Great central location for our planned activities. The enclosed patio ended up being perfect for our small family gathering. Parking really wasnt an issue either, despite only being able to park on 1 side of the street.

We really enjoyed our stay. This is the second time we’ve stayed with Ish and the first experience was wonderful and this one was equally as amazing! The home was central to everything! Grocery stores, shopping, entertainment and easily accessible to the interstate. The home had everything we needed to enjoy family time, play games and comfortably rest. Ish was incredibly responsive anytime I reached out. We loved the table game so much that we ordered one for our house Thank you for being an amazing host! We’ll be back soon!!!

The kitchen was well stocked, cooking was fun. My grandchildren loved that there were TV's for everyone. My grandson was able to use the WIFI to conduct some Scouting business with no hassles. The house was homey and we truly enjoyed our stay.

The house was nice and clean, but the reason this gets a 3 is that I've never felt so unwelcome by a host before.A few days before our arrival date, we got a message from the host that made Apple's terms & conditions look like light reading.Some of the highlights in the message included a threatening sentence about not doing anything illegal because there is a cop that lives on the block (yes, really), letting you know a 25 fee will be charged if any towels get dirty with makeup, and many other warnings of extra charges for several reasons. By the time you are done reading you are afraid to just breathe in the house.This repeats itself with the checkout message that opens with a warning that a lost tv controller will be 25.The house is also filled with warnings about what not to do.Aside from all this, we requested if we could check out 1 hour early or 1 hour late (checkout was 10am), and off course, there was a 50 charge per hour. For checkout the owners said the cleaners arrive promptly at 10am so we had to be out of the house, or a charge would be added. We waited outside the house for our uber about 20 minutes, and the cleaners did not arrive "right at 10am" haha.I've stayed in many short-term rentals and so have my friends, and we've never experienced such an unwelcoming host. I would not stay at this property again for that reason.

Wedding trip

We came to Detroit for a week to attend a wedding and to visit friends. There were four adults and two kids. We were able to spread out especially with the enclosed porch. Being close to I-75 allowed us to move around town quickly.

Communications with the host were not welcoming. We felt as if we were being monitored. House has an odd smell but not worth mentioning to the host as they are clearly already aware; an air purifier is in the living room. The house needed a deep clean; socks worn in the house were filthy afterward. The stay served our purpose, but we would not book again.

Thank you for your feedback. We manage 7 properties in the area and can assure you there is absolutely no monitoring in any of them. I’m sorry if my fast responses and thorough communication made you feel that way. I will reduce the amount of communication in the future if that’s preferred. The air purifier is standard in all our homes, primarily for white noise and not due to any smell. None of the reviews before or during your stay mentioned anything about a smell, but I appreciate your comments and will review the cleaning with our team.
