We had a family getaway for a long week. The house was very spacious go all of us. Views of the lake were beautiful either sitting on the porch, by the fire pit or out on the dock. The host, Julia , was very responsive when we needed her for anything. We had so much fun with the kayaks and paddleboards. We would totally come back here again.

This house was great for our family vacation. The lakeside location was ideal, the house clean and well equipped, and our group enjoyed kayaking and the fire pit. The grocery store was close by, and we joyed our hikes in nearby Salt Springs State Park. Julia our host was very welcoming and responsive to our questions an.requests.

Beautiful home with kind, communicative hosts. This is a very quiet community with strict lake rules, be mindful of booking with a rowdy or loud group. House had really nice amenities and was easy to find.

This year our extended family chose the Heart Lake house as our annual family get-together. The house, property and lake were beyond our expectations. With 6 adults and 7 kids everyone had their own room with a TV and plenty of space to do whatever. Highlight for the kids was hours spent fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming and game room. With the outside grille and amazingly equipped large kitchen it was a pleasure to prepare meals and a LARGE dining room table and 3 outdoor picnic tables provided comfortable seating as a family. Stores and local day trip sightseeing destinations were easily found. Sitting around the campfire completed the day’s fun and relaxation for all! Thank you

Excellent property for our large multigeneration family. We have stayed at many similar sized properties and this one ranks with our favorites. Lot's of bedrooms/sleeping options and plenty of room for different activities at the same time. Beds and furniture were comfortable with many reading nooks and napping options. Well appointed and stocked kitchen. Most impressed with the dining table. First time our entire family could eat together at one table. Lot's of water activity options with reasonable restrictions for this charming little lake. Area offers many options (hiking trails, berry picking, etc.) in a beautiful setting with easy access to shopping/services. Our hostess, Julia, was easy to communicate with and very responsive. We especially appreciate her flexibility during the booking process.

An Incredible Getaway With Everything You Need

I can not recommend this property enough, it had everything a large group could need. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this property and look forward to returning next year. The owners were helpful and responsive, the lake was beautiful and the time there was lovely!

This property was amazing for our extended family stay. There was plenty of space to stretch out and do your own thing and then come together for meals. Kitchen was ample size to be able to cook for our large party. Paddle boards and kayaks were a great addition and lots of fish were caught. Would definitely recomment this for your extended families stay!

Wonderful property

Our extended family does an annual trip for the past 25 years and this property is fantastic. We have a large group and the layout of the house is perfect. Overall the property is very well maintained and the owner was a pleasure to work with.

Great Thanksgiving

We had a large group at this house for Thanksgiving. The house was wonderful - very nicely furnished, plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, lots of pots/pans and dishes, lots of seating for our large party. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Our lake front stay

The house was the perfect size for our family,Very relaxing and enjoyable. We stayed thru the week and pretty much had the entire lake to ourselves. Very nice and peaceful. The host responded to all of our inquiries quickly and was a pleasure to communicate with.

Lovely lake house with room for a family reunion

Julia is a fabulous host, so kind and responsive. The house(s) are lovely, laid out perfectly for a large gathering. The location is beautiful, on a lovely lake just ten minutes from the lovely downtown Montrose. We have stayed twice at the house and plan to do it again for our next northern reunion.

Beautiful home and setting!

The home is spacious with ample parking and a huge and comfortable great room and kitchen that was wonderful for gathering. The view of the water is lovely, and the hike around the lake very enjoyable. We had a few issues when we first arrived, but the owner was extremely responsive and helpful. I would recommend this property and would happily stay here again!

Mountain Weekend

Large group of us (13) revisited heart lake for the second year in a row and would be happy to make it a third. Plenty of space for up to 20 people, great kitchen and dining space, as well as extremely comfortable living and sleeping accommodations. Very cute brewery down the road and quick drive to Elk for activities. Can’t recommended this place enough. Thank you Julia!

Not every day on vacation brings perfect sunshine, and that was our experience visiting this beautiful home. Despite very unseasonable weather, our entire crew had a wonderful time, though. We had a mix of families and participants from ages 5-58 and there was lots of room for everyone. There were lots of visitor friendly aspects including lots of beach towels, hooks all over to hang things up, an ice maker, and two (gloriously two) dishwashers and ovens. Everyone also had plenty of space for board games, group meals, and we played a lot of pool and foos ball, watched movies, read and relaxed. When the weather allowed, we all enjoyed the fireside and the property was just right for yard games, ghosts in the grave yard, and hide and seek. The little kids loved having a playground/swingset on site as well. This turned out to be a great vacation. The owner/manager is extremely nice and took great care of us, including notifying us of a local power outage (which the backup generator handled without missing a beat). Would return!

Very well equipped

Our extended family enjoyed our stay in spite of the few rainy days. The house has plenty of space and invites small group conversations as well as gathering of the clan for meals and activities. The lake was just the right size for the kayaks and paddle boards. Everyone loved the house. The host was very accommodating and gracious. Thank you, Julia, for sharing your home.
