House was charming and clean, well stocked with plenty of towels and comfortable beds. There is a nightlife lounge next door which played loud music until 1am, but with a white noise machine it was tolerable. Located in a business district, not a neighborhood.
The host Rachel was super nice and very quick to respond. Great location to main roads and easy access to highway. Very clean & fully equipped. There are no TVs in the bedrooms so that was a bummer. There were issues with getting the upstairs toilet to flush so we had to keep working with it. This forced the family to leans towards using the downstairs bathroom to keep from dealing with the plunger.

Hi, thank you for your response. We have pictures of each bedroom, and none of the pictures have a tv in the bedrooms. We do however have a tv in the living room (as pictured) and offer peacock streaming service to allow guest to watch tv shows. This is the first complaint we have received of the upstairs toilet. As I mentioned in our messages, you do have to hold the knob until the toilet completely flushes. Once I arrived to clean the house, I did not see any trouble with the toilet. It could have been the amount of toilet paper used. I leave six rolls of toilet paper and after your one nights stay there were only one and a half rolls left.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The house was clean, comfortable, and had a nice decor and color scheme. Communication from the owner was prompt and friendly throughout our visit.A few issues that came up during our stay: the heater in the kitchen wasn’t working (which turned out to be a rare cold day in Louisiana), and there was some broken glass in the backyard from a damaged exterior window pane. The owners were quick to respond and I anticipate that’ll be handled soon. Also note, although the property is near the Garden District, it isn’t in a traditional neighborhood. It’s basically downtown Monroe in a business area. There was some traffic and train noise at times, but with a little white noise, it wasn’t a problem for us. Next door is an establishment with a large outdoor patio type setup. Surprisingly, even with a late night gathering we weren’t disturbed with loud noise. For those who like night life, there are some dive bars, pubs, etc within walking distance.
Everything was as advertised. Would certainly stay here again.

About the host
Hosted by Rachel Lee
We are from NorthEast Louisiana. We love attending the Monroe Moccasin hockey games, so we decided to create a rental home for us and others to enjoy.
Why they chose this property
We chose this neighborhood because of the great location. It’s walking distance to several great local restaurants and bars. It’s also less than 1 mile from the Monroe Civic Center and Interstate I-20.
What makes this property unique
Aside from great location, we wanted to give the house a taste of Louisiana with the coastal blues, alligators, and oyster accents.
