Il Palazzo is the perfect accommodation for those wanting a lavish experience of staying in a classic coastal home on the Adriatic. Originally constructed in the 1700s, Il Palazzo retains all the old-world charm that lets you feel the romance of Europe long ago. To ensure your comfort, Il Palazzo's interior has been renovated with modern European amenities and furnishings - classic styling, modern comfort.

Il Palazzo is located in the quaint seaside village of Volosko. With an active fishing community and small boat harbor, Volosko is pleasantly removed from the hustle and bustle of modern European life, allowing you to soak up the Mediterranean charm. Quaint, however does not mean isolated. Just outside your front door you have access to a handful of waterfront restaurants and cafes. Small convenience stores and shops are located just a couple minutes walk away. A beautiful waterfront stroll will take you to the seaside city of Opatija, and a quick 15 minute drive will bring you to Rijeka. Il Palazzo makes an ideal base for exploring or doing business in the region, while having a wonderful seaside retreat to return to at the end of the day.

Il Palazzo is a large home, which spans 4 levels. A large open-plan living, dining and kitchen area with views over a small harbor provides ample space for entertaining or just relaxing. Two spacious bedrooms each have a large queen bed, while the third bedroom can comfortably accommodate an additional adult. The open-plan loft provides an additional queen size bed plus two sofa beds and full bathroom. All sleeping quarters have water views. An outdoor terrace has ample space for setting up an alfresco meal or sun bathing. Il Palazzo also includes a quiet office retreat, sauna and a wine cellar, which is stocked with a selection of wines for you to enjoy during your stay.

Fantastic place and hospitality!

We had a stay at IL PALAZZO this year, the location was overwhelming, the Palazzo met our expectations with several bedroom choices but indeed exceeded the expectations on all levels. The arrangements exceeded all our expectations and even the location was familiar to us in advance, we would not choose anything else but Il Palazzo for the 2015 holidays to Croatia again. Hospitality in Croatia is fantastic, but the family-like approach of caring and taking care of our wishes just left us totally satisfied. Will be there again next year! Truly recommended!

Royal comfort, beside the sea

Our 8-member family spent a wonderful week in Il palazzo. All our amenities were served by the building, and all the nearby restaurants, bars, shops, cake shops etc. I'm sure we're going to this super comfortable palace.

Beautiful Luxurious Waterfront Home

WOW. What a beautiful home to spend our family vacation in. The entire house has been upgraded with everything needed for an extremely comfortable stay and the beautiful view from the bedroom windows is breathtaking. Tea was so wonderful to work with and I hope to return and stay there again. Hvala The Prodans

Ein Haus mit Charme

Das Haus hat eine exzellente Lage im Hafen von Volosko. Alle Zimmer haben Fenster zum Meer und den wünderschönen Ausblick auf den kleinen Bootshafen. Wenn man sich vors Haus setzt und plaudert kann man sich in der Pizzeria nebenan seine Drinks ordern, fantastisch !! Die Betreuung durch Tea ist ausgezeichnet und wir können die Unterkunft bestens empfehlen.

Amazing place, amazing location

The property exceeded all expectation and was a great place to relax for a week. The restaurant next door was perfect and happy to serve us while sitting on the couch in front of the house. Location was perfect and allowed for a relaxed stay in a small village within walking distance to main sections of Opatija. Property manager Tea was excellent and very attentive to any needs we may have had. Highly recommed this property. You will not be dissapointed.

We would recommend Il Palazzo

Two of us stayed for a week in September 2014 - though the place can accommodate many more, we still used most of the space and had a perfect hoiday. Il Palazzo an ideal mix of indoor and outdoor accommodation. The walk along to Opatija is gorgoues at any time of day or night. It can be slightly noisy at the front in the evenings if the windows are open but that didn't bother us at all. Next time, we'll plan to stay longer and do more exploring - the location is excellent for this and we didn't even have a car. There a quite a few stairs in the property so young children would need watching (ditto less able persons).

Amazing property

I almost don't want to submit a review. I would rather keep this place as our own little secret. The setting is fantastic. The house is amazing. Our family of six with four small children stayed here and we felt that we were swimming in extravagance. We especially enjoyed stepping out our front door to sit at the kafići or to grab a meal at the restaurants. With small children, it can be hard to enjoy a restaurant meal so we loved being able to call down to the waiters at the Plavi Podrum and asking them to send us up a gourmet seafood dinner to be enjoyed at our private dinner table in the villa. If we had known how perfect this property was, we would have booked it for much longer than 4 days.

A fantastic location

When the wind is up, the sea water splashes against the house, that's how close it is to the sea. A lot of natural light gets in and there is so much space to enjoy. The manager is always available and full of local knowledge. We had excellent food at the Mandrac restaurant and lovely cocktails at the bar next door.

Seaside paradise

This property is far more attractive than its pictures. It is spacious and comfortable with amazing views from all of the windows. While we intended to visit other cities on the Istrian Peninsula, we so enjoyed the harbor, the restaurants and cafes of Volosko that we only left to walk on the seaside promenade.

High end apartment

We came to Volosko to eat at Le Mandrac, Croatia's top rated restaurant, and chose this apartment because it is a minute walk away. It's bright, airy and has a lovely view of the harbour. Owners are hands on, and look after your every need. We have no hesitation in recommending this place to all.

Dream come true

Even though writing a positive review just increases the possibility for the house to be booked already next time we want to stay there we have to write that this is a very good offer of a house. Usually pictures in the internet look way better than what you get in the end but in this case we were very positively surprised. We spend two wonderful weeks and will probably come back!

This apartment is exactly as described. Lots of natural light, spacious and airy. Tea looked after everything from start to finish, excellent service. The restaurant Le Mandrac serves exceptional food and the promenade walk is really lovely.

Wonderful stay at a great location

The listing very well represents the house. It is as wonderful as the photos show. The property was shiny and clean. We had a wonderful time. The owner, Tea, was great to work with while we were setting up our visit - very quick to respond to any inquiries, precise and friendly. We visited with 2 couples and a baby, so there was plenty of room for everyone. The house could have easily accomodated at least one more couple. The rooms were comfortable and bright. The living area is the prime place of the house with very comfortable table and sitting area where entire family can gather and enjoy. The kitchen had all the major appliances, and basic staples which was very convenient. The internet was easy to hook up to our laptop and worked perfectly.The back of the house is a great big pathio where we spent lots of time. The house is nicely furnished but nothing more than needed, which made it very easy to baby proof - as there was not much trouble for baby to get into. The location of the house is great. We walked to Opatija every day, it is about a 10 minute walk. The restaurants downstairs were quite nice too - either to sit at and enjoy the view, or just to people watch from our window. There is a coffee shop next door to the house which seems to be a very happening place with many patrons all the time. On the nice side there was no serious noise outside past 10-11 pm, which was great for sleeping. All in all it was a wonderful stay, and we will come back.

Téa Maricic welcomed us upon the arrival of very pleasant way. She was available and on our listening during our stay. The house is in accordance with the description and service are of quality. We spent a very good stay in this house. We have moreover re rented the house this summer.
