The apartment was on the ground level which was nice with our luggage. There was plenty of space to unpack and kitchen with all the basic needs for cooking, and making coffee and tea. The washer and dryer were a great addition and there was also a drying rack.

Elegant property, Old World charm

Elegant property in a nice area. There are many eateries nearby. Also near a tram station. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Josef's place is in a great location and is very comfortable. We had plenty of room for our family of 4 and Josef was very responsive when we had questions. He welcomed us with beer and bottled water in the fridge which was much appreciated after traveling. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Cologne. Vielen dank!

Amazing Clean Location in Südstadt

Youll find yourself immersed in the heart of Südstadt with grocery stores, cafés, bakeries, and local retailers within minutes of the apartment. Very transit friendly. The owner is easily reachable and friendly. Would stay again! Thank you!!

Fantastic located VRBO

I very much enjoyed my stay at this VRBO. The amenities were perfect the whole flat very cozy. Not 5 min away from biblical transportation and less to many shops in this neighborhood. Very safe to walk and hang out. I will book it again next time I’m in Cologne.

EURO 2024 trip

3 adults stayed for 4 nights double bed and sofa bed flat is very well equipped and is situated in a quite street the surrounding area has lots of cafes and bars and has a nice relaxed atmosphere the tram/underground is 5 min walk away would recommend as a good base to explore cologne

Amazing Apartment and Location

This was my first time to Cologne and this apartment was absolutely amazing. Located in what I would say was the most beautiful part of Cologne, it is quiet and located close to the Rhein, supermarkets, restaurants, transit. It was very easy to get to where I wanted to go from this location. The host was also incredible and was quick to answer any questions I had and fix any issues. It was absolutely perfect for my 5 week stay and I would definitely stay here again when I return.

Great neighborhood

This is an excellent VRBO. The apartment is on the ground floor. It is well stocked with everything one would need. The kitchen has a fancy coffee maker and plenty of plates and utensils. It even has a dishwasher. The bed is comfy. The apartment is outside the city center, but close to an s-bahn stop. The Cologne transit system is easy to navigate and quickly reach any spot in the city. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great location and the apartment was nice. But they did not respond to my emails about parking and check in was at 4 and no one showed up to let us in until 4:30. We asked if we could check in at 3:30 and they said it was ok. We stood outside for over an hour. Also, the trash cans were not emptied. When I texted they apologized and gave us a bottle of wine.

wenn ich gewusst hätte das diese Gästen so einen Saustall hinterlassen, hätte ich mir die Weinflasche gespart. Nie wieder ... Wohnzimmertisch kaputt, Sofa kaputt Bad versaut, In der Küche einen Saustall hinterlassen ekelhaft!!

If I could give it more than 5 stars. I would, the place is in a great location. Joseph was a great hopes close to metro buses all over. And the place is awesome, it's a diamond, and nobody knows about. Sophie, looking a place to stay while you're in Cologne, Germany. Look, this one up.

We had a great stay at Josef’s apartment in Cologne. The location is excellent—a safe neighborhood just a short walk from the tram and plenty of local cafes, restaurants, bakeries, and bars. Grocery store a few minutes walk away. We loved the high ceilings and the thoughtful touch of beers and water upon arrival. While the historic building has plenty of charm and a great TV setup (and nice large size TV), be aware that the floors are quite creaky and the heating takes some time to warm up, but it’s an old building so it’s understandable. We also struggled with the dryer not working well, but Josef was a very responsive and helpful host, especially with parking advice. Overall, a lovely and well-located base for the city and to explore the Christmas markets. Kitchen was fully equipped to cook and the provided extra pillows and blankets were also nice to have. The apartment was larger than the photos and being on the ground floor was great for the dog. Plenty of closet space. WiFi worked well but took a bit to figure out in the beginning. Once logged in, no issues. Fast enough for remote work. Recommend and would stay again if in Cologne.

der Trockner ist neu, man muss halt auch das Wasser ausleeren, sonst gehts nicht weiter ;-)

Week long city break

Stayed in cologne for a week visiting the city and surrounding area. Lovely region of Germany. The apartment is situated to the south a short tram ride (about 10 mins) from old town/Dom or about a 30 min walk along the river which is pleasant. The area around the apartment also has numerous nice bars and restaurants. The apartment is very comfortable and well sized, good kitchen facilities and a huge tv in the living room. Host (Josef) was really helpful, let us check in early and very responsive to messages. There was a brief issue on our first day with WiFi which he resolved quickly. Also called by one day with a bottle of wine for us which was really kind, excellent host. Would certainly stay again if visiting the city.

Fantastic find

Great apartment, the photos don't do it justice. There is a private garage off location for leaving the car. It was a reasonable price agreed with the owner of the apartment.We were given instructions of how to find and access the apartment before we arrived and the owner came and said hello. He lives in the apartment next door.Location was brilliant in a vibrant suburb with all shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy etc in the neighbourhood.Apartment was more spacious than expected. Only criticism we have is the noise of people walking past late at night and rubbish collection early in the morning was disruptive. The shower and bath had mould on it which didn't look pleasant. In terms of getting about there's tram and Ubahn and bus stops at the end of road. Took about 20mins to get into the city centre. It's walkable too fif about similar length of time .ation

Tolles Apartment, alles da was man braucht und was nicht da war,braucht man nicht. Problemlösung ( Schlüssel war nicht da, wo angegeben) durch Josef innerhalb von 2 Minuten. Leckeres Kölsch und Wasser stand im Kühlschrank bereit, Wohnung war schon beheizt, Betten bezogen. Josef hätte auch für weitere Probleme schnell eine Lösung gefunden, gab uns auch noch Tipps zum Einkaufen, alles super, jederzeit wieder.

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und zentral in der Südstadt gelegen. Alle Dinge des täglichen Bedarfs wie z.B. Supermärkte, Kneipen, Restaurants, Geschäfte usw. sind fußläufig zu erreichen. Super Basis, um auch den Rest Kölns zu erkunden. ÖPNV ist ums Eck.Die Ausstattung ist super. Alles ist vorhanden, was man so für ein paar Tage benötigt.Parkplätze sind in der Umgebung rar und kostenpflichtig. Wir haben das Angebot des Vermieters angenommen und gegen kleinen Aufpreis einen Stellplatz in der Nähe dazugemietet und es nicht bereut.

Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, geräumig und gut gelegen. Die Garage hätte gerne vorher einmal sauber gemacht werden können und befindet sich sich auch nicht, wie beschrieben, auf dem Gelände. Es ist eine Terasse oder Patio beschrieben, wenn damit der Innenhof gemeint ist, in dem die Mülltonnen stehen, läd dieser nicht zum sitzen ein.

Eine sehr schön gelegene Wohnung. Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig mit einer schönen großen Küche. Die Schlafmöglichkeiten sind gut. Alles sehr sauber. Einige Kleinigkeiten sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen und könnten mal erneuert werden (z.B. Zugseil beim Rolladen). Insgesamt eine sehr empfehlenswerte Wohnung. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
