What a great location! Couldn't be easier to walk out and hike. Easy to drive to RMNP also. We saw our first MOOSE on the Ouzel Falls trail at Wild Basin! Thank you

Great location, family friendly, peaceful

  • 4 of 5

We had a nice stay here. The location next to the trailhead was great. The Ceran St. Vrain is very heavily used on the weekends. The house is situated a ways back from the road, which is nice. You still feel secluded, despite all the cars coming and going from the trailhead. You can't see or hear any other houses from the cabin, which was also nice. The play structure and hot tub were a huge hit with the kids. They also spent a tone of time playing in the creek. The pond on the property is pretty tiny and filled with scum and plants -- you will definitely not want to fish or play in it. If you want to fish, you'll have to use the creek. The house itself is definitely outdated, but in working order. I'd be hesitant to stay there in winter as the windows are really crummy, and I bet it gets cold. It was mostly clean. The beds really need to be updated-- we got backaches sleeping on them. The kitchen supplies were also really bad. The pans were all warped and there wasn't a non-stick pan that wasn't all scratched up. There were no drinking glasses (only plastic kid cups). There is no dishwasher, and whoever had stayed there before us had put a lot of dishes away dirty and wet. It was pretty gross. Overall, we had a nice stay here despite the bad kitchen supplies and beds.

The perfect get away!

  • 5 of 5

We loved everything about our stay in this lovely cabin. It was perfect for our family! The location was off the beaten path yet easy to find. There were plenty of other options near by. We hiked, fished, relaxed by the river and even did senior pictures for our oldest granddaughter. Wonderful memories were made!

Great Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I treated our adult daughter and her boyfriend, our adult son, and our four grandkids, ages 11, 7, 3 and 3 to a few days in Colorado, and this was the perfect spot for us! The drive up to the house from Boulder is about 45 minutes, but how could you complain about a 45 minute drive in scenic Colorado!?! The house is amazing and was exactly what we needed. We enjoyed several meals at the house and could not want for any utensils in the kitchen. The bedrooms were just right, and the kids loved the bunk room. The outdoor play area was the perfect spot for the kids to play after being couped up in the car all day, and the hot tub right near the play area allowed the adults to relax as well. We easily went to Rocky Mountain National Park, Idaho Springs, Denver, Morrison, and, of course, Boulder, with no issues. Our family seriously loved this place and would try to book it again for future visits. Thanks, Ray and family!

P.S.

Your decor was perfect for this grandma!!! :)
