What a great location! Couldn't be easier to walk out and hike. Easy to drive to RMNP also. We saw our first MOOSE on the Ouzel Falls trail at Wild Basin! Thank you

Beautiful, secluded mountain cabin

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay here!! The location is absolutely beautiful and the Ceran Saint Vrain trailhead is so convenient to walk to from the cabin! We walked the whole trail twice (about 4 miles roundtrip) when the weather was rainy and it was still a great time. The cabin is a great location in between Boulder and Estes. We saw moose every time we left the cabin and came back which was amazing. Everything was just as described and the fireplace was lovely for cooler evenings.

Spacious and Private

  • 5 of 5

Great cabin on the St. Vrain creek located at the head of the St. Vrain trail. Our family enjoyed staying at Ray's spacious and relaxing cabin. The children loved the play equipment and the hiking on the st. vrain trail. Ray was very friendly and answered any question we had prior to our trip and during our stay. Thanks for sharing your cabin in the wilderness with our family and we look forward to coming back again.

Great stay in a perfect setting!

  • 5 of 5

The house was cosy, warm, and well equipped. Ray went out of his way to make sure we had good directions and everything we needed. But the best part was the location!! You can hear the water from the balcony, and a beautiful trail was just a couple minutes walk from the front door. I would definitely come again just for that!! Thanks Ray - it was just what we needed!!

Lovely, peaceful location and well-kept house. Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We had a very nice experience at this great house! Kids (6 And 8) loved the play area, and the house was clean and very comfy with plenty of bedding, lots of space, and a huge dining table. We didn't use the hot tub---too busy adventuring in the area!

There were a few movies and board games, but I recommend packing your own movies, books and games to play, to expand your entertainment options. Wifi was perfectly adequate, but not quite speedy enough to stream movies online, which is to be expected in the mountains, so not a negative at all, but worth knowing so you can bring more family entertainment.

The stretch ofstream near the Ceran St. Vrain trailhead, in close walking distance to the house, was perfect for kids to splash around in, and gorgeous.

We visited Rocky Mountain National Park on 2 days while the kids worked on their Jr. Ranger badges, hung out in Estes Park and did some kid-friendly fishing at Trout Haven (little boys LOVED that easy fishing!), then headed south to Black Hawk to take a tour of the Hidee Gold Mine where the kids panned for gold, toured the old mine, and got to chisel a piece of gold ore out of the mine to take home. So, house was centrally located to lots of activities.

Overall, we were delighted with our stay there. My 6 year old wants me to add, "I give it two thumbs up for EVERYTHING!".

We enjoyed our week at this beautiful mountain home. It is close to Boulder and to Estes Park. Large dining table was great for family dinners every night. Loved the large deck. It was wonderful to sit and drink our coffee outside on the deck in the morning.
