Terrific, open, airy and highly functional Western-contemporary home on one of the sunniest, view-laden lots in Teton Village within steps of the ski slopes. This chalet-style house is selectively situated on a wooded lot with views of Rendez Vous Mountain (ski mountain) and Gros Ventre Mountains including Sleeping Indian. Our wonderful caretaker can greet you upon your arrival to hand over the keys and provide an orientation to the home and to the Jackson area, and will be available throughout your stay should you need assistance or have any questions regarding the house.
The home has 4 bedrooms and 4 baths, sauna, Jacuzzi and outdoor hot tub. An open floor plan, wood beams, with more than 3,500 feet of wood, tile, and tumbled marble and sandstone floors, copper and aspen kitchen, two magnificent fireplaces and more create a warm and cozy environment. A large lodge pole deck, located on the second floor with grill, allows for outdoor dining with stunning views of the Gros Ventre mountains.
The home offers two master suites. The first floor master suite has a queen bed, a gas fireplace set in a stone facade and sliding glass doors that lead to the stone patio and outdoor hot tub. Just off the bedroom, and accessible from the hallway, is the wet room for changing or accessing the Jacuzzi or outdoor hot tub. The washer/dryer is located within this room and a bathroom with shower is accessed through the wet room. A sauna is just across the hall as are two additional bedrooms. One has a queen bed and en suite bathroom, and the second bedroom has two twin beds.
The well-equipped kitchen, living, dining and card/reading areas and second master suite are located on the second floor of the home. The open plan allows for easy flow from area to area and floor-to-ceiling windows maximize the views and sunshine. The kitchen has an island with gas stove and oven and breakfast counter with wet bar and 4 stools. The living area has leather furniture clustered in front of the stone fireplace. A TV, DVD player and stereo system are all hidden from sight in an oversized armoire. Magnificent antler chandeliers hang from the 20 foot ceilings and dim to create just the right ambiance at night. Large lodge pole beams and a set of stairs to the loft area divide and define the room. The loft has 2 European-sized (smaller) twin beds and 3 bookcases. Just under the loft is the dining nook that seats 8 around the cherry dining table, crafted by local woodworker, David Trapp. A reading / card area with 4 overstuffed chairs and card table is located on the far side of the room. It is surrounded by large windows to afford views of the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort tram going overhead, or potentially of wildlife that from time to time wander into the wooded lot behind the house.
The second floor master suite has a king lodge pole bed, walk-in closet and bath with double sinks and large walk-in shower. Also on the second floor, just off the living areas, is a second full bath with separate sink area.
The rustic, western decor, contemporary art and unique furnishings in this home create a warm and cozy, yet highly functioning environment in which you can relax and enjoy your vacation in the Tetons.

I first skied at Jackson Hole in 1987 and returned to ski almost every year thereafter. I have skied all over the world and believe there is no other mountain like Jackson. Finally, in 2005 I decided that there was no need to continue trialing other ski resorts and decided to buy a house in Teton Village.
Mary Kate purchased this house in 2005
The most important priority for me when searching to buy a home in Jackson was location, and the location of this house is amazing: the third house in off of McCollister Drive so an easy, 2 minute walk in your ski boots to cross McCollister and ski down to the tram. I can see the bell tower lights in the Village illuminated at night but cannot see any of the large commercial buildings. The house is close enough for the short walk to the Village and yet off of McCollister so away from traffic. Great to be able to walk to the Village for a meal and not have to worry about driving.
I was only interested in Jackson as a ski resort until I purchased the house and experienced the other seasons. I'd always heard that Jackson was even more popular in the summer and I quickly understood why. There are so many activities at hand and the mountains and valley are even more beautiful in the summer.
I love to watch the tram from my kitchen, living room or card area windows. I also keep an eye out for wildlife in the back yard and over the years, have seen everything from deer to moose. The silence at night is heavenly, and a skylight in the ceiling of the master bedroom is especially appreciated both on blue sky days or nights when the moon is so full that you almost feel like it's daytime.
The layout of the house is perfect for entertaining as the second floor living areas all flow from one into the next, so you are never too far from the crowd but also are defined enough so you can slip off to a corner to relax and have a quiet moment.
