This was a great spot to stay for the Chicago Marathon. The four bedrooms and two bathrooms were well equipped, the kitchen had everything we needed. There is a couch and tv space, however there isn't a great communal living room space outside of the kitchen table area. Host was very communicative and responsive to questions.
The house is in a wonderful location. The beds were comfy, unfortunately the air mattress lost air during the night. The only thing that was difficult was there weren't enough chairs for 8 people and no comfy furniture, also none of the remotes were by the TVs very confusing. It was very close to the city! We had a fantastic time!
Great location! Convenient to downtown and many parts of Chicago. The location felt secure & the space felt ample. We hope to return again!

Thank you, Aolani! We're thrilled you enjoyed our convenient location and felt at home during your stay. We can’t wait to welcome you back for another wonderful visit!
This was a perfect base for exploring Chicago during our 3 night stay as a family with adult children and our one small dog brought. The dining table had room for all 6 people. The unit being upstairs was fine as we are all able to handle stairs. Parking on street around the corner is not far to walk and was not the inconvenience we thought it might be. Breakfast restaurant Uncle Mike’s around the corner is fantastic.
The unit was nice, clean and comfortable. The location is good. I could see the area being sketchy but it was fine for our short stay. Communication with the owner when needed was quick to respond and gave good information. Would stay again, pricing was also very reasonable.
Hosted 8 adults for a nearby wedding very comfortably. Plenty of sleeping spaces, well stocked kitchen, and two nice new bathrooms. Not really anywhere besides the kitchen to hang out - so just plan to go sightseeing and do things outside the house - plenty to do within walking distance. Lots of stairs...so good mobility required. THANKS!

The house was very conveniently located near downtown Chicago, which made getting around easy. One thing I didn’t fully realize beforehand was how many stairs there are inside. You have to walk up a large set of steps to reach the main level, and then another set of stairs to access additional bedrooms. There also isn’t a true living room space where a whole family can comfortably gather (for example, a large couch area). That said, being in a city, that’s somewhat understandable. Our family of six did have enough sleeping space, which made the stay comfortable overall. It was also very easy to get to a nearby grocery store.Overall, the home worked well for our needs.
Perfect location for a wedding at Salvage One.
The only thing at the house is the living space is on the 2nd and 3rd floor. I don’t recall reading that in the description. We had some older adults who had a bit of a hard time climbing the steps.
We enjoyed our stay in this apartment. The location is in a safe neighborhood and tucked back from any busy roads so it was nice and quiet. There were some things needing repairs /updates (unpainted drywall patch chipping in upstairs bedroom, stain on the blue bedroom's curtain and vent hanging off the wall in that room, kitchen smoke alarm removed). Hopefully these repairs will be completed before the next guests. Otherwise, the place was just as pictured and worked well for our family's trip for a nearby wedding.
This place is lovely. There are some kinks to be worked out, but overall we had an enjoyable stay. The doors/locks don't seem the most secure though. Our host was very responsive.
If you plan to use the L, plan for a bit of a walk. The neighborhood is cute, which makes the walk enjoyable. There is a dog daycare next door. You can tell when dogs are being dropped off or picked up, but it is otherwise quiet. An added bonus is seeing cute pups!
