Oma's House is a peaceful retreat with historic charm, centrally located, and minutes away from the Abilene Convention Center, Downtown, SODA District, Abilene Christian University, and Hendricks Hospital North.

The property features a large fenced in back yard, gazebo with outdoor seating and basketball court. Balls and chalk are provided for an impromptu game of hopscotch or four square. There is also a large selection of board games for that perfect family game night.

The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, pots, pans and cooking utensils, as well as basic spices.

Great family home

The place was perfect for our big family, giving everyone space to sleep and to hang out. We were visiting Hardin-Simmons, and if my son ends up going there, we'll bookmark this place for future visits to Abilene.

We only spent 12 hours at the house but it was great for what we needed. Comfortable beds, lots of room, clean bathrooms with lots of extras and quiet peaceful neighborhood. We would stay here again.

Everything was just ok. The place was not very clean with cobwebs in multiple easy-to-clean places (light fixture above the dining table, window above kitchen sink, etc), food remnants in the sink, stains on several pieces of furniture and the sheets smelled stale. There isn’t a common living space for hangout. The only sitting areas are literally inside the bedrooms. The house is also in a rough part of town. I’m glad I didn’t travel alone or I would not have felt safe staying there. Nothing was amazing. It was all just ok. The host was very friendly and responsive.

Worked well for out of town funeral

Our father passed and was brought back to Abilene to be laid to rest. The house is cozy and nice and well suited our needs. Thank you for your great hospitality on a frigid cold day/night. Highly recommended.

This house is so charming and was perfect for our stay. Location was great and neighbors are friendly. Don’t go in expecting sleek and modern because this old house has a comfortable vintage vibe. Bet it has lots of stories to tell.
