporative cooler was not working. It was 85 degrees in the house. Called the management company but they could not get anyone out to look at the cooling unit for 2 days. So we suffered in 85 degree heat in the house for 2 days. In my opinion the rental company should have a maintenance person on standby even on holidays - for goodness sake we pay enough in fees to have service. In the end they did give us 50% off the nightly rate for the 2 nights we were so hot.

Pleasant Place, Pleasant Stay!

Pleasant Pines is the name of this resort and also describes our stay here - pleasant! We enjoyed being able to prepare our own meals in a well-supplied kitchen while listening to the water feature right outside the kitchen window. Outdoor space is well-equipped with outdoor furniture, pellet BBQ (Hubby used on-line app to find how to operate), small fenced area in back yard where our fur-baby could do her business and there is a hot-tub which we didn't use. Home is near town - we shopped both Raley's and Vons. Vons is a larger store with more selections. Yosemite is an easy drive, the wait to get into the park was longer than the drive - be sure you have park reservations. Owner responds quickly to communications.

My wife and I live in San Jose, CA. I bought this house as retirement home, but I will not be retiring for at least three years. I was born in San Jose but one of my favorite places to visit has always been the Sierra Nevada Mountains. My wife is from Brazil and has been in the US for about 10 years now.

Why they chose this property

I wanted a home that was out of the San Joaquin valley but below the snow line.
We still get a small amount of snow each year but just enough to make it pretty.
I also wanted a home that was in a smaller town and somewhat rural feeling.

What makes this property unique

If you like to view wildlife, you will love it here. There are a lot of deer and wild turkeys. You will often see fox, raccoons, and occasionally a coyote, mountain lion or bear. There are also a lot of birds.
