About the host
Hosted by Cora
I have been hosting in Portland for many years and am now pleased to offer our beach house in Gulf Shores out to travelers near and far. I will always do my best accommodate guests and make your stay as comfortable as possible. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions if I’m able to assist in any way.
Why they chose this property
We are happy to share the Sea View with other travelers near and far as they create their own lasting memories here in Gulf Shores. For those who know, they know, there really is no where quite like this and we consider it to be one of the most special and happy places there is. The surroundings are wild and rustic, the beaches uncrowded and the waves and wind can feel downright alive with their own unruly personalities. We are nature lovers at heart and enjoy the wildlife of the peninsula - turtles, frogs, dolphins, cranes, oh my! Our children love playing in the sand dunes under the house - essentially a giant sandbox, and the whole family looks forward to our daily sunset walk on the beach here in the lovely community of Surfside Shores. The skies are big and the sprawling sunsets here cannot be beat.
What makes this property unique
‘The Sea View’ is a single family residence in Surfside Shores, a quiet coastal community located in the Fort Morgan area of Gulf Shores. We are located about a 20 minute drive from the heart of Gulf Shores and a five minute walk to guest only beach access Fort Morgan is the peninsula part of the Island, sandwiched between Mobile Bay and the Gulf. On the scenic drive out you’ll pass by a few renowned golf courses - Kiva Dunes and The Peninsula, a calm body of water called the Little Lagoon which is a lovely spot to spend the day (Jeff Friends trailhead), and a few other hikes in which bird lovers come from all over to observe the wide varieties that call it home. At the very end of the road is the actual historic ‘Fort’ and a ferry boat that will take you to Dauphin Island. You’ll see fisherman launching their fishing poles both into the bay side and the ocean side and cranes standing by hoping for a morsel. The natural beauty of the area is breathtaking.
