Welcome to Lookout Cabin at Wauhatchie Woodlands, a Timberroot Rustic Retreat. This cozy cabin is not only a perfect spot for a romantic getaway but also an ideal home base for your work trip to Chattanooga. With high-speed internet and a comfortable office space, you can stay productive even while enjoying a change of scenery. And when it's time to relax, the private hot tub provides the perfect setting for stargazing.
This cabin is equipped with everything you need to make the most of your time in Chattanooga. The fully furnished deck, surrounded by decades-old trees, offers a space for relaxation, complete with a personal hot tub for extra privacy. The living room features a cozy reclining leather couch, two lounge chairs, and a smart TV. The kitchen is stocked with essentials, including a coffee maker and complimentary coffee. A small bar-height counter for two provides dining space. The back portion of the cabin has office space with a spacious desk and comfortable chair. The memory foam king bed is up the stairs in the sleeping loft (4ft. ceiling). The bathroom is stocked with plush towels and our custom-scented bath products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap).
We are pleased to allow dogs at our Lookout Cabin, subject to specific terms and conditions. See our pet policy for more information. Pack and Play travel cribs are available upon request.

Chattanooga is a city known for its railroads. There are active train tracks that border the property to the north and I-24 is about half a mile away. Please note that light sleepers may be affected by the ambient city and train noise. Each cabin has been equipped with a white noise machine to help minimize any disturbance. Helpful and quick to respnd when I got lost! It is easy to miss the entrance so believe your gps when what looks like a pull off is actually the neighborhood entrance .Tub was eady to use and everything was clean and comfortable. Right at base of all attractions and so easy to get to the city that we knew our way back after only 2 days!

Great Location

Cozy cabin that had everthing we needed. Close to hiking trails and the grocery store. The hot tub was amazing after a day of outdoor activities!

The cabin itself was well equipped but the location was terrible - hard to figure out the streets plus literally right by train tracks which we heard all night … so no sleep. Not well lit to leave at night for finding your way back. Not a great place on the mountain in terms of any beauty or nice views. Wouldn’t go back again.

Wonderful Weekend Getaway

We had an amazing time in the cabin for a long weekend getaway! The check in and out process was super easy, and when I had questions they were answered right away when I reached out. The special soap smelled amazing and so nice to have. And the trains didn’t bother us at all, my 3 year old loved seeing and hearing them go by.

Cute and comfy tiny home

We loved our stay here. It was nice and clean. It is in a wooded area so there were bugs, but nothing you can really do about that. The train was active, but the sound machine and provided ear plugs ensured we slept well.

Adorable mini gingerbread cabin in a great location. Loft bed was very comfortable. Check in was easy. Check out was a bit confusing as the signage posted inside the cabin did not match the amenities (mentioned dishwasher/laundry), but the host emailed check out instructions that were easy to follow.

Loud Trains!

Beautiful cabin but sooo close to the train tracks. I woke up in a panic multiple times due to the loud trains. 2nd night we used earplugs and slept like a baby.

Beautiful tiny cabin with a great location

We stayed overnight for my birthday trip and it was everything we wanted and needed it to be. The cabin was gorgeous and had great amenities. Only remote thing I would’ve changed is more clarification on check out instructions as there were differences between the email, text message, and info inside the cabin. But again, that’s being super nit picky. We will definitely be back!

Nice tucked away spot

The property itself was a little difficult to get onto with our large vehicle, as the driveways were very steep. But I can't take away points from it given the area is mountainous. The cabin me and my husband stayed in was very clean and well kept.

Best little cabin!

This was a perfect little cabin! Check in and check out process was very easy. The cabin is in a great location-it was only minutes from everything we wanted to do. It was so relaxing to come back to the cabin and relax. We can’t wait to plan our next trip to Chattanooga.

Great place for a weekend trip

Place is the perfect size for you and one other companion while also being pet friendly. Overall, the amenities there are pretty nice and everything thing that you need is there. Great location as downtown is only a couple miles away as well. Only slight issue was that ants would come in, but it is a cabin, so we expected some bugs. Management was very responsive throughout the entire stay.
