I truly enjoy being able to walk from the cabin to wherever I wanted to go in Helen the atmosphere was just what I needed, everyone was so friendly, truly had a wonderful time.
River song was a cute little cozy place for me and my co workers!! For our annual trip!! Hope to be able to go back soon!! It was fully stocked with everything but the food!! Nice little set up !!
The cozy cabin is in the perfect location to enjoy downtown Helen and the surrounding area. We walked to bars, restaurants, and shops and several great hikes were a short drive away.
My wife and I had a wonderful time in Helen . The lovely home we stayed in made our trip even better. With a beautiful view of the river and short walk to town. The location worked out perfectly for our stay.
My family and I had a wonderful time in this adorable cabin. It was within walking distance to so many attractions. Tubing on the river was great - we would stop at the cabin for lunch halfway through our tubing run. We will definitely be renting this again.
Our stay was great. What a great place, tucked away and private. Just a 5 minute walk to the cute local grocery store. The porch was great for watching all the people tubing down the water. Couldn't be happier with our stay!
This is a cute house in a great location. The house is older and there are some things that the property owner might want to update, but overall it is cozy and welcoming. Everything you would want to do during Oktoberfest in Helen is an easy walk away. This made for a perfect weekend away and we hope to return again soon!
Location great at north end of town. Right on Hootch - can pull up your tube for a stop if you like. Fully-equipped kitchen, 2 TV's, great wifi. Did I mention the working jacuzzi outside on porch? Hated to leave.....
We enjoyed the location very much the cabin is what to expect from an older cabin on a river. My only real disappointment was the hot tub appeared to look and smell like it hasn’t been cleaned properly in a very long time. Overall we aren’t disappointed that we stayed here.
Loved the cabin ❤️ Within walking distance to downtown. Was nice not having to drive. Loved watching all the people floating down the river on the tubes. Just wish there could have been a fire pit that would have been nice to sit there at night around a fire by the river. Will most definitely recommend this cabin.
The house was adorable and the perfect location. It's right on the water and walking distance to downtown, actually just a couple of blocks from Betty's. There was a minor issue with the hot tub when we got there but management was very responsive and it was quickly handled. The house was clean and very ADA friendly. My only critique would maybe be a newer mattress and more hooks or towel bars in the bathroom and maybe a couple of rocking chaira on the front porch. Its a beautiful porch that we spent alot of time on but the metal chairs were a bit rough.
Took our first trip to Helen from Florida. The house was very clean and accommodating for two and the location was perfect. Short walk into town, enjoyed sitting on the deck and listening to the babbling creek and enjoyed live music across the way. The only complaint I have is that the hot tub area is not private at all, it is overlooking the street. I would suggest some kind of privacy screen or trees. I did not use the hot tub since it was not private. Otherwise, a great place to stay!
Perfect little getaway for a couple. There is only one bedroom, with a king bed. There is a pull out sofa perhaps for littles, but I wouldn’t use it for older children or adults due to its location in open living room and smaller size. The property is a cabin, so there is wear and tear, and that should be expected. The cabin is roomy and handicapped accessible. It was clean and we had most of what we needed for the weekend. I would suggest brining a sponge for basic cleaning of dishes, or wiping counters if you use the kitchen. We needed to wash our dishes we used bc tenant before us had left unclean dishes. The sponge would have been helpful. Another suggestion would be to include instructions on how to access the Wi-Fi , and operate the hot tub in the cabin binder provided. We never did figure this out. Be forewarned the cabin entrance walkway does become slippery when wet due to the build up of mildew & mold growth. When cleaned and dry it should provide stability and no fall risk. Traction treads could also be added for safety. As for location, while close to town, the walk is uphill walk in some areas and along the side of a busy road, so use caution. The only other desire would be a fireplace, especially in the colder months. Something to take into consideration when looking for a place in Helen. All in all, a good trip for us.
Beautiful location with River view. Perfect for two people. Walking distance to the main strip. Easy check-in. Parking spot for one car. Hot tub was great. Even being close to two streets, it felt secluded and private. Cabin was clean.
