One of the best locations on Whitmore Lake. Located on a secluded point. It is a premier, private, peninsula location with 200 ft of frontage. Clean & sandy bottom for swimming,.

Includes misc water toys, 2 kayaks, 2 paddle boards, and a paddle boat, 40ft dock with room to park your boat. the public launch is 1/4 mile away. 180 degree panoramic views of the water. Natural gas fire pit on the lakeside. Weber gas grill on deck.

Main house has 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom has a King size bed, the second bedroom has one set of bunk beds. The lower bed is a full size, the upper is twin. There is a 'port a crib' with a mattress as well.

Also on the property is a two story guest house with a full bathroom, laundry, efficiency kitchen, dining table, & patio on the lake. Upstairs in the guest house is a loft bedroom with four twin size beds, one full size bed, and two fold up cots with mattresses, the perfect spot for your children or guests!

The property is private and has enough parking for 6 vehicles and is located just 3 minutes off of US-23.

Whitmore Lake is situated just 10 minutes north of Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan, 30 minutes from Detroit Metro Airport, and 40 minutes from Flint Airport. On the south end of the lake is a marina with bait, tackle, beer, food and ice cream. Two miles from the house is a full grocery store, post office, restaurant, and gas station.
No powerboats or jet skis are included in this rental. The Marina on the lake does rent pontoon boats by the day.

Another great year at Whitmore!

This is our 4th year staying at this cottage. It is by far the best place on the lake. We bring my Mom here every year for a Mother-Daughter weekend and she loves coming back to this tranquil and peaceful place. On a point, with full view, privacy in all directions, and a great indoor and outdoor layout!

Amazing family gathering spot

What a beautiful location —even in November! The lakeview is stunning, complete with a family of swans that floated by every day. Beds were very comfortable, having 2nd sleeping house was great for when college students needed a quiet place to study. We had a lovely Thanksgiving gathering!

Perfect Lake House Getaway!!

I rarely write reviews because of my busy schedule, but this house deserves it. I will begin by stating that I am a VERY picky person when it comes to hotels and rentals. So picky, that I went to look at the lake house in person, months before booking. The home is exactly as it looks in the pictures: CLEAN, bright, right on the lake, and very private. There is plenty of grassy area for the kids to play, as well as a nice little beach with sandy shallow waters for swimming. The home owners are extremely thoughtful and have stocked the home with everything needed, including large beach towels (not the cheap kind). As an added bonus, they allow guests to use their paddle boat and 3 kayaks (as well as bikes, sand toys, and other recreational items). Our 7 and 9 year old girls became avid kayakers by the end of the week! The location is perfect for anyone visiting Ann Arbor or the Metro Detroit area because you feel like you are up north, but still close to all that the area has to offer. We have already booked our return visit for next summer!!

Better in the Past

This was our third rental of this property (previously 2015 and 2017). Nice updates have been made to the main house bathroom and second bedroom and to the guest house kitchen and bathroom. Views from this property are excellent and are reflected in the price. There was a problem with the electronic entry lock not working for the guest house. It was reported to the owner on Sunday. Tuesday morning I bought a screwdriver and battery and had to make the repairs myself. The pontoon boat had to be swept out and cleaned before we could use it.

This is the 4th time we’ve stayed at the property and it never disappoints. Best location on the lake. And the option to rent the pontoon boat makes exploring the lake a great family activity. We’ll be back! :)

Great Lake house for family get together

This lake house is absolutely beautiful. We celebrated my daughter's graduation from University of Michigan here and spent a week enjoying the beautiful lake and close proximity to local towns like Ann Arbor and Chelsea. It was just a wonderful time and Ryan was a great host. Thank you!

Great location - easy access to restaurants, activities and shopping. Wildlife was fun to observe each morning. Only suggestions - add a full length mirror - maybe inside the closet with vacuum and address slippery shower floor. We hope to return in warmer weather to utilize the lake more.

Beautiful Sun and Moon Risings!

This property is great for a weekend with family. We brought four teen girls and they loved the privacy of the guest house. We loved that it was easy to check up on them. The house is well stocked for staying in and having fun. It is well maintained and clean. I woke up daily to the gorgeous sunrise over the lake and marveled nightly at the moonrise. Thanks,

The best lake house in Michigan!

We’ve stayed at this house 3x now and it’s the perfect setup in so many ways. It’s hard to find a rental that has such a private space and full view on all sides. It also has a deck all the way around to maximize outdoor time whether your lounging or eating meals outside. The guesthouse is perfect for kids or visitors. The paddle boat, kayak and pontoon give plenty of option to hit the lake. And Whitmore even has a few local kitesurfers that are great fun to watch on the water. There is even a cute little local ice cream stand to take a walk to if you want to hit “downtown Whitmore” :) And while you feel a million miles away from city life you are just a short ride to Ann Arbor and Brighton. Highly recommmend and we will be back next year!

Amazing Waterfront Views

This was the perfect lake house for our family! The water views, the beautiful house, the amenities. The lot is nice and large with plenty of room to play outdoor games. It had everything our family needed. Having the guest house was such a bonus. We will definitely be back!
