Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location right on the beach. Small bedrooms with shared bathroom access was awkward. Older house, garbage disposal needed in the kitchen.

Cozy Cottage, Great Location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was great, loved the easy access to the beach. House was cozy. Not going to complain about what I would have different in the house, because everyone organizes and has different likes and dislikes. The house met our needs as a family and we appreciate the ocean front rental. Everything was surface clean, there were NO house bugs, unlike ALOT of other beach rentals we have had, so that is a huge plus. Loved the back porch and decktop porch, loved the short walk to the beach.

We’re so glad you enjoyed the great beachside location and had a comfortable stay. It’s wonderful to hear the porch was a nice spot to relax when the weather didn’t cooperate, and that our team was able to quickly take care of any concerns. We truly appreciate you staying with us and are happy your group had such a great week in the Outer Banks. We hope to welcome you back again soon!

Great location, right on the beach!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was clean and we kept, not new but still very nice and met all our needs. The location was great, close to all the attractions that we wanted to see and right on the beach, we could hear the waves crashing on the shore! The only issue we had was that it had a pretty strong smell of moth balls which was kind of a bummer, but we opened up the windows and bought a scented candle and it was fine. Would definitely recommend this place!

Excellent property, gorgeous beach, we’ll maintained

This property is directly on a gorgeous beach, and we enjoyed watching the sunrise as dolphins swam by each morning. The house itself was clean, if a little sandy, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything I needed. The grocery stores and liquor stores are close by, making for a relaxing vacation overall. We rented the linen package which was well worth it. Highly recommend.

The crow perch area was great for watching the sun and full moon rising over the ocean and then watching them set over the houses behind us. The house was clean and the space was very functional. My wife and I could easily have shared the space with another couple. The interior of the house was a bit dark - it made reading in the evenings a challenge. The front door lock could be a bit uncooperative. Sometimes it took one try, sometimes two or three tries. Overall - a great location to spend a week.

The best on the beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 30th year renting Sandy Bottom beach house. We got engaged here 30 years ago and every year celebrated our youngest daughter Heather’s birthday there. She passed away from cancer at 11 years old and we cherish every July 2nd in the same house that we shared so many happy memories. The house is clean and provides just enough for our treasured 2 week stay.

perfect size house, perfect location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed in this house several years and love the layout and location. It does need some attn from owners. Nails protruding from decking and railings. Some kitchen utensils need replacing/restocking. Some bedding needs to be replaced. Slow draining plumbing.

Unbelievable Beach Location

You can’t ask for a better location to enjoy the Outer Banks. It’s right in the middle of everything you want to do and is on the beach with a beach view. The house is very clean and has a nice layout. This house isn’t your typical VRBO. There is absolutely nothing left from the previous renters so make sure you plan for that. It’s kind of nice not to have questionable leftover food in the fridge. I purchased the linen package since we were flying in. It was seamless and convenient. I highly recommend this house and would stay here again. Note that you cannot get in until the check in time ON THE DOT.

Last Hurrah!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Sandy Bottom was everything we needed to close out summer. The rooftop deck has awesome ocean views! We didn’t use the umbrellas as it was too windy. Proximity to the beach was perfect. High tide left just enough room to set up our beach gear and leave room for the lifeguards to go through in their trucks. Not sure if that was due to the tropical storm that went through. The home was spacious and had everything we needed. The only thing we missed was an outdoor eating area. We would definitely stay here again.FYI the mapped location on the website is inaccurate.

Best stay by far!

We have been coming down to OBX for decades and this trip was earlier than usual due to an early high school graduation. It was me, my husband, my mother, my 23 yr old son, my 18 yr old graduate and 4 of his friends. Cottage was perfect with kids on one side of house and adults on the other. Great open concept in middle and largest, most comfortable couch ever! We’ll stocked kitchen, plenty of dining seating (and great table for D&D). Recommend line /towel service. Location was perfect with long crow’s nest for sunning, chilling or watching the sunrise. Easy step down to the dunes. Beautiful ocean views and a natural sound machine every night with the windows open. Wish the weather was better but early June is unpredictable. Hope to come back for Thanksgiving and again next summer. I give this place all the stars!

We loved the location and the host was very communicative. The property was not the cleanest but they did send someone out to clean a couple of the vents that were dirty. The host offered us a full refund if we wanted to leave, or try to relocate to somewhere else, but being from out of state and 12 hours from home, this was not possible for us. We were told a partial refund wouldn’t be possible so we chose to stay and we did some of the cleaning ourselves. On the brighter side, we enjoyed being right on the beach.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the beachfront location and appreciated our communication throughout your stay. We sincerely apologize that the home did not meet your expectations for cleanliness upon arrival. While we were grateful for the opportunity to address the vents during your stay, we understand that having to do additional cleaning yourself was frustrating and not the experience you should have had. We take cleanliness very seriously and have shared your feedback with our team so we can continue to improve our inspection and housekeeping processes. We truly appreciate your understanding and hope we have the opportunity to provide you with a much better experience in the future.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The overall experience was good. There are definitely things that could be improved. The storm door is not great. It is hard to close. The shower rods have mold. The underneath of couch is filthy. The house was surface clean. The toilet seats need to be replaced. The sand at the bottom of the deck stairs could be shoveled to give a full staircase. We had a handicap individual with us. The walkway to the beach, ine panel is rotting and not usable as it is breaking. The kitchen could have been much better organized. Dishes were in no order. We loved being right on the beach. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
