About this property

One of a kind Treehouse on the Genesee River

Our 12 feet off the ground and grid treehouse provides a unique experience. Living area has a kitchen counter with sink and camping stove. Bunk bedroom has custom build bunkbeds with windows and tree ladder. The bathroom is uniquely designed with barnboards, fish sink and access to the outdoor shower. A pull down ladder (see picture) gives you access to the sleeping loft with a private balcony and large windows to a gorgeous view of the woods and field. The treehouse is now powered by Solar and has regular 110. A firepit and a grill are available. You can take a 1/4 mile trail walk around the property and visit the private river access. We have seen numerus wildlife at our property like deer, turkeys, squirls, chipmunks, rabbits. We are 1 mile from the Genesee Greenway, 25 minutes from Letchworth State Park, on the Route 19 Bike Route, 30 min from Swain Ski Area, 45 min from Ellicotville/Holliday Valley Ski Area and home to Bare Knuckle Boxing History. Three miles up the road is a kayaking launch spot to finish at the Treehouse location or leave from the Treehouse location to kayak about one hour north to next launch. Bring you fishing pole!

My wife and 2 daughters really enjoyed this property for 2 nights. Nice and secluded. A great place to stay and visit Letchworth State Park. Enjoyed a nice bonfire at night and breakfast at Ace's in Belfast. Outdoor shower was a fun experience for us. A good home base for exploring the southern tier.

The treehouse stay was a new experience for us and once we found our way on the path to the house we had a nice stay!! We were in town for a family gathering and used the place for overnight accommodations. Sheets were provided but no towels so we were happy we brought our own. Also, it is helpful to let renters know the tap water is not drinkable. A fun place to stay!

This is the place to get away from it all! Quiet yet close to attractions. Choose this treehouse if you are writing the great American novel. The outdoor porches have terrific views.

My husband and 5 and 7 year old had an amazing time here ! It was my compromise to camping ! How cool to stay in a treehouse! Everything was accurate as listed, the host was very responsive and caring regarding our stay and comfort while there. We went with the expectations of roughing it a little, not needing to do dishes or cook which we didn’t need to do with eating out. The firepit and picnic tables were perfect and the refrigerator kept our seltzers and kids drinks cold. We should have brought an air mattress bc my husband and I are very tall for the upstairs bed but that was on me I knew that prior to arriving. The town close by is adorable and super friendly ! Lechtworth State park and Rock City were awesome day trips and about a half hour away ! We caught family walks on the property, stargazing and a lunar eclipse the first night which was unplanned. Suggestions to check the hot water upon arrival to let the host know immediately and they will come and fix it for you. Amazing stay, beautiful craftsmanship and a must go ! Kids had a blast ! Will definitely return :)

The place was lovely. Had a cool stair road buddy. The meadow was full of fireflies and was gorgeous. It can be loud in the wind cause trees are still trees but we found it soothing. There is a path to the river only a few minutes walk from the place. Bring extra towels, for swimming and showering. And bring bottled water to drink. Reasonably so, the water is not drinkable in the treehouse. Overall a great little get away if you are looking to relax and get away from city noise.

If you're looking for something out in the middle of nowhere and don't want to be bothered this is it. It was peaceful for the most part nature wise. You can hear the traffic from the main road. It's heavy during the day. The treehouse is ran on solar power. When we were there it rained on and off so there wasn't sunshine and the power ran out the second day we were there. This also runs the water so you cannot flush the toilet or use the sinks without power. Theres plenty of firewood but it's not covered. We could not start a fire because the wood was soaked. The bugs that get inside the treehouse are annoying also. It was hard to sleep with the bugs flying around and landing on us. Also there is a very loud noise that came from I'm assuming the large silver tank underneath the tree house and it was random day and night. Woke us up both nights.

Thanks for the review. We would not have mind if you would taken the dry firewood further under the stag. I also did drop of paper and kindling after I was inform about that issue. Power was right back on after we talk to you. This was the first time power was out. Yes it can be tricky to pay attention to open doors (bathroom, upper bedroom) so bugs dont get in. I will get some bug strips and put peppermint out to help with the issue. Thanks Maike

The treehouse was absolutely beautiful. Check in was easy, was a little difficult finding as it’s very remote. Though the location pin was best way to locate. Our main concern was the amount of spiders in the stay. For the price we were expecting cleanliness to be on point, thought we spent most of our first night attempting to kill and clean out the spiders in the stay. Which we counted over 40 on the walls, corners, and even on the bed. Having camped and backpacked critters don’t bother me, but for the amount in the stay for what we paid for it definitely was not what we expected. The host was rude to us when we brought our concerns about the state of the house. It just appears it hadn’t been dusted or cleaned in some time. The host ghosted us and we had to contact VRBO support to refund us for a night we didnt stay.

Our host was wonderful to work with, A. Such a unique and beautiful property, we loved it. Super clean and comfortable, it was all we could ask for. The river was a little low for us to use our kayaks, but it was an easy drive over to Rushford Lake. The property is great to walk around and we also hiked along the river. Would highly recommend.

Perfect time!

Great stay! A little closer to the road than one would think so you can hear cars but still a beautiful scene. Had more than enough battery for lights and charging of our phones.

Stayed here with some friends recently. The property is amazing. Unique craftsmanship. It’s very secluded and quiet. Highly recommended if you want to feel like you’re camping but still have some basic amenities.

We stayed here with our 13,11 and 2 yr old boys and everyone had the best time! The location of the tree house has complete privacy and is right on the River which was a huge added bonus. We are already talking about maybe coming back next year. Only “heads up” is the “kitchen” sink is more of a dribble so washing any dishes is a long process but… your in a treehouse

Great get away

Spent a couple days with my sons ages 9 and 3, they loved the treehouse and the surrounding property. The layout of the cabin was perfect for a couple adults and small children. It was a warm week so we were prepared with a battery operated fan to help keep cool at night. Everything else needed was on site. Terrific stay, looking forward to going back next year.
