No need to rough it out in the wilderness, as we have recently upgraded our pods with power, an outlet for electronics, and a medium-sized electric heater.

With shared washroom facilities located nearby, you can enjoy the beauty of nature without sacrificing comfort. Solar lamps light up the pathways at night, making it easy to navigate around the natural setting. Our pods feature 2 twin beds and are made of all wood construction, ensuring a warm and cozy stay.

Convenient parking is available nearby, and Salty Roses & The Periwinkle Café is located on the same property. Indulge in locally sourced coffee, baked goods, and foods while browsing through the lovely craft shop featuring local maritime artists. We are within walking distance of beaches and restaurants and just a short drive away from all the amenities Ingonish has to offer. The camping was new, clean, well furnished and just as pictured in the listing. The electric heater warmed the place up in minutes and only needed to be on for 10 minutes at a time. I was warm and cozy during my stay.

The pods themselves are delightfully simple and sparse. Cozy and warm. Quirky and fun. For what it’s worth, as many wouldn’t care, the overall planing and layout of the pods to one another, parking, and the common house is poor. It’s a lost opportunity with site design to create a balance of privacy and connection between pods, a sense of arrival by automobile, and a meaningful relationship to the common house, which could have been designed as a central space to encourage connection between guests. As it is, it’s just a disappointing trip to the bathroom. That’s just my critical eye as an architect. Ingonish has sufficient natural beauty and personal charm to soften the cold heart of a critic like me. Enjoy your stay! This place is better than the bland motels and banal chalets.

So Relaxing

My hubby and I stayed here with our two dogs. Very well set up property, very well priced and facilities were very clean and well thought out. They even had dish cloths and dish towels to cleanup kitchen after use. I will stay here again

This was a unique spot to stay along the Cabot Trail. Expect it to be like camping, but with a nicer sleeping experience and kitchen access! There was even a barbecue on each site, which I wasn’t expecting. You are right up next to your neighbours as the pods are very close together, but I didn’t mind. I has a good conversation with my neighbours and we shared travel advice.

It was very quiet. We were told there would be a micro-wave, that the heater would take 30 minutes to warm the pod and that would be "toasty warm". The heater was a cute decoration, nothing more. There was poor oceanview. It was an experience we will NOT repeat!

Sorry that you had this issue but I really don’t understand why. No other guests from that night said there was no water. We have never ever had that complaint before so I am a bit confused. Regards

Grass needed to be cut shorter to walk between parking spot on side next to washrooms to our pod which was Sugar Maple to unpack and repack vehicle! Or better still another path made in the middle of that area so not needed to walk in wet grass.

It is an overpriced glamping experience but the faculty is not quite so glamorous except the good looking pods. Common area is unremarkable. There is no wifi signal inside the pod. The bed is not as comfortable as it looks maybe because rather small bed frame. The only lighting is a small desk lamp at the corner. However, picnic table and BBQ grill are a big plus.

Rustic but would not stay again.

Pros: Our dog was welcome. There were restaurants nearby and a great sub shop down the road. Great area to spend a night on Cabot Trail. Neg: I’m not a camper ..if I was maybe this would have left a better impression. I expected glamping and this was not. The cabin was tiny and stuffy. The communal kitchen we stayed clear of and the single bathroom had puddles from the shower that you could not avoid. The communal bathroom had no mirrors.
