Thank you for your interest in Good Intentions! We would love for you to stay in our humble cabin. However, we also value your time and want to help you make an informed decision regarding your stay in Asheville. With that in mind, here are our thoughts on who is probably most interested in our cabin:
-Smaller groups (2-4) who want the ambiance of a cabin at a fraction of the cost.
-Groups who want a country feel while maintaining close proximity to downtown Asheville (about 6 miles).
-Groups who want to enjoy beautiful views from a spacious deck.
-Groups looking to check out nearby attractions such as Chimney Rock Park, Biltmore Estate & Winery, Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina Arboretum, Great Smokey Mountain National Park, and Grandfather Mountain.
-Adventure seekers looking for a headquarters to crash in after a long day enjoying all the great hiking, biking, canoeing, kayaking, and other things Asheville has to offer.

And, to help you with your search, here is our opinion on who might be looking for something different:
- Larger groups (more than 4). We do offer a full-sized futon and two twin-sized cots, but realize that may be inadequate for people with certain sleeping requirements. Also, more than 4 people may difficulty sharing the 2 full bathrooms. Please check out another nearby rental if you have a larger party:

Nice cabin and great for two couples. Very clean. Could use blinds and a microwave and softer towels
Nice clean cabin. Great for two couples. Could use a better heating/cooling system, microwave, and softer towels. Very relaxing atmosphere. Overall a nice place and would stay there again.
Just what we were looking for
My daughters and I were coming to Asheville for a mother/ daughter weekend and was looking for a place to stay, close to the town yet a bit a of a sanctuary for conversation and wine. Though the place was incredibly comfortable and clean it did lack the hospitality touch we have found from so many HomeAway experiences. I would add a little “finishing touches” to make this place 5 star and definitely check to make sure everything is in working order before your guest arrived ( front porch light was out 😕). Didn’t appreciate the cleaning crew camped out at the end of the driveway either an hour and a half before checkout...tacky.
Cute cabin, but the listing doesn’t tell the story.....
The cabin itself is adorable and clean. Things you should be aware of...
1). The cabin overlooks a car/tire repair shop and cattle pen/grazing area. It may be a rural area but it’s in a rough area. Several abandoned or burned houses nearby. 2) You receive an extensive list of rules shortly before your arrival - well after your booking and ability to cancel without charge. Had we known about the rules - we would have reconsidered our rental. 3). There really is no functional tv. There are no direction on how to connect to their ESPN app.... 4). The extensive Christmas decorations (not in the property photos) are year round and include a chalkboard that counts down the days to the next Christmas. 5). There are sticky notes throughout the cabin about how to use/not use the property. Please invest in a good guest book with instructions. 6). There is no mechanism to leave trash unless you check out on trash day. Part of the extensive list of instructions says “take your trash with you”..... 7). The key situation is awkward Most rentals have a lock box and offer several keys inside. This one has only one key and it MUST (per the instructions) stay in the lock box. Given that more than one person usually rents the cabin, the risk of error is high. 8). The thermastat is in Celsius and he has a laminated conversion chart posted. Surely there is a way to set the thermastat in Fahrenheit.... 9). Some of the HVAC is room specific units that have sticky notes instructions that end in , “if you can’t get it to work, use a space heater” - how do you feel safe with a space heater on overnight?
We really loved the place. The only thing missing was a table and we were confused on were to put the trash since there is not a metal trash can at the bottom of the hill.
Inside was very clean and comfortable. Front entrance porch need to be cleaned up a bit.
Still a very nice stay.
Rented for a weekend to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We brought another couple and the cabin was perfect for the four of us. Clean and had everything we needed. We spent our days touring local breweries & the location was a short uber ride to all of them. It was really nice to come back to the cabin at night versus a hotel. Would definitely recommend!
