The house was in the most peaceful place. Quiet and relaxing. Quaint, the house is well kept and though its not fancy it was perfect. We truly enjoyed our stay.
Husband and I loved staying here. Nice country setting by the river, which you can walk right over to. Beautiful setting. Not a place for your gadgets, which was perfect for us (though the WiFi did well for our phones when needed). The stairs on the outside and inside are pretty serious, even for healthy adults! We’ll be back.

No property was not marked with house number and they all looked alike. Bathroom smelled of mildew had soured towels shower curtain mold on the floor. No internet. When pulled into property setting right out from a garbage can over ran with garbage has no kitchen towels or paper towels no lights in kitchen. The list can go on and on but I am tired of typing
Upon entering the cabin, by eye it was beautiful. The setting and porches in the nature were beautiful. As we walked to look around, the downstairs basement was filthy. The shower had old band aids on the soap shelf, hair and dust all over it. The mirror was on the floor with toothpastes splatters. The floors and large rug were not swept or vacuumed. The smell of musty was strong and coming from a old dried up mop. We took the mop outside only for me to step on an old rusty screw. It was dark and alot of the outside lights were not working. We used our flaslight on our phone and picked up about 20 that were scattered on the deck. Underneath the rug by the hammock they were more with nails and screws. The upper bedroom had a large brown stain on the sheets and lady bugs were infested in the cabin. I contacted the host. Her cleaners cleaned the bedding and towels, however we never received another comforter for the main bed as the one used I denied having. We washed the extra blankets ourselves and I cleaned. Everything used during our stay had to be cleaned, the kitchen was a scrub down. They had no necessities like kitchen towels, dish rags, dish soap, 0

Why they chose this property
The cabin is set back from the river, but including a river lot offset to the right when facing the river. Follow the garden path! We keep it cut down so you can walk more easily to the bank. Under the cabin, you’ll find a few things stored away to help make your stay more homey like a fire pit and grill. You’re welcome to pull them out (please don’t cook under the cabin and ruin the fun ;)) and enjoy the outdoors.
On the lower deck, you’ll find your main seating area. We have some citronella options for the Louisiana wildlife (ie mosquitos) during most seasons, but the view and rest of the scenery are worth it! All of the furniture can be shuffled around to seat at your pleasure. We keep the hammock and sling chairs to the side of the wrap around porch near the lower level entrance door. The kids can hang life jackets on the ropes or towels to air dry. We are family-friendly, so it’s set up for our kiddos as well.
On the upper deck is where you’ll find the main entrance and digital door lock. There’s a porch swing and wooden furniture to add the nostalgia of our grandparents’ camps in our own childhood memories! Swing the cares away as you slow down for your stay.
What makes this property unique
You may see all kinds of wildlife on your stay. From fish in the river to deer in the woods and and everything in between, you’ll be “camping” without the roughing it part. Feel free to bring a tent if you would like to extend your adventure to the pure outdoors, but the cabin is the way we prefer! As with any country life, be on the lookout for bugs, snakes, birds, and our famous Louisiana mosquitos which can be spotted year-round! Welcome to our neck of the woods with a fabulous view!
