Welcome to the Bullpen in the Beachwalk Resort Community! This spacious 4 bedroom 4 bath home was designed with families in mind. There is plenty of room to spread out, relax and enjoy!

The large open concept living room/kitchen with it's expansive windows offers stunning views of Lake Kai (the inner lake in the Beachwalk community) The Bullpen is also just a short walk to beautiful Lake Michigan!

French doors off of the kitchen take you right onto the beautiful screened porch where you can dine al fresco or cozy up with a good book and take in the beauty of Lake Kai. In addition, on this floor there is and en suite bedroom with a queen bed, another bedroom with a full bed and a Jack and Jill bathroom that is shared with a room that has a twin over full bunk bed.

The second floor is home to the large master bedroom with a queen bed and master bath with a soaking tub and shower. The kids will enjoy the cozy loft area on this level for puzzles and game playing.

The lower level offers another TV area (also has a Golden Tee Arcade) with a sofa as well as two twin beds. sliding doors take you out to the lower deck which has a charcoal grill, solo stove and adirondack chairs. From there you are steps away from the community pool, water sports, tennis and fishing. You may reserve paddle boards, kayaks, pedal boats, tennis and bocce courts 24hrs in advance.

The Bullpen is just down the street from the Washington Park Zoo and minutes away from the Uptown Arts District, Blue Chip Casino and Lighthouse Place Outlet Mall. Take a short drive and you are at America's newest National Park, The Indiana Dunes National Park with 15 miles of coastline and beaches, and more than 70 miles of hiking trails.

4th of Iuly Fun

We had a fun time on the lake! The location of the house is absolutely perfect. We enjoyed all the amenities and especially loved the fishing. The house has everything you need including a very well stocked kitchen. We can’t wait to return!!

A Beautiful Vacation Home

While the house is in a community that is very close to other homes, the view of the beautiful lake and property makes you feel like you are in a private place. The home was clean and well furnished with supplies. The layout fit our family well. Our property manager, Gina, was the BEST and always attentive to any concern. Thank you for providing this wonderful space for a fabulous family vacation!

Perfect location for the sunrise

The Bullpen is right in the middle of everything Beachwalk has to offer. Short walk down the boardwalk to the pool or activity center. Right around the corner from the park and playground. Easy less than half mile walk to the beach. Senior parents did have some difficulty with the lack of any type of railing off the deck to the boardwalk. Resort definitely has a lot of kids but we still enjoyed it for our adult family. Note that there is an extra fee for resort wristbands or you won’t be able to do any of the activities. That wasn’t clear to me when booking. Two minor problems when we were there and property manager was very responsive.

Family gathering at Beachwalk

The house worked great for our family of 10 which included grandparents, three adult children, two with spouses and 3 grandchildren ranging from 7 months to 8 years. Each family group had their own bedroom/ bathroom and we all loved the screen porch overlooking Lake Kai. It became the gathering space for coffee, meals, conversation and reading. Being able to walk to the beach, pool, ice cream and even coffee were terrific. It was a wonderful week and the house was perfect for us.

Awesome location on lake

It was very peaceful because it was facing the small Lake Kai. Nice to see people fishing on the lake. The screened-in porch was perfect, along with the outdoor firepit. The property manager was very responsive with the few problems that existed (leaking faucet and broken ice maker). The one complaint from the adults...the beds were not very comfortable. Otherwise, it was a great gathering place for our whole family. Thank you!

Second season for the Bullpen

We love being on the Lake Kai boardwalk with a sunrise view from the screened porch, right in the middle of the action; the house configuration suits our group well. We appreciated the upgraded furniture in the living room, lower level, outside area and bedrooms and the plentiful cleaning products. The house instruction book is very thorough and helpful, though we were surprised to learn that our host is not available on Sundays, when we had a question. Beachwalk amenities get better every year, though the resort bracelets are pricy.

The Bullpen hits it out of the park

Our extended family is full of Beachwalk veterans: we've been going there for more than 25 years and have sampled many rental homes, but it will be hard to surpass The Bullpen for cleanliness, comfort and location. We lived on the screened porch overlooking Lake Kai and slept well on quality bedding. Plentiful games, beach towels and chairs and household supplies were much used and appreciated--and everything in the house worked. Our host Gina met us personally on check-in and was completely responsive and friendly. This home is not managed by Beachwalk and we found Gina's company to be far superior in oversight and personal contact.

Great week!

We had a great week at The Bullpen! The house was the perfect size for our group of 11 (4 adults plus 7 kids ranging in age from 5 to 15). The view of Lake Kai was beautiful, and we loved being able to fish from right outside the back door. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms and for the beach. The games were a great touch too, as well as the extra beach towels, firepit, beach chairs and scooter. The location of the house was great, as it was a short walk to the playground, pool, beach access and kayaks. We rented a golf cart for the week which probably wasn’t completely necessary due to the close proximity of everything, but it sure made it easier to take trips of gear and people to the beach, as well as take the kids for rides. Communication with the host was excellent too. We would definitely recommend The Bullpen, and we hope to visit again!

Best house we've rented in this community!

We have been coming to Beachwalk every summer for about the last 8 summers and I have to say, this is the best house we've rented to date! The view of Lake Kai and location right near the pool was fantastic. The screened in porch off the kitchen is perfect for morning coffee and meals even if it is rainy. The walk out covered porch from the basement is also a lovely feature and the fire pit right on the lake was awesome at night. The house is so well appointed, with plenty of towels, glasses/yeti's, a great fridge with plenty of ice, silverware & dishes along with amazing water pressure in all the showers/tubs. They even had 6 beach chairs and towels & 3 wagons to get to and from the beach. The property manager was quick to reply to any issue we had, which were few. For reference, we had 3 adults and 7 children ranging from 1 year to 18 years old--plenty of space for everyone to relax when we weren't outside. The "Golden Tee' video game in the basement was a HUGE hit with my teen boys and my brother (who is 37!) We had an absolute blast and we would most definitely rent this house again (which is not something I have said about past rentals in this area!) Absoultely worth it! We enjoyed it sooooo much! Great trip!

Awesome Father's Day Weekend

Stayed over Father's Day weekend while in the area for a 15U baseball tournament with my wife, 3 kids and both sets of grandparents. The house was spotless. Check-in was as easy as it gets. Lots of room for everyone with great screened in porch and a patio right on the lake. Easy walk to pool and kids were able to paddleboard and kayak around the lake. Quick walk to Lake Michigan and lots of great restaurants are a short car ride away. Would definitely stay again!
