About this property

Boulder Town hillside perch in Escalante National Monument

Sunny, open-plan, small modern home at the edge of Boulder Town, literally minutes from world-class hiking, outdoor adventures, and creative/mindful pursuits. Nestled into a hillside, this quiet, restful space intended for couples or individuals, provides elevated views of the surrounding mesas and Boulder creek.

After a day of exploring the incredible landscape and features of the Escalante Grand Staircase, Capitol Reef, or any of the myriad nearby attractions, fall asleep with a blanket of silent stars overhead and cool breezes from your large windows. On a chill Fall evening, cozy up to the wood-burning glass front stove or head out to enjoy some of the most spectacular sunsets this planet has to offer.

The house grounds are beautifully surrounded by meandering flagstone walkways and patios among juniper and low piñon trees, creating a sense of privacy while inviting sweeping vistas of the area. This home is recently completed with continuing improvements to the property at large.

The property is well-situated off highway 12 at the edge of lovely Boulder Town, providing quick access to its amenities, including a couple of excellent restaurants, the wonderful Anasazi State Park and Museum, and very basic grocery/fuel needs.

Please note, the terrain is rough and the driveway is narrow and steep, with a tight-circumference loop at the top of the drive. Motor homes, vehicles with trailers, and some oversized vehicles will need to make alternate parking arrangements.

Additionally, please be advised the owner may periodically stay on the lower adjacent section of the property, which maintains a separate driveway, camper, and shed -- in a location well below the house, a moderate distance away. It is screened from house and patio views. If on-property, please know that your complete privacy and tranquility are of utmost importance, and will be maintained at all times!

Host profile image
I'm a lover of the southwest, spending most of my time in both Utah and New Mexico. I have a passion for exploring our wild deserts, canyons, mountains and rivers.
I especially enjoy hosting others who share that same love; really enjoy sharing my home and these beautiful places!

Please be advised, I may occasionally need to be on the lower peripheral section of the property, which maintains a separate driveway and shed, distant and screened from house and patio views. If so, your privacy and peace is of utmost importance and will be maintained at all times!
