My Old Kentucky Home Cabin

This Kentucky cabin get away is perfect for escaping the city lights and enjoying nature the way it was intended. Located in the heart of Hart County, KY, our secluded spot offers a true, rustic log cabin experience. Mammoth Cave National Park, a fantastic day trip, is 30 miles away. Also near by is Horse Cave, Kentucky Down Under, Dinosaur World, Nolin Lake, and the Corvette Museum.

Lynn Camp Launch, on the historic Green River is owned by the Wells family. This canoe/kayak rental and shuttle service is located 2 miles (5 min. Drive) from the cabin. Spend a day fishing or leisure on the most picturesque river central Kentucky has to offer. Lovely cabin on the Green River!

My husband and I had a lovely few days at the cabin to reset! We enjoyed the fire place and secluded setting. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to get away and relax!

Best Thanksgiving Ever!

I am so grateful to have found this wonderful cabin for my family to celebrate Thanksgiving together this year. Everyone loved it and we all agreed this was our best Thanksgiving ever. It was great to all be under one roof, which included my family along with my parents. The kitchen was able to handle cooking an entire Thanksgiving feast (we did bring some aluminum pans to bake caseroles in) and it was so cozy being able to have a fire going while eating, playing games, watching movies and singing karaoke. Having firewood available right outside the door for a small fee was wonderful and greatly appreciated! This cabin is dog friendly. There are two bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs). All essentials were provided and the furnishings were all comfortable. The cabin was clean and the extra touches with the decor for the holidays was just perfect! The surrounding countryside is beautiful! We did not tour any caves, or any of the other attrtactions close by because we were extrelemy content just spending a few days together as a family. Thank you for sharing this lovely cabin with us! We hope to be back again in the future!

Hunting Trip

A Peaceful Place

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was cozy and charming and comfortable. We loved listening to the owls at night while falling asleep. There was plenty of space for our two families. Eight in total. It was very quiet and we loved having coffee on the patio in the morning and playing games on the big table in the evening. The washer and dryer were also handy and our son loved the nerf gun wall! The bunk bed room was so cool for the kids and watching football on the big screen was cool for the big kids! It was too cloudy to use the telescope unfortunately, but we would have otherwise enjoyed that feature as well. The close drive to Mammoth Cave National Park was a plus and the host was prompt in replying to questions. Overall we felt very relaxed during our stay. Thank you again!

Pleasant country cabin

The cabin was very nice and had everything we needed. The kids were sad when we left, they loved the toys and books at bedtime. Upstairs bed was super comfy! Everything was clean and in working order.I enjoyed reading the guest books!

Peaceful cabin

We had a wonderful stay at your beautiful cabin! It was just what we were looking for. We woke up seeing deer, turkeys and a family of groundhogs in the yard daily. It was very peaceful! We loved exploring the caves. Lincoln museum. Day trip to Nashville. Kayaking the green river and ziplining. Thank your for opening up your home!

Kentucky Gem

This property is amazing! It is so quiet and peaceful. Everything you could need and more. We loved our visit. We went to Bowling Green, Horse Cave, and Mammoth Cave. Very convenient if you don’t mind driving 20-60 mins. The owner, Todd, is fantastic to work with as well.

Great cabin in the country

We loved our week-long stay at this great cabin in the country. It was clean, roomy and well-appointed. My kids loved the loft and many nerf guns too!

Great Location

Great little cabin with plenty of room for everything. If youre looking to be away from it all, this is the place to stay! Still within driving distance to to places like Mammoth Cave and Lincoln historical sites. Would definitely stay again.

Loved our stay

We really enjoyed our stay, if you away from the hustle of the city, this is the place to go. A family of groundhogs are living close to the house, we watched them each morning while sitting on the porch. Also, a turkey is staying close to the cabin, we saw her multiple times. Would stay here again

Perfect Getaway

This property did not disappoint! From the beautiful cabin to the property views everything was perfect. I travelled with my dog and she equally enjoyed herself! The host was outstanding and quick to respond and very accommodating to a few last minute changes. 10/10 stay and look forward to booking my next trip to My Old Kentucky Home Cabin soon!

Beautiful, serene, cozy and comfy

Had a weekend with my college roomie. We just stayed on the property and enjoyed the fireplace, firepit, and gorgeous surroundings. We had everything we needed to whip up fantastic meals. Beds were very comfortable, good water pressure in the shower, and plenty of room to spread out and enjoy some privacy. We heard owls and a pack of coyotes...just incredible!

Beautiful cabin

The cabin was perfect, exactly what we needed. That area of Kentucky is gorgeous, beautiful rolling hills. Great location to visit caves but also drive to distilleries.

Peaceful getaway

This was a great secluded getaway for our family. The kids were able to play outside in the sprinkler (we happened to stay during a heat wave). We spent a lot of time just sitting on the porch and enjoying nature. We cooked each meal and enjoyed just slowing down and spending time together as a family. The cabin had everything we needed and we were directed to a grocery store for our meal supplies. Thank you for being such great hosts!

Great place to relax and hang out.

Lovely location in the Kentucky hills. Our stay was comfortable and relaxing. The owner was really responsive when we had questions. Check in and out was a breeze.
