Why Linda chose East Hampton

Our Home was originally in Port Washington NY and it was slatted to be demolished. We thought that the house was to unique to loose. So we bought it and decided to have it moved to East Hampton. Sinclair Lewis lived it this home. He was the first American author to be awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature. He wrote the Pulitzer Prize Winning Arrowsmith, Trail Of The Hawk, and Main Street while living in this home. We love the style of this home with it's wide door frames, original chestnut moldings, the 3 fireplaces and hight ceilings.

What makes this house unique

Anyone who rents our home will appreciate the warmth, comfort and location that it offers.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This amazing home features Arts and Crafts architectural details from the 1920's...the former home of a famous American author. We found a serene setting that transported us into another world. This charming home was super-cozy and immaculate for our fall get away. The grounds are beautiful, the location is superb, with gourmet shops offering the very best. The Hampton's lush natural beauty is a feast for the eyes! We enjoyed the world class beaches...including Main Beach which was voted 2013 Best Beach in America.

Lovely, charming and a wonderfully cozy & historic home!

Our group had a wonderful time at Wren House in East Hampton (even in spite of the cold and rain!) and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and charming home to spend time in! We loved it!

Wonderful ~ a magic and inspiring place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

Having lived in East Hampton for years I thought I knew the full range of homes available for holiday rentals - but I was wrong, somehow this magic American Arts & Crafts masterpiece had escaped my attention. My family and I fell in love with this house. It was like a safe, hidden and warm cocoon nestled in the best central location of East Hampton. The interior is well appointed, easy to manage, large enough to spread our wings in and each of us to disappear in when we wanted. My family and I hunkered down, used the wonderful pool, grilled outside, always felt safe and warm - and were able to walk to Georgica beach at a moments notice. We visit from London which makes for a long trip, and this house makes it worth every effort. We fully intend on making this our designated summer vacation home, and will return often... Alex Echo

Another fabulous time in the Hamptons!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Linda for the use of your fabulous home that now feels like our little getaway in the Hamptons! The location is so perfect. Quiet streets to bike, walk or run on and very close to two beaches. Georgica beach was perfect for flying our kites and early morning walks. Our family of six played in the pool, rode bikes and explored all around the area. Also loved the fully stocked kitchen, since we love to cook!

Tranquil Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just returned from a tranquil stay at Linda's home. The property and gardens are absolutely gorgeous. We used the supplied bikes to ride to Georgica Beach, but mostly found ourselves lounging around the heated pool enjoying the privacy of the beautiful grounds. The location is perfect, south of the highway, very quiet and relaxing, close to the ocean, town, shopping, movies, and restaurants. As commented by others, Linda provided us with great customer service. She answered all of our questions and was very pleasant to work with. We will definitely be returning next year! I highly recommend this property.

Outstanding property. Well worth the price.

  • 5 of 5

Our family of six adults enjoyed a week at this wonderfully private and up-to-date location in the East Hamptons. Lots of character and very comfortable. The bikes available made for some fun short trips to the beach and into town. Loved the place. Quite yet close to town.

Can't Wait to Return

  • 5 of 5

We had the most amazing time at your home Linda over the week of the 4th.

Such a well stocked kitchen and home! We enjoyed all the amenities, riding bikes into town, walking to the beach, kayaking, surfing and the beautiful pool and yard!! Heaven!

Our family felt like it was our home away from home. Truly, can't wait until we can return.
