Overview

About the property

Cabin, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 4.5+ Baths, (Sleeps 12)

Skipping Stone is nestled on 3 acres, directly on the Little Pigeon River, Gatlinburg's preeminent trout stream, with hundreds of feet of river frontage.

Aside from its 'right smack there on the river' location, this luxurious lodge is the absolute, bar none, best of accommodations with over 4,200 square feet, 10' ceilings, massive bedrooms (4 identical master suites with king-size beds) and spacious decks overlooking the river.

Luxuries and amenities of Skipping Stone include HDTV, extensive DVD collection, Playstation 2 and XBox 360 on request, excellent kitchenware and dinnerware, stainless steel appliances, Direct TV with tons of premium movie channels, handmade furniture, fine fabrics, leathers and linens. Each bedroom features its own HDTV and spacious, well-appointed bath with Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Hardwood floors and the stacked stone fireplace create a cozy mountain atmosphere. The game room is fully equipped to occupy any guest of any age.

Designer-furnished with the very best, this cabin will spoil you either indoors or out.

Aside from the house, the river is the real highlight here. Simply put, the setting is stunning with unobstructed upstream and downstream views except for the river house across and a few hundred feet upstream. Looking back from the river, only one house is visible for as far as the eye can see. Directly in front of the two floors of decks is a fabulous swimming hole and rapids. Inner tubes are furnished as well as fishing equipment (you will need a license and we can furnish all necessary information). The gorgeous view, sounds of the rushing river and gentle breezes make dinner on the deck an unforgettable experience. Likewise, lounging in the hot tub just twenty feet from the river is a special treat.

This million-dollar-plus lodge was completed in 2006 with no detail overlooked.

Treat yourself to something truly special, the very best of settings and accommodations...

a home you will definitely want to return to again and again.

Wonderful, relaxing trip! Such a beautiful lot!!

  • 5 of 5

My family loved staying in this beautiful, spacious house. The river running by was so relaxing and the long porch on the first and second floor were perfect to enjoy the view. The strip at Gatlinburg was about a twenty minute drive, but after being here you will likely find yourself wanting to cook and stay in! Thanks for a much needed break and a great family weekend!

Beautiful place and something for everyone.

  • 5 of 5

The home is beautiful with four large master suites and a kids play area upstairs. For those with disabilities, there was a ramp leading into the home and two bedrooms located on that level. The deck was also on that same level so you can easily get outside to the wonderful fireplace and swimspa without navigating stairs. It was also located right on the river which was just beautiful. You could enjoy hearing the river rushing past the rapids upstream. In front of the house was a calm area on the river and we enjoyed two geese who kept coming back. The kids enjoyed fishing and our gamer enjoyed all the games upstairs. There is something for everyone at this cabin.

A haven on the river

  • 5 of 5

Gorgeous. Close to everything, Great for families, Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook with, driveway a little steep but manageable. Every bedroom is a master and has a balcony. Rented in February and booking again in warmer months to be able to get in the river. Outside fireplace and "swim spa". PERFECT!!!!
