Butler’s Bay Cottage on Teal Lake is a newly remodeled vacation rental located on the shores of one of the Hayward, Wisconsin area’s most popular Quiet Lakes, offering a peaceful and relaxing Northwoods getaway.

This cozy cottage features 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, making it ideal for couples, small families, or a quiet retreat with friends. One bedroom includes a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom offers two twin beds. A sofa sleeper provides additional sleeping space.

Step outside and enjoy beautiful lake views just steps from the water—perfect for morning coffee, lakeside picnics, or swimming along the shoreline. Guests are welcome to bring their boat and use the private dock, or simply relax and take in the serene surroundings.

Outdoor amenities include a grill, fire pit with lawn chairs, and a picnic table, creating the perfect space for evenings by the lake. Inside, the cottage offers two comfortable sitting areas, a dining room, and a new washer and dryer. Recent updates include central air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable stay during warm summer days.

For larger groups, Butler’s Bay Cabin next door can be added to your reservation for additional space.

Teal Lake is well known for its excellent fishing and connects to Lost Land Lake, offering even more opportunities to explore the water. As a designated Quiet Lake with a 10-mph speed limit, it’s ideal for enjoying a pontoon ride or exploring by kayak or paddleboard, which are available to rent during your stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband is 3rd generation being on Teal Lake. This was our 1st experience at this cottage. It really felt like home away from home. The pics and description were accurate but somehow still didn't do it justice :) It was a beautiful place! Liz & Kari were wonderful to work with getting the reservations set up. We brought our 11yr old grandson & he enjoyed it all. We use this vacation to fish & enjoy the surroundings.

Location, clean, great value!

Had an amazing stay at Butler’s Bay cabin. We had a family of 5 with kids 8, 11, 14. Washer, dryer and AC were important to us and the location can’t be beat! The kids loved the sandy lake entry, dock and the boat rental topped it off. Comfy, spacious, clean and easy to find. Our first night we were lucky to have perfect stargazing weather and it did not disappoint.

We just got home from our stay at Butler’s Bay cottage. It was so nice and relaxed. Yes, they provided towels. Yes, it was clean and comfortable to stay there. And they did installed a land line. The cottage next door was a little bit closer than we would like but we strike out with the two families that stayed there during our stay. The lake is beautiful! Absolutely would stay there again!

We had a nice time. The cottage and lake were nice. Fishing was decent. Our only complaints was that the kayaks that were photographed and advertised as an amenity were actually a separate rental/upcharge. And we werent given the address/directions to the cabin until AFTER our check in time!

Clean comfortable cabin

Great cabin. Enjoyed our stay Didn't realize the lake was a 10 mph lake. Would have been nice to see this in the property description. The reception is terrible there, a house phone would be a great addition for emergencies. Other amenities for the cost would be great such as small toiletries, garbage bags,firewood and towels. We only say this because we own a rental and include many and more amenities. Early checkout is not friendly. We left the property just about as clean as it was when we arrived, would have lined to enjoy a bit more time there in the morning.