Your place was simply AMAZING. It was perfect for what we
needed, and we had a fantastic time. Thank you for letting us stay, and I
really do hope I'll make it back!
Location and amenities are excellent. Extras like Jacuzzi, fire place make this place a real gem. The caretaker is very attentive and helpful.
We come again.

I stayed here with a bunch of friends for a wedding, and it was the perfect place to stay. Plenty of comfortable indoor and outdoor seating for everyone, wonderful kitchen with lots of cookware and a grill, a lovely hot tub for end of day relaxing, tons of natural light, and everything absolutely as advertised. The pre-stay communications were excellent, very responsive and friendly. The clean-up rules were also relatively fast and easy, way easier than other places I've stayed. I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone. Though travelers should know that Teton Village is very small, and given the road layout, it's not as easy a jumping off point for Yellowstone / Teton National Park as Jackson (even though it looks closer on the map). We ended up needing to go to Jackson a lot for shopping, restaurants, etc. But for the events we were going to in Teton Village, it was perfect.
Our family spent our summer vacation in Jackson, and the rental house was the highlight of a spectacular trip.
The location is ideal and the house was very that we could have hoped for. We were a 5min walk to the middle of the Teton Village. Teton Village is the hub of the Jackson Hole Ski Resort. This is where we dined in amazing restaurants, shopped in cute little stores, rode the Jackson Hole tram to the top of the ski resort for breathtaking views, went horseback riding, attended a live concert, pampered ourselves at the wonderful TerraSpa, and took several hikes. And NO NEED for a car! We also ventured into the town of Jackson (a 20min drive), hiked in Teton National Park (a 30min drive), and spent the day in Yellowstone Park ( a 2 1/2 hr drive). You couldn't have asked for a better location!
The house was amazing! We grilled on the deck every night because the views were so spectacular. The kitchen was 1st rate with new appliances and was completely furnished with everything that we needed to cook and enjoy meals with our large family. Bedrooms, bathrooms, and extensive common spaces were beautiful. The owner told us that the house was furnished and decorated by a local professional designer - easy to tell and very well done! Our favorite spaces were the kitchen, deck, living room, and outdoor hot tub. Washer & dryer also came in handy.
There's so much beautiful wildlife in Jackson. During our stay we had a visit from a friendly moose and her baby - they just strolled down the street in front of the house. We also had a deer munching the grass in the front yard. Great to watch them so close from the safety of the deck!
Another great thing about the house was the host / handyman, Carl. He greeted us with the keys when we arrived and spent time familiarizing us with the house and provided a big list of things to do while we were in town. So many great suggestions, but not enough time to do them all. We'll definitely come back and continue down his list!
We had a really wonderful week staying here. The house was exactly as advertised, spacious for our family of 7 and very comfortable. Everything was extremely well kept, and we very much appreciated the care that was taken to provide a full set of kitchen equipment, dishes, glasses; hair dryers; soap and detergents; plenty of towels and extra linens. Karl, who met us on the first evening, was very thorough in reviewing how the house 'worked', and was kind enough to provide bear spray. Breakfast out on the balcony was an added bonus. The house was within walking distance, or a very short car ride if necessary, to shops and restaurants in Teton Village. Could not have asked for more, and feel very comfortable recommending this.
Everything about our vacation in Jackson exceeded our expectations and it started with the house. They layout is open, airy, spacious and we felt like we were together as a family unit and yet when we needed it everyone was able to find their individual nook. When we walked in, we were taken aback at how beautiful the decor was but grew to appreciate that the tone was warm and cozy: very sturdy furnishings and nothing was breakable. Such easy access to Teton Village: we rolled down the hill for dinner and did not have to worry about safely driving home. . . just a 5 minute walk home. The house had everything we needed and more in terms of kitchen functionality, placemats, cutlery, dinnerware, towels . . . it was all there. The caretaker was extremely helpful: very comforting to know that he was just a phone call & a 10 minute drive away if we ever needed him (which we did not).
Your home was ideal for our ski get-away. The house is wonderful - clean, beautifully decorated and so comfortable. We loved the location, walking distance to the slopes during the day and restaurants and bars in the evening. And the apres ski hot tub was ideal! We love Jackson Hole and this is the perfect home for our girls weekend. We'll definitely be back again next year!
