Our daughter’s 18th birthday coincided with the long Thanksgiving weekend. We needed a way to make it special in spite of the quarantine. She suggested we find a vrbo in the Back Bay (one of her favorite places) to move our bubble to. This was the perfect setting. Just a block from the Boston Commons, 2 blocks up hill from the eminently walkable Charles Street, the apartment was ideally located. More spacious than it appears in the photos, it was all the room the 4 of us (2 parents, 2 adult children) needed for a quiet weekend of reading books, playing cards, and binge watching Netflix favorites. The wifi worked just fine for us. We had a simple Thanksgiving meal (roast chix, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce), which we found easy to prepare in the well-equipped kitchen. Each day, we donned masks and took nice long walks along the Charles River and through the Back Bay. We could not have enjoyed our stay more and hope to return.
