The home was spacious for a family of 5. It was great place to stay as we traveled on I-95. The home is conveniently located and well-maintained. There are plenty of items provided by the host.

Love to have your family!Welcome come back anytime!
My family and I stayed here for the night on the way to our family vacation in Destin. Property was clean and well lit as we came in late on Friday night. No issues on checking in and the owner even had the pull out beds made as we were using all beds during our stay. Would definitely book again.
Only stayed one nite to be near cumberland island ferry. It was about 15 minutes away. Listing was accurate and directions and info provided was spot on. Highly recommend.
A musty smell. Light switches that don’t work. Beds that are uncomfortable. neighborhood noisy.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take pride in maintaining a clean environment, and we're surprised to hear about the smell and issues with the light switches as these have not been previously reported (the light switches appear to continue working as seen during cleaning). Regarding the beds, they have consistently received positive feedback from other guests. While we have little control over outside noise, we aim to provide a peaceful stay inside our home.
We appreciate your comments and thank you for your stay!
First the good news - property is very conveniently located to I-95, on a safe residential street. Cottage is spacious.
Now the bad news - Mattresses are uncomfortable and need to be replaced. Linens and toilets were clean but that is it. Out of more than 40 VRBOs we stayed in by now, this was the filthiest. The floors were tacky. Counters, dining table and end tables were all dirty. Grace seems to want to please her customers, but she will have to step up her cleaning if she is serious about running this VRBO.

Thanks the good words about the house which are most important part for your treavel. We understand everyone have their own preference about mattress. Floor you feel sticky because the floor sealer we just put on.
Let’s begin with this is a sketchy neighborhood. Upon arriving there was a very strong musky smell. The house itself seemed clean. You literally locked the doors by dropping a bolt into a latch. All exterior doors were rotted with plastic caps under the door. The grass had not been cut. The air conditioning wasn’t working. The host did say they would send someone out. We waited for a while but after 2 hours sitting in 80 degree heat we left. The air conditioning was supposedly repaired after we left. We tried to negotiate some kind of refund but the host refused even a partial. Definitely would not recommend.

Nothing can beat the shameless!
1) You used our house as rest area and stayed in the house for more than 2 hours. You used the bathrooms, beds, and couches. Only then did you call us afterwards! You then made up a story (which was proven wrong by the maintenance guy's pictures he took 10 minutes after you called us) to demand your money back. I always work with honest, decent guests!
2) This "sketchy neighborhood" is a small neighboorhood made for five-member families. They have all been here for more than 10 years, and they are more decent than you!
My friends and I were traveling to Cumberland Island. The trip always includes a long drive from the Atlanta area. Most years we book a hotel near the ferry. This year we decided it would be more comfortable to get a house for the night to group and then start our adventures on Cumberland Island. The process of finding a house in the St. Mary's area wasn't too difficult. This house came up as I was looking. The distance from the Ferry was approximately 10 miles. Coming onto the street, the neighbors were very friendly to help us figure out which house was ours for the night. The entry system was easy and the place was very clean. Everyone had a good night sleep and were were able to fuel up with coffee prior to our next adventures. This place made for part of our special memories. We laughed we cried and we all agreed it was a great choice. This trip was to Eulogize one of our close friends, so the stories and antics of any trip are part of our experiences. This place fit the bill. The owner is very quick to answer any questions and emails. I reached out to her prior to renting and she was always available to answer any of my questions.
