Adorable and comfortable home, reminiscent of a Country Living feature! Friendly and efficient host. Convenient to all downtown Franklin restaurants and shops. It was perfect for our sisters’ Holiday Getaway!
The house was uniquely decorated! Close to downtown and plenty of sleeping spaces. The backyard could use a little cleaning up as well as the porch furniture overall great place to stay.
This cottage was darling. It was exactly as advertised, perfect for three friends traveling together. We each had our own private space and a lovely comfortable living room to spend our evenings in.
This is the second time we have stayed at this location, and have had positive experiences both times. Perfect size and location for our group, and always very clean and tidy! Would highly recommend!
We were four girlfriends/family celebrating milestone birthdays. We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the antiques and homey decor. Enjoyed exploring the town of Franklin and history of the area. Location was good, but had to drive to downtown. Would recommend.

Thank you so much for choosing our home to celebrate your milestone birthdays; we’re honored to have been part of such a special getaway! We’re so glad you enjoyed the antiques, cozy decor, and the charm of Franklin. Just to clarify for future guests, our listing notes that we’re located less than 1.5 miles from Historic Main Street. While not advertised as walking distance, it’s a quick and easy drive to all the downtown shops and restaurants. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to host you again!
If you love antiques and a well appointed home consider this haven in Franklin. Its quite close to downtown and other local sites. Thoroughly enjoyed out stay.
The house was clean and cozy. A great location, near downtown Franklin and easy to get to the highway to go to other places. I felt like my kids were safe at the house. We enjoyed our stay!
We were in town to attend the national Alpha conference held at the City of God church, we wanted a comfy, quiet place to relax for a couple of days near the conference. The cottage was everything we were hoping for, clean, quiet, and the bed was so comfortable. I will be looking to stay here again next year.
It was a very lovely home. I own a VRBO that I rent in Charleston. I really think this house needs a little more lighted areas. The lighting in the kitchen is very dim. The beds were comfortable. It's about a 5 -7 minute drive downtown. Not really walkable to the downtown area. Very quiet and peaceful street.
From the moment I walked in, I was inspired by the decor. My sisters and I loved the coziness -- comfortable and spacious. We even made the one bath work. We would stay again!

Not what was advertised
Advertised as a (2) bathroom (3) bedrooms, all the bedrooms were there, but per VRBO listing, the house is lacking half of the advertised (2) full baths, it’s 1 1/2 baths, that’s an issue when traveling with friends. Lacking a bath/shower in the second bathroom created some getting ready issues we never anticipated or expected since the unit reads 3 bedrooms/ 2 baths, not true. With that being said, the price point with the added mandatory extra insurance is unjustified or inappropriate. The property has plenty of potential, but sense there is no concern to eye appeal or appearances, both the front and back of house need some attention to detail. The entry paver walkway is uneven and gaps between pavers are an accident waiting to happen. Bamboo window blind at kitchen table doesn’t operate properly, the one full bathroom has water drain issues in tub and sink. The kitchen faucet also constantly drips. When you pay top dollar but don’t get what’s advertised, that’s an issue. Will be staying elsewhere on our next visit.

Hi Michael, I must admit that I am somewhat surprised by your 2 star review, especially when every other review we have is 5 stars. We went out of our way to accommodate your request for an early check in and sent you multiple recommendations for good bbq, homemade ice cream shops and local activities when you asked.
VRBO lists the total number of bathrooms on their listings (full and half, since both are still considered bathrooms), and then breaks it down within the listing as far as what is in each bathroom (our listing shows bathroom one has a toilet and bathroom two has a combination shower / tub and a toilet). Every listing on VRBO is shown / advertised the same way. Additionally, our written description states that there are three bedrooms and one and a half bathrooms. I can understand that the bathroom situation may have been uncomfortable for you and your guests, but I cannot help that you did not read the description or look at the listing where it was clearly shown and stated.
Your statement that we make our guests purchase mandatory extra insurance is also untrue. VRBO provides guests a choice between a low cost property damage policy that covers accidental damages or a refundable damage deposit. These are the only two options available through VRBO and the only recourse we have if a guest were to damage or take something. If you did not want to purchase the property damage policy, you could have chosen the refundable deposit option. The choice was yours.
While the cottage does appear as pictured (photos were taken less than a year ago), we have addressed the tub and sink which were draining a little slower than they should be and have ordered a replacement blind. Thank you for bring those things to my attention. Had you notified us of these things during your stay, we would have immediately addressed them for you.
