There are several good fishing lakes in the area. A little more than 10 km away you will find the Hammarsjö area with everything from normal inland fishing to implanted noble fish. Here you are also close to Astrid Lindgren's World and the beautiful Vimmerby. In the right distance for day trips you will find for example Glasriket with its art glass cabins and larger glassworks or the town of Gränna with boat trips to beautiful Visingsö.

Also visit historic Kalmar with its well-preserved Renaissance castle and medieval city center. Here you will also take the bridge to Öland, an island that offers a wide range of arts and crafts, extensive sandy beaches and activities for all ages.
