Located in one of Tahoe's best forested neighborhoods, the home is within walking distance to endless miles of wilderness hiking, biking, etc. Enjoy everything mountain living has to offer, while being close to everything town has to offer. Lake Tahoe's best - skiing, beaches, hiking, fishing, boating, music, restaurants, casinos, nightlife are all a short drive away.


Great Room: Enjoy this remarkable living/dining/kitchen space. This is the main room of the house where you will spend most of your time. Double sliding glass doors open to a beautiful deck. Comfortable living and dinning furniture, as well as a fully equipped and well-stocked kitchen make this a great 'hang out' spot. A cozy fireplace for cold winter nights and an inviting deck for those long summer days round out this truly 'Great Room'.

Bedrooms: Each bedroom, a king, a queen, and a 2-twin, have been lovingly and thoughtfully furnished. Each bed is dreamily comfortable. This very quiet neighborhood ensures peaceful nights after your fun days of activity (max 2/room).

Bonus Room: Downstairs,a spacious Bonus Room provides additional living and sleeping space. With its own half bath, this becomes a separate suite for large slumber parties away from the rest!

We had a great week. This is a great and quiet location for mountain biking and other trail access, with convenient groceries and a short drive to the denser and noisier parts of South Lake Tahoe on the few days we were looking for that.

Our family of four had a great time here. Home had many windows with views of big trees with a large deck. Fast WiFi for my husband who was working remotely. Kids liked the cozy den downstairs. Plenty of hiking minutes away including Echo Lake trailhead. Nice quiet area but still close to beaches/ restaurants in South Lake Tahoe.

Perfect Winter Break Getaway

Stayed at this fantastic home with my wife and four girls (6-13) for 9 nights. Our vacation was amazing and the house was a huge reason why. The house was immaculate, had all the amenities that you would ever need and is much bigger than the pictures led us to believe. Location was perfect...very convenient to Heavenly and the South Lake Tahoe area. Most importantly, the hosts were incredible; extremely responsive, helpful and kind. Their assistance ensured the best trip! Would definitely recommend and will try and come back soon!

Very nice property

Property is clean and well kept. My only complaint is that the latches on 4 windows (two in the kitchen, one in the master bedroom and one in the second largest bedroom) do not latch. The latches are either missing or broken and should be repaired.

Comfortable cabin in Lake Tahoe! Well equipped! However sheets on queen bed were very uncomfortable. Super thin & didn’t fit tight, wadded up on bottom sheet, very uncomfortable! Bought some sheets & used them after 2 nites!! Only complaint!!!

very nice stay, very hot weather

Overall my family and I had a lovely stay in South Lake Tahoe. However, the weather was very warm and the house was uncomfortably hot for the first week of our stay. The owner/host provided fans, because the home has no A/C (like most homes in the area), but we had to bring in more fans, and even that was not enough to cool the house. fortunately, the evenings cooled down, and the second week of our trip was significantly cooler than the first. On our first night, a bear welcomed us to the neighborhood by opening my car door and rifling for treats. My car was empty so he did not return to try again!

Or drive a few minutes to the various lakes nearby - Tahoe, Echo, Fallen Leaf, Angora, and so many more. Then enjoy all the restaurants and breweries nearby as well.

Why they chose this property

Our home is spacious, comfortable, and bright. The deck is where we spend most of our time in summer. 1995 Kickapoo is a special spot! You will feel like you're in the woods, yet 5 minutes to the "Y". We are 6 miles from skiing at Sierra, and at the base of great hiking and cross-country trails.
