We had a wonderful weekend with our family here. The stars at night were amazing!!! So quiet and peaceful! Great way to unplug!!!
Rustic and perfect - great views and cozy!
Great place to get lost and relax
Definitely bring an all wheel or 4 wheel drive! One of our SUVs couldn’t make it up the drive. Nice mix of 2 private rooms, 2 beds in the basement, and 1 full bed and 3 singles in the loft. Enjoyed the stash of board games. Everything was clean and well stocked. Great deck and hot tub area! Candles around the house were a nice touch. Big dining room table - lots of room for our group of 7. Very cabin-y feel. We had a little trouble with the DVD player and tv. The owner was responsive to our call and talked us through changing the hookups behind the tv/entertainment center to make it work. For some reason the tv screen was then only in black and white but we just went with it. Planning to come back for another weekend!
Great, secluded spot
We had a great time at the cabin. You do need all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway. The views are awesome and it is really peaceful.
The cabin itself has everything we need. I will say no WiFi or phone signal was a change, but we managed if we had to run down to town to connect. It’s a close drive to Hot Springs and a little further to downtown Marshall, which was very nice
Will definitely be back!
Beautiful cabin with amazing views. I would highly recommend 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway!
Beautiful cabin with absolutely everything you could think of! Just bring your clothes
Property was great! Exceptionally well maintained and a beautiful place to sit and relax! Very fast and easy to contact owner and an easy arrival and departure!
Located close by are several Class A trout streams, perfect for fly fishing, with easy access from the road. Also located nearby are hiking and whitewater rafting in the Pisgah National Forest. The Appalachian Trail crosses the highway 5mi above the cabin at the state line, and again about 7mi away on the road to Hot Springs NC, where the AT goes down the main street of town which is Bridge St. A great day hike is the Laurel River trail. At just under 8 mi round trip, it is a fairly level easy hike along a beautiful large trout stream. Horse back riding is also available close by. The Lodge at Bear River wedding/event venue only 10 minutes from cabin.
Other Activities: Shopping, kayaking.
