Cabin is located on 35 private wooded acres on ridge top, with awesome views of adjoining national forest. Cabin has beautiful woodwork . Red oak floors, Hickory cabinets, and Pine tongue and groove walls and vaulted ceiling. First floor ceilings are over sized exposed beams. The cabin has two bedrooms on the first floor. A large loft with a double and three twin beds. Down stairs has a room with daybed and twin bed, TV with DVD player with easy hook ups for games (not included) a laundry room and second bath. The great room in the front of the house has vaulted ceiling, a cozy gas fired stove and is open to dinning and kitchen area. Gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and includes a lot of basic cooking needs. On the rear screened porch is a 6 person hot tub, bluetooth stereo system and best of all, awesome views of the mountains. There is also a large deck on the side of the house again with great views. There's also large front covered porch with ample seating.
In addition there is a private area across from the driveway next to a lovely stream where you can fish for native brook trout with proper licensing. This is also a nice cool spot for a picnic or just playing in the creek on a warm day.
The Resort Town of Hot Springs, NC is less than 10 mi away with several Restaurants and Bars an Ice Cream Shop and a very well equipped hiking and back packing outfitter. Also located in town is the Hot Springs Resort and Spa, where you can get massages and beauty treatments. There is also a grocery and convenience stores where beer and wine is sold (the county is dry), along with a few shops.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2006
To have a place in the mountains to hike fish and ride motorcycles . Also to visit and entertain friends and family
This cabin was amazing. It comfortably accommodates 8-9 people (with beds for 10) and you have everything you need for a weekend away from the city. Firepit, hot tub, huge deck (both screened and open). The driveway was interesting...in a heavy SUV it was no trouble but we had a smaller SUV get stuck halfway up. There are 2 "pull over" spots on the driveway though where people with cars or small SUVs can park and either hitch a ride the rest of the way up or just walk. It was about an hour to Asheville and 20 minutes to where we went rafting. Completely isolated, no one to bother you, just the gorgeous views of the mountains. We will definitely be back!
This cabin is beautiful and roomy on the inside. The cabin is on a mountain top and has wonderful views of the mountains from the side deck. The owner Rob is great to work with and the rental process is super easy. The owner's provide everything you can think of that you will need for your stay. The cabin sits all by itself so you don't have to worry about neighbors or privacy. The only problem we had was the driveway up to the cabin is very steep and was challenging. I highly recommend a 4WD SUV to easily climb up the steep driveway because I don't think you could make it on a car to the top. The cabin is in the middle of the mountains so it is not very close to any attractions other than white water rafting. Overall we had a wonderful time just enjoying the hot tub and the peace and quiet on the mountain top. The cabin is nicely decorated and clean. The rental cost is fair with no hidden fees and not overpriced like alot of cabins are. Thank you for sharing your property with us!
Everything about this trip was amazing and this cabin was perfect. Making the reservations was quick and easy, finding the cabin and driving up the driveway was a little challenging but didn’t ruin our good time. The cabin can accommodate several people, we only used the two bedrooms on the main floor but there is plenty of space. I love to cook and the kitchen was perfect, large dining room table we could all sit at, board games we could play while we were relaxing. We did the Blue Heron white water rafting while we were there and it was a blast, amazing tour guide and beautiful scenery. We found a little coffee shop right down the road that had great espresso and homemade ice cream. Cannot wait to visit again.
The cabin is beautiful and was perfect for our girls weekend mountain getaway for massages in Hot Springs. We enjoyed the hot tub one night of our two night stay, and I liked how that part of the porch was screened off. The deck, with a spectacular mountain view, was perfect for us to enjoy the view, talk and have coffee one morning.
Working with the cabin manager was a pleasure. My friend and I had trouble with finding the key, and he quickly offered to drive out to the cabin (a 25 minute drive) to help us. Luckily we were able to get in ourselves before he had to do that. One word of caution: I was warned beforehand of a steep driveway, but I found it was a struggle for me to drive my Honda Accord up to the cabin. It is possible to get a regular car up and down the driveway, but if you are not used to mountain driving or a little nervous as I was, I would highly recommend a 4 wheel drive truck/SUV if you have it.
Overall, great place: I would rent again and I would highly recommend to a friend!
Enjoyed staying in this beautiful secluded cabin. Roomy, comfortable, tastefully decorated with gorgeous views. Will rent again!
Beautiful cabin in a private setting with amazing views! Plenty of room inside. We loved the smell of cedar upon our arrival and hated to leave. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and fireplace. We were planning our next trip before we ever left! Thank you!
Located close by are several Class A trout streams, perfect for fly fishing, with easy access from the road. Also located nearby are hiking and whitewater rafting in the Pisgah National Forest. The Appalachian Trail crosses the highway 5mi above the cabin at the state line, and again about 7mi away on the road to Hot Springs NC, where the AT goes down the main street of town which is Bridge St. A great day hike is the Laurel River trail. At just under 8 mi round trip, it is a fairly level easy hike along a beautiful large trout stream. Horse back riding is also available close by. The Lodge at Bear River wedding/event venue only 10 minutes from cabin.
Other Activities: Shopping, kayaking.
